we have of her at any of our Calvert's Express Auto Service centersHer
accusation of us damaging her vehicle is just not trueIf we would have
stripped out the drain plug then how did the plug stay in place since last
November? Unfortunately her vehicle along with most vehicles built in the last
years came with an aluminum oil pan in an effort to shed weightThe bad
thing about the aluminum oil pans is that they have a tendency to crack and to
wear out the drain plug threads due to aluminum not being nearly as strong and
durable as the steel oil pan that it replacedI am truly sorry *** is
upset with us and I really believe she thinks we damaged her oil pan but the
facts do not support her claimAs I told *** there is a reason her
aluminum oil pan is in stock everywhereThat reason is that they are in demand
and replaced quite oftenWe offered *** 20% off the needed repair and
that offer still stands

Complaint: ***Ms***,I am rejecting this response because:As stated to Calvert, no message from Calvert was ever flagged in my SPAM or JUNK email. There is nothing wrong with my email. I do not have a cellular phone. Instead of continuing on email technicalities, the bottom line is that Calvert admits that I was registered for two years and did not receive any of the two promised oil changes. The ethical solution is to reimburse me for $40.56.Thank you, Ms*** and Mr***.Regards,

Dear Revdex.com, Mr*** brought his Ford Explorer to our *** location on July 17th complaining of a coolant leak in the area of his engineThis was the only complaint listed on his work orderOur technician pulled it in and quickly saw that the coolant housing was leaking coolantNo
other leaks were visible.Our manager recommended a new coolant housing and the customer agreed to the repairWe proceeded to replace the housing then retested for coolant leaksNo other coolant leaks were found but the technician did notice that the engine had a misfireOur manager called Mr*** with this info and did recommend a tune up to start, since the tune up was overdueMr*** declined any further repairs and picked up his vehicle. Mr*** called our *** shop the next day and complained his vehicle was overheating and wanted it towed to our locationOur manager agreed to tow it, with the stipulation that if the overheating was caused by our work, and then we would pay for the towOtherwise it would be the customer’s responsibilityThe vehicle was towed to our shop where it was found to have a blown head gasketOur manager explained the situation to Mr***, including the fact that if you repair a leak in a pressurized system such as a cooling system, there can be issues with the next weakest part in the system failingIn this case it was the head gasketOur manager priced the repair for Mr*** but he was not happy and called me insteadI promised to investigate this issue and call him backWhen I called back, I agreed to discount the labor to appease Mr***, who has been a steady and loyal customer of Calvert's ExpressMr*** agreed to the deal and our technician commenced to tearing down the engine to remove the cylinder heads.This is where the big issue presented itselfOn Mr***'s Explorer, it has the Vengine with a separate timing chain behind the motor, which means the engine needs to be removed to remove the cylinder headsThis extra labor makes the repair cost sky high compared to other vehiclesI explained this to Mr.***, who had declined the expensive repairWe put everything back together and he picked up his vehicleI had agreed to cover the tow and rebate him the cost of the labor on his previous repair in an effort to save him as a customer.When we make an offer such as this, we often will have the customer sign a waiver which releases us from future liability and states the customer will not stop payment, file suit, denigrate us online etcMr*** refused to sign so he ended up paying for the tow since it was not related to the repair we performedI am truly sorry we could not resolve this and keep Mr*** as a customer but it was not from lack of effortIn summary, he brought his vehicle in for a coolant leak which we successfully repaired, and that is all we charged him for besides the tow cost. On 2-16-*** ***
checked her vehicle in for service at our shop
located at *** *** *** in Kansas City, Ks Ms*** stated
"My vehicle is leaking antifreeze and overheating" Upon our
inspection of the vehicle it was noted that there was no coolant in the car
prior to serviceUpon diagnosis we determined her
vehicle needed a water pump and head
gasket. The customer chose to do a water pump repair but
declined the head gasket repairThe vehicle would not start after the water pump repair was performed due to the cylinders in the engine filling with coolant as a result of the head gasket having failed to keep the water out of the combustion chambers and hydro-locking the engineHydro-locking occurs when an engine has antifreeze leaking into the cylindersThe antifreeze will not explode as fuel does in the engine and will not pass through the exhaust since it is non-combustible and preventing the engine from turning overThis
condition was not present prior to the water pump replacement as it had no coolant in the system to hydro lock the
engine Although we
sympathize with Ms***’s situation we should not be held accountable for
the cost of a new engine since we notified the customer of the head gasket

I am rejecting this response because: I took my car to another dealership when my power steering belt broke, and there response was everything in this car is loose and not tight" Have you had this car worked on recently?" Yes, they didn't do any work on my power steering but they had to bypass that area to get to the leakThe customer service was rude, the wait was forever, and the product not received are all reasons why I am not accepting this response.

On 04/21/16, Mr*** signed a confidential release and settlement agreement As per that agreement, $was refunded to his credit card and he released the company from all future claims

I am rejecting this response because: The General Manager Lied...I have yet to receive my key lock from my carI have called again this Pass Monday 11/13/and still haven't hear anything yetI am not happy with the run around I am gettingI call the Location on Wornal and take to Manager Jason B*** and he acted as if he was clueless about my key lock so I proceeded to contact corporate officeI want my key lock for my car I told them I need to get tires put on my car and cannot without this key lock they lostI also contacted the infinity and Nissan dealership in Missouri and Kansas and I was told if a key lock was ordered it would take no longer than a week to get itIts been almost a monthI just want my car key lock from this company and I will never return to them ever again

Some how that fact was not brought to lightYour company decided to install Sensatrac stutts without informing us.We found out that sensa-trac struts were installed after the factThis is not what we asked for.I realize that I made a huge mistake allowing Calverts to work on my car
Now everyday that this is not resolved more and more people will also know.The Missouri Attorney General ????Congratulations, you RIPPED ME OFF for $dollars plus the cost of the alignment. LESSON LEARNEDWHAT A MISTAKE IT WAS TO DO BUSINESS WITH CALVERTS

I am rejecting this response because: the response is incorrectwhen I called to get a quote for a converter it was before my car started making noiseWhen I brought my car to you I informed you on what my car was doing which was shaking and acting as though it was going to stopWhat I said was " The last time I checked the light it said the converter but I wasn't sure", the guy who I spoke with said " It like your car is choking and that it sounded like an converter and said her was going to find out" However they did not try to fix the problem of the shaking they just assumed it was the converterI called the same day when I made it home because my car was doing the same thing, the guy said bring it back they was going to check it outI brought it back, the next day they claimed it was misfiresMy question was why wasn't it told to me that two codes popped, why wasn't I the one making the decision on rather or not to fix the converter over the misfiresWhat I was confused the most about was if you are a shop who fix auto repair, and you knew misfires and the converter popped, They should have known that fixing the converter first didn't make any since because the misfires would just ruin the converter and I would have never agreed to doing the converter over the misfires but I was not told about the misfires until after I brought my car backThan after taking to the district manager ( He was just as rude as his workers, and automatically assume what his workers said was correct before even listening to me) but agreed to only fixing the two of the spark which they assumed was causing the problemThe next day the guy called and said it was the engineI had my car towed to another auto repair shop who did a full diagnostic on my car and find out that nothing they said was wrong with my car was true, there was nothing wrong with my engineThey didn't know what was wrong with my car when I dropped, and should have said that instead of taking my money and finding every excuse not to give me money backAgain "I DO NOT" recommend this place to no oneThe reviews are horrible( which I would have read the before dropping my car off) the have a C and not even accredited through the Revdex.com which that don't surprise me at all.

With this complaint it is very difficult to
figure out if the top off service
was completed or not because an entire month
passed between the date of service and the day that the low fluids were
discoveredThere could be leaks in the systems that could cause the fluid
levels to lower over timeHowever, for customer satisfaction we would be
willing to refund our customer the cost of the top off service which is $
That is the amount the customer paid for the top off service that is in
dispute

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meIf they would do some further investigation they would find per the *** site the brakes that replaced the ones that were put on by Calvert's are not only for an 'Dodge Caravan they are for several types of Dodge and Chrysler vehicles and Ford vehicles, mine being one of them I did my part of the investigation that has lead me to believe that Calvert's is not a place I will be reurning to I look forward to the refund that *** refers too

I am rejecting this response because:Someone other have worked on my brakes many timesI have a Dodge Caravan not the first time my brakes needed to be repairedwhat sense do this make repair done prior to their inspection of my brakesThe only issue is their brakes inspection and unsatisfactory work disabling my car, would not put my car back as it was when I drove it into them, if their were a problem they should should have inform me of the possible of it breaking not brake it then tell me I can not moved my car unless I get it fix Monies was paid to that company to repair my brake which they said would fixed the problem, still exist my brakes has not been repaired by them go to another Calvert's company is not a solution my money was paid to that company at that location for brake repair not done brakes issues same as they were when I drove my car in for inspection and repairThis is not a solution to go another Calvert's companyI paid for my brakes to be repaired they were not repaired plain and simple
