I purchased a tankless heating unit which combines hot water and heating in the same unit. Soon after it was installed like one week, my heat went off, and we were without heat and hot water, for a couple of days which was the earliest they could provide a technician. The tech then showed me that I could press a RESET button which would start the unit again. Unfortunately, it did nothing to solve the problem why the unit was shutting down when the wind was blowing outside. In the last 14 months we have had their techs out to do an inspection as routine , and according to them all is fine. On another occasion the tech suggested to write down the error messages appearing when it shuts down, which I did to NO avail. Recently, one tech suggested to change the venting, however, another tech said that would not make any difference. Mostly recently, the hot water , stopped coming out for No apparent reason, again they have no answer Any reasonable person knows that it is either a venting problem, and the machine, but they do not want to deal with it in any matter , I recently spoke to their customer complaints department and *** and would do nothing.

The customer has the direct contact and phone number for the resolution department. The customer was requesting a 2 hour service window. The service technicians that have attended have never witnessed the service issue the customer describes. The Rinnai unit has always been working when they have attended. Reliance and the Rinnai technical specialist confirmed there is not as issue with the venting.

Tony was our repairman today, Sunday, February 2nd 2020. We had a gas leak on our hot water heater.
He was knowledgeable, fast and thorough and very friendly and reassuring.
All I can say that we are very pleased with his service. And of course he fixed the problem.

Thank you so much for your kind words, *** . We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us—and we agree, Tony is truly a gem to have on our team! We count ourselves lucky for customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future! - Gemma

We have had positive service and support from this company for 8 years - they installed a furnace, heat pump and hot water on demand which we greatly enjoy. The technicians and local office staff have been responsive, helpful, and professional.
However, over the past few years, there have been significant challenges re billing for service/repairs under warranty or through the *** annual maintenance and protection plan. Once we were billed $600 for a repair undertaken under warranty. Last summer, we signed up for the protection plan...however, it has taken numerous (long!) phone calls with various representatives to straighten out our billing and be reimbursed for a $100 service call. The maintenance/protection plan, as we've experienced it, feels like a *** and is disappointing especially given our longstanding relationship and trust in this company.

We purchased the AC from Canada Furnace on April 9th but never use it until June before we found out that the unit does not work at all. Two repair appointments has been scheduled but the problem is still not fixed. Also note that the technician arrived two and half hours late on the second appointment.

We contacted the customer service for the third appointment but they were not able to re-schedule it in a timely manner. We escalated to the supervisor and were promised to call back but never heard from them.

We are very unsatisfied about both Canada Furnace's product/installation quality and customer service.

Initial Business Response /(1000, 5, 2019/06/21) */
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention so we could review further.
I understand you have been in direct contact with Jeff B, at the location branch, who is working with you to ensure all concerns are addressed.
Should you have any further concerns, please feel free to contact us.

A new motor was installed in my furnace on February 11, 2019. When I paid the technician ($472.50), it was through an app on his cell phone. He said the company had gone paperless and a receipt would be emailed to me by the end of the day. After a couple of days I had not received the receipt so I contacted the company. After a bit of confusion, on February 25th they emailed me a letter stating my account was paid in full. I contacted them and explained that I wanted a proper document with details of the work performed and the parts installed, including warranty information on the motor. After numerous emails and phone calls, finally on March 19th, I received an emailed receipt which said "Service call, including diagnosis, parts and labour", $472.50, "Paid in Full". I contacted them again explaining that what I was looking for was a detailed receipt which also confirmed warranty information. On March 26th I received an email which included a letter which simply stated "confirmation of the install of the motor at the above address" and confirmation they had received my payment. In that email, they indicated that someone would follow up regarding the warranty on the motor. To date I have not heard back from them despite emailing them again on April 3rd. My concern is that if we have any issues with the furnace motor over the next year, we have no documentation confirming that there is any warranty on the motor or service. I have had service on my furnace in the past from other reputable companies and have always received proper detailed documentation from them.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /(2000, 7, 2019/05/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company has now provided me with documentation confirming the details of the service performed as well as warranty information on the motor which was installed in my furnace.

Thank you for your assistance is helping me get this situation resolved.

Tried scheduling a 2 year follow up visit as per our contract. Scheduled it a month in advance. Appointment was made for a time frame of between 10-2. Came home from work to be home for the appointment only to receive a call at 12pm notifying me of cancellation. Rescheduled for 3 days later, same time frame. Missed another 4 hours of work waiting. This time nobody showed up and no phone call. Worst customer service I've experienced.

Highly NOT recommended!

We had a furnace installed in Oct of 2017 We have had 4 service calls from this company on the equipment. We spent close to 8000 dolllars on the equipment. The last service call was on Mar 18 when the tec was supposed to show up between 7.30 and 11.30 but showed up at 4.40 He came and said will order parts I phoned the company again on 21 March they said parts still on order I asked them that before us buying the equipment they said we shouldn't have problems with this equipment for a long time why are we having so much problems. They told me a service manger will call me today is within 2 days I haven't heard any calls from anyone. I called them again today about the part The call centre told me the part was supposed to be delivered at ur door on March 22 and today is 26 we don't have the part and no calls from this company. *** very poor customer service after they get the money. I haven't got the problem fixed yet

Worst company ever. They have a customer service phone and you talk to somebody that doesn't know anything else then you have to pay for technician, for parts for labour. They will never transfer the call to service department. They will never honour the warranty of the product. My hot water tank in under 8 years waranty and part 6 years warranty. They didn't even want to accept that the product is under manufacturer warranty. The person on the phone was clueless and not helpful at all. She advised me to call other company to have it fixed. I did call another company and I have the water tank replaced with a new one having to pay only the labour cost.

Revdex.com was correct , they are 5 stars. I wanted a humidifier installed in my furnace. No one wanted the job !! Too hard to do !!! Gary came looked at the job ,without hesitation he said no problem.. He also found the furnace needed to be fixed and brought up to code... He had this done at no cost.. and the furnace humidifier was put in with no problem and at the quoted price. The installers did the work to code, and cleaned up upon completion. I was informed of what was done and why. A great job, a great crew and a great co. This is the 2nd time I used Revdex.com and will only use Revdex.com co in the future. Canada furnace deserve the A rating..

Tony was very knowledgable and pleasant. Assessed the problem

Part as soon as the part was received by them.

Canada furnace. Needed a new hot water tank and a service for
My boiler. Amazingly profession and the least expensive companie I had called to do
The work. Out of 6 furnace and hot
Water tank companies this was the best. Gave me a quote and that's exactly what I
Paid . There was a small leak from one of the taps I noticed the next day and an employee was out within two hours to fix it. I was also informed that I can purchase maintanenece plans. Which I did at a very reasonable rate. Didn't even know I could
Do that. I now have a
A complete
Peace of mind in regards
To all my heat and hot water equipment and would 100% recommend this company for all your furnace water tank needs.

On December XX XXXX our old system was leaking carbon monoxide and *** had to turn off the gas supply. We called Canada Furnace after reading positive reviews, and after moving some non urgent appointments around we were back up and running on the 27th!

This year, under warranty a faulty regulator was replaced but we could still smell natural gas. Lorne, the service manager came out on a Saturday and we discovered that we had inadvertently blocked the exhaust vent, leading the exhaust to go straight into our fresh air intake. We removed the blockage and all is well. Lorne did not charge us for the call even though it was completely our fault.

You will not find a more responsive, customer oriented company than Canada Furnace. I highly recommend them.

Thank you Tony, a service technician from Canada Furnace Heating & Air Conditioning, for sorting out my furnace issue. He quickly sorted out my furnace issue by replacing key components that were in the process of failing and also helped me setup my thermostat so my furnace can function more efficiently. He was very helpful and courteous.

Just had a new American Standard high-efficiency furnace installed by Canada Furnace. From the initial quote visit by Steve to the pre-install check by Robin and the install by Kyle, Tyson and Robin I was absolutely impressed by the professionalism of the company. At each contact the person involved gave me the info I needed, called me back promptly, arrived within minutes of the appointed time, and worked with speed, care and knowledge to get me the furnace and accompanying ducts that I wanted. The quote was fair and even a bargain for the work done. Wow! Great work everyone.

Very happy with the start of ordering a furnace to the finished job of putting in our house.Very profesional Steve and his associate Mark. Thank you!

Had Canada Furnace install my new high efficiency furnace in 2014 and installation was done with precision and speed. Having annual service is easy to set up. Our technician Tony W arrived on time and made sure everything is working fine and checked for any leaks. Would recommend Canada furnace for your heating. Too bad they don't do duct cleaning but they do recommend another company for that.

Canada Furnace in Vancouver did a great job. On time, knowledgeable, courteous and good value for the money. They did my Bi-annual Furnace service

Hi Richard, Thank you so much for your great review. We really appreciate it and look forward to helping you in the future.

Kind regards,

Ryan

In the summer of 2015 I contacted Canada Furnace for a quote on a new furnace and heat pump so that I could get air conditioning into the house. While the estimator was doing an extremely thorough review of the how and where of installing, I mentioned the reason that I was in a hurry to get AC was that I had an ill animal. On the spot he made some calls and got a crew to agree to overtime and had my new equipment installed within 3 days - in a heat wave. Since that time I've had technicians from Canada Furnace do an annual check and clean of the equipment, which has been working perfectly, and in each case the tech was on time, efficient, tidy, engaged, and willing to answer questions. I recommend this company without reservation.

When I contacted Canada Furnace about a problem with the air intake for the newly installed furnace, Gary *** assessed the situation and committed to repairing it within a week. Less than a week later, he cheerfully made the necessary repairs. He was efficient, friendly and committed to providing first class service.

No hidden fee's, on time and knowledgeable. I read reviews and think they're hogwash...I'm a real person who needed a/c and is a bit cynical regarding some trade outfits, but bam! They came, they bent pipe, they conquered. The installer is the true face of the company- hey Canada furnace give that installer a raise! Great job.
