I am rejecting this response because I specifically indicated that I have three cars and all three are registered to my account. I am not sharing my permit and/or abusing my permit in any way as is evidenced by the fact that my vehicle was actively registered and has been actively registered to my account for years. I am asking for a courtesy override to allow me to link all three of my vehicles to my permit. I am fully aware of the ways I can change which vehicles are linked to my account. The problem is that I do not want to have to do this on a day to day basis as I have more pressing matters to attend to instead of trying to remember which vehicles are linked and to change them. The whole reason for my ticket is that I FORGOT to go online to change which vehicle was linked to my permit because I had a patient on the OR table and was fielding multiple other issues at the time. I am trying to follow all of Campusparc's rules, but the rules are a burden to busy professionals. The courtesy to allow me to link three vehicles, and other such reasonable accommodations to honest customers would go a long way towards improving the company's reputation. Once again, I fully understand what your rules are. However the stringent, unyielding nature of enforcement of these rules and the inability to make exceptions, especially in the face of evidence that there was no sharing or abuse of my permit, is what is causing my frustration, and I will tell you, is the source of frustration to almost every employee at OSUMC who has had a similar interaction with Campusparc. I am asking that in the name of customer service and as a show of good faith that you allow me to link all three of my vehicles to my permit and that my citation be rescinded.Regards,[redacted]

We believe that matter to have been resolved directly with the customer, via an email exchange in November of 2015.CampusParc Customer Service

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

Mr. [redacted],This invoice that you received was generated by the Ohio State University because your parking permit was not canceled. The Payroll Deduction Enrollment Form that you signed when you purchased your permit states the following:      Termination of...

Employment and Missed Deductions                * If your employment with the University terminates, you must return your permit to CampusParc located at 1560 N. High St. The cancellation date of a permit is the date a permit is                    returned to the CampusParc office, and not your date of termination from the University. Until the permit is returned to CampusParc, it is considered active, an you will remain                         financially responsible for the permit fee.          * If a pre-tax parking deduction is missed for any reason, including due to your termination of employment or an insufficient amount in your paycheck to cover the permit fee, you are                    still financially responsible for the permit fee. Failure to pay a missed deduction will result in issuance of a citation and revocation of a permit, and unpaid citations or parking with a                    revoked permit may lead to impoundment of a vehicle.          * By participating in the Program, you agree that: 1) the University may withhold any overdue and outstanding parking permit fees form any amounts owed to you by the University; and               2) any outstanding balance is a debt to the University that may be collected. In addition to returning the permit items, you would have also needed to sign the permit payroll deduction cancellation form. To date, we have not received your permit items or the payroll cancellation form. I have copied the University on this response as the payroll deduction contract is between you and the University. Sincerely,Kelly S[redacted]Manager, Customer ServiceCampusParc1560 N. [redacted], Your citation is currently under appeal and awaiting review.  While a citation is under appeal, you can purchase your permit so you can continue to park on campus.  We encourage you to do this immediately before the appeal is reviewed.  If you get your permit ordered...

prior to the appeal being finalized, the citation will be reduced to a Failure to Register violation, which carries a fine of only $7.50.Sincerely,CampusParc Customer Service Center

We are sorry to hear of your troubles parking on campus recently.  November 5, 2016 was a home football game at OSU.  During home football games, it is referred to as a "Global Event" and the parking system is handed back over to the University.  During these large events, the normal...

rules for parking are not applicable.  Certain parking ares may be restricted to Accessible parking customers only, or event specific permit holders.  CampusParc does not make these policies and is bound to follow university direction in how the parking system is managed.  It appears that you may not have presented the most recent event hangtag when you attempted to park in the garage.  The new event hangtags are bluish in color and have a number starting with "17EH" printed near the bar code.  Had this been presented at the time you were attempting to park, no payment would have been required.  As the revenue generated for football parking does not belong to CampusParc, it is not ours to return to you.  However, we have submitted a request to the Department of Athletics, to see if they are willing to refund your money. Our maintenance department has been alerted to the surface lot you mentioned, and will make any repairs within their abilities.  This area is slated for more extensive repair work next Summer.  We have a procedure in place to process claims of vehicle damage.  If you would like, we can have one of our personnel reach out to you and schedule a time to meet and fill out the claims packet.  At which point it will be submitted to our claims department to handle. If the Department of Athletics agrees to the refund, a check will be mailed out to the address we have on file, in the amount of $20.00.Sincerely,CampusParc Customer Service

Ms. [redacted],CampusParc limits the amount of vehicles linked to an active permit to two, in an effort to prevent abuse of the parking system by sharing of ones permit.    You may have as many vehicles as you desire on your account, but only two may be linked to an active permit at a...

time.  We offer numerous methods to switch the vehicles linked to your permit. You can manage your vehicles 24/7 via our customer portal at osu.campusparc.com, send an email request to [redacted] or call our customer service center at ###-###-#### during business hours. Sincerely,CampusParc Customer Service

Ms. [redacted],We do apologize for the difficulties you experienced while attempting to make payment for your citations online.  We have researched the incident with our credit card processor and the reason your payments were being declined, was due to a mismatch of the address you entered into...

the system to the one on file with your credit card company.  We have attached a transaction detail report from one of the attempted payments, which gives an explanation as to why it was declined.  We no longer accept phone payments in order to protect our customers credit card information.  We understand that this creates an inconvenience at times, but we feel this inconvenience is outweighed by the added security to our customers.

During certain athletic or special events, CampusParc is required by the University to close off certain lots on campus.  During the One Direction concert, many lots near the stadium were blocked off for concert permit holders and crew.  Signs were posted in these lots 4 days prior to the...

event alerting customers.  We also posted the notice on our website and in OnCampus Today, which is emailed to all Faculty, Staff and Students.  CampusParc does not collect the proceeds generated from these large events, all proceeds are returned to the University.  We made a good effort to alert our customers of the pending impact.

Hello,Please see the attached picture of the emails I sent to the email address you guys list on your business cards and direct everyone to email. I have heard from many people regarding this that they never hear a response. I have also emailed this email regarding the elevators being out last year often enough to consider it not ADA approved but did not hear any response. Since you took the time to address this, I would like the $5 refund since I have yet to receive it.I fully understand bounced check fees. What I was addressing was that your office supervisors were telling me to come with $905 after the bounced check and when I said I wanted to pay in cash. It sounds like you as a company need to better inform your employees so they don't tell people to come with less cash than your charging, and you can listen to that conversation I had with Sabrina to confirm. Regarding the two hang ups I got when I called the dispatchers, I am sure you can listen to those phone calls as well to see that the dispatcher did not respond. So either your dispatchers need new phones or there was a hang up.thank you,[redacted]

on campus.
CampusParc does collect all revenue from transient and
permit parking on campus.  Portions of
the revenue generated from parking permit sales and transient parkers, is used
to fund capital improvement projects, which includes pothole repair,
resurfacing/re-striping and lighting upgrades.
It is also used to repair or retro-fit current parking structures and
the equipment used in them.
CampusParc enforces on behalf of the university to drive
compliance of all parkers on campus.  All
net proceeds generated from parking enforcement is returned to the university,
and is not a means to generate revenue for CampusParc.  The enforcement operation issues citations in
an effort to maintain control of the parking system and to ensure all users pay
their fair share to park on campus.
Those that abuse the parking system can and will be cited.
Every Faculty, Staff, Student, and visitor to this campus
must pay to park.  This has been the
policy prior to CampusParc operating the parking system, and will continue to
be the policy going forward.  Pricing and
allocation of parking is set by the university and was specifically outlined in
the concession agreement since day one.
CampusParc cannot set limits on certain permits without the directive of
the university, nor can we allocate parking to certain permit types or
visitors, unless directed to by the university.
For example, the medical center has a “Patient First” philosophy and has
directed CampusParc to allocate more parking to patients and visitors, thus reducing
the overall space allocation to permit holders.
This leaves our customers in a very uncomfortable position, with limited
options for close proximate parking near the medical.  Often, customers will opt to forgo a central
campus permit for a remote permit, to avoid the hassle of trying to find a
parking space in the polo lot during certain peak demand periods.  This does not benefit CampusParc, as it has
created an unsatisfactory customer experience; however, it was a decision the
medical center had to make because of the increased demand by patients and visitors.
The polo lot is currently located in the 500 year floodplain
and is susceptible to standing water during the times of heavy rain.  This causes excessive wear on the asphalt,
which inevitably leads to potholes.  We
do make every effort to repair potholes when we are made aware, and customers
can call or email our Customer Service Center to report problem areas.  As you stated in your complaint, the polo lot
is slated to be removed to realign Cannon Drive.  The realignment of Cannon Drive is necessary
to raise the roadway to protect the medical center from flooding.   It has
been part of the universities long-term framework plan to move and raise Cannon
Drive prior to CampusParc operating on campus.
While there is a large gravel lot located to the south of the Polo lot,
there are environmental issues pertaining to the lot that has made it ineligible
to be considered a short-term solution for permit holders.
The university is responsible for building additional
parking areas or garages, as demand for parking increases, or spaces are
removed.  There was a new medical tower
that opened in 2014, which contributed to an increase in patients, visitors,
and employees of the medical center.  The
construction of the new tower did not allocate any funds to building or
expanding the current parking infrastructure.
However, we are pleased to report that there are plans to erect
additional garages and parking lots to support the medical center.  While we do not have the specific details
about when/where the construction will begin, we have been told that the new
structures may be completed prior to the removal of the Polo lot.  This would likely mean the university would
delay the alignment of Cannon Drive until the structures are built.
We hope that we have been able to address your concerns and provide
clarifying information.  If you would
like to send your concerns to the university, you may contact the Parking
Advisory Committee at pac@[redacted].edu.  This is the main intake for all parking
related matters for the university.  If
you have any questions or need any other information from us, please feel free to
contact our Customer Service Center at 614-688-0000 or email at [redacted][email protected].
Sincerely,
CampusParc Customer Service Center

I am rejecting this response because: I did try to renew on their website and believed that I had done so according to their rules. They have done this exact same thing to at least 3 of my peers that I work with. I believe the problem is on their end and that it is unacceptable that I should be required to pay for their mistake.Regards, [redacted]

CampusParc has responded directly to the individual that filed this complaint (see attachment #2).  We have also attached supporting documentation which shows the location of the No Parking sign, along with the individuals vehicle parked in this area.  The enforcement manager has reviewed...

the citation and surveyed the parking area.  He has found this to be a valid citation in accordance with the Codified Parking Rules and Regulations approved by the Board of Trustees  of OSU in June of 2014.  We understand that receiving a citation is an unpleasant experience, however, CampusParc is bound to by an agreement with OSU to enforce all parking rules on campus, 24/7.Sincerely,Zach E[redacted]Director of AdministrationCampusParc LP
