We have already resolved this issue with the attorney general and customerThe customer was told she will be getting a refundWe are just waiting for her to turn in the vehicle

All of this is incorrect I have never raised my voice to this customer and honestly have no clue what she is speaking about I clearly explained that she will need proof of insurance to exchange out any vehicle She explained that she didnt believe she needed to provide insurance Its actually the law We have no problem exchanging out her vehicle, solely we need to know that our security interest in the vehicle will be covered in case of an accident She already had a drunk driving situation in our loaner car Once she provides our company with full coverage insurance then we will help her Please keep in mind we are going above and beyond to help this customer She purchased a vehicle AS-IS, and we still decided to assist the customer in getting something different she only needed insurance The title is already in the customers name The decision is completely hers The payments are still contractually due Thanks

If I am correct the issue has been resolved

I did not receive a default noticeHe said he didn't send it because I hadn't responded to his text messagesHe got my car out of the impound on May 2, He texted me on May 13, and said by May 17, 2016, I was to pay him $for new key, $for an impound fee, $to remove water from vehicle, $for repo, and $per day storage per day since If it wasn't paid by then, he would sell the car

I am rejecting this response because:These people are liars, and regardless what happened to the car, it was an illegal and fraudulent saleThe owner is the one who changed my son's birth date, as he new he was only The first time I called and spoke to MrBoyd, he stated, "well I told him to bring his parents up here"! So, again, he knowingly and willingly forged the bill of sale If the deal wasn't fraudulent, why would you be willing to give the money back?! I am responsible for my minor child, and did not consent to this transactionThey came to pick these underage kids up and took them to make the fraudulent dealThey were so money hungry and they need to refund the money, come and pick up the raggedy car that I'm sure they only paid a few dollars for! They didn't even have the money available, saying we need a few more days to come up with the moneyThey never asked the condition of the car until I was asking when I could pick up the money!

We clearly explained to the customer that we have no problem refunding the money. We just need the vehicle back in the same condition that it was sold in. She agreed to this then days later she called back frustrated. This is when she informed us that the vehicle was destroyed but she... still wanted a refund. I asked her if she contacted the police to record the accident and she said no. We had already agreed to refund her money then somehow magically the car is destroyed while we are waiting to meet with her. We have no control over what she allowed to happen to the vehicle while it was in her possession.

My neighbor and I went in on a 'Pontiac Bonneville black car, about 140,miles at the end of September, first of OctoberThey got it from an auction in PAI put $down in cashBrought the car homeThe car wouldn't startIt took weeks for them to give me a loaner to driveThey had mechanics look at itThey put me in a loaner for a weekThey want a car paymentWe went to the dealership and asked for our money backHe said "for the money I put in the car, I'm keeping your money"They threatened me, pulling open the car door and threatening to beat meThey have the original car and the loanerThe first payment is due I don't want to make a payment on a car I don't have and can't drive

We bent over backwards to help this customer He communicated with our office that he had a problem with the vehicle he purchased so we gave him a loaner vehicle I came to oue attention that the first car broke down because he did not put any gas in the vehicle We towed the car to the gas station and put gas in the vehicle and drove it back to our car lot While this customer was out with the loaner car he said that too broke down on him Once again he did not put any gas in the vehicle We placed gas in the loaner vehicle and drove it back to our car lot While the customer had the loaner vehicle we tuned up the Chevy Blazer with new spark plugs I explained to the customer that he needs to be patient and let the mechanic figure out exactly what the problem was with the car He was in a rush and goes back to the car lot and picks up his first vehicle he intially paid for This was the blazer Once again the customer calls us back and says that the car has broke down I informed him that he would be responsible to get the car back to the lot He said that he couldnt pay for the tow Our mechanic goes out to the location and puts gas in the vehilce and it starts right up Basically this customer did not put enough gas in any of the vehicles Whn I informed him of the issue why the vehicle were broke down, his exact words were "I am not perfect, no one is I made a mistake and did not put enough gas in the car." He explained how he shouldnt be responsible for the fees associated with moving his vehicle back and forth because of his neglegence He explaied that he did not have any more money to put gas in the car We have done everything possible to resolve this issue We can not control uswer error from customers Once he resolves the fees owed he can pick up his vehicle Also, the customer droped a vehicle off with no title, so technically he did not trade anything inWe are still waiting for the title Until the title arrives it is not considered a trade in I am willing to even refund his money, minus the doc fee and taxes This customer is not being honest We put him in a loaner car He asked to buy the loaner car, we said okay to that, then he changed his mind At the end of the day, owning a motor vehicle takes some resources, for gas, small repairs, and insurance This customer has clearly demonstrated that he doesnt have the resources to maintain a car different time he ran out of gas different time we had to go and tow the cars back to the business because of his mistakes I am well aware of all of the ohio laws and his title will be recorded within days What is owed is owed by the customer as a business we did not do anything wrong

The resolution the dealership came up with is not one that I agree withThe dealership committed fraud and is not willing to give me a full refundDespite the paperwork I was tricked into saying I paid less than what I acually didI want the full refund other wise I willBe taking them to court

Please contact me back after reviewing all of the information As you can see, we were left with no choice but pick up the vehicle or lose it to the City of Columbus All of this was communicated to the customer The customer litterally didnt care

Revdex.com: In response to the company's response, me stating facts does not constitute defamationNowhere on the Craigslist ad did it say that the "o/d off" light was blinking, which indicates transmission issuesThey clearly did not want to disclose that piece of information in the adAs of today the company has refunded the purchase price of the carIssue resolvedThanks

We have already resolved this issue with the attorney general and customer. The customer was told she will be getting a refund. We are just waiting for her to turn in the vehicle.

The problem hasnt been resolved.  I didn't read the final result correctly. Capital City Cars accused me of not putting gas in their vehicles after I had to find out none of their gas gauges work on their vehicles that were mentioned in the complaint. He told me he would give me a refund minus the document and taxes. I gave him $500 cashe. He charged me 250 plus 185 and $35.00 for 30 day tags thats the whole $500 down payment for the car that he charged me $3200 for the original price was $1700.00 & his finance fee so if you do the math this man was just clearly trying to make a quick buck. I ahve also reported this to Mike Dewine at teh Attorney generals office under Consumer Complaints. Can you please reopen my case cause Im not satisfied  In fact I am really upset and dissappointed cause I drive it 2 times and it broke down on me not because it had no gas Something else is wrong with it cause gas was not getting to the system that makes it start  we watched the mechanic me and my step-Mom He took the (illegible word) and gas came out.I want a full refundFrom Capital City Cars calling me incompetant

None of us are aware of any of this information.  The only paperwork we have is the paperwork that she signed.  She is blatantly lying and this is why the Attorney General requested that she turned the vehicle in.  This customer agreed to trade her vehicle in then refused once she realized the our new sales rep wrote the paperwork up incorrectly.    Please see attached paperwork.

If I am correct the issue has been resolved.

We bent over backwards to help this customer.  He communicated with our office that he had a problem with the vehicle he purchased so we gave him a loaner vehicle.  I came to oue attention that the first car broke down because he did not put any gas in the vehicle.  We towed the car...

to the gas station and put gas in the vehicle and drove it back to our car lot.  While this customer was out with the loaner car he said that too broke down on him.  Once again he did not put any gas in the vehicle.  We placed gas in the loaner vehicle and drove it back to our car lot.  While the customer had the loaner vehicle we tuned up the Chevy Blazer with new spark plugs.  I explained to the customer that he needs to be patient and let the mechanic figure out exactly what the problem was with the car.  He was in a rush and goes back to the car lot and picks up his first vehicle he intially paid for.  This was the blazer.  Once again the customer calls us back and says that the car has broke down.  I informed him that he would be responsible to get the car back to the lot.  He said that he couldnt pay for the tow.  Our mechanic goes out to the location and puts gas in the vehilce and it starts right up.  Basically this customer did not put enough gas in any of the vehicles.  Whn I informed him of the issue why the vehicle were broke down, his exact words were "I am not perfect, no one is.  I made a mistake and did not put enough gas in the car."  He explained how he shouldnt be responsible for the fees associated with moving his vehicle back and forth because of his neglegence.  He explaied that he did not have any more money to put gas in the car.  We have done everything possible to resolve this issue.  We can not control uswer error from customers.  Once he resolves the fees owed he can pick up his vehicle.  Also, the customer droped a vehicle off with no title, so technically he did not trade anything in. We are still waiting for the title.  Until the title arrives it is not considered a trade in.  I am willing to even refund his money, minus the doc fee and taxes.  This customer is not being honest.  We put him in a loaner car.  He asked to buy the loaner car, we said okay to that, then he changed his mind.  At the end of the day, owning a motor vehicle takes some resources, for gas, small repairs, and insurance.  This customer has clearly demonstrated that he doesnt have the resources to maintain a car.  3 different time he ran out of gas.  3 different time we had to go and tow the cars back to the business because of his mistakes.  I am well aware of all of the ohio laws and his title will be recorded within 7 days.  What is owed is owed by the customer as a business we did not do anything wrong.

All of this is incorrect.  I have never raised my voice to this customer and honestly have no clue what she is speaking about.  I clearly explained that she will need proof of insurance to exchange out any vehicle.  She explained that she didnt believe she needed to provide insurance.  Its actually the law.  We have no problem exchanging out her vehicle, solely we need to know that our security interest in the vehicle will be covered in case of an accident.  She already had a drunk driving situation in our loaner car.  Once she provides our company with full coverage insurance then we will help her.  Please keep in mind we are going above and beyond to help this customer.  She purchased a vehicle AS-IS, and we still decided to assist the customer in getting something different she only needed insurance.  The title is already in the customers name.  The decision is completely hers.  The payments are still contractually due.  Thanks

On August 1st Mr [redacted] contacted Capital City Car Brokers from an ad on Craigslist for a 2002 Ford Explorer with over 130000 miles. Prior to Mr [redacted]'s...

purchase the only issue that was noticed with this truck was a consistent flashing light that read "door open" and a sale representative named Kem with the company noticed the over drive light flash and had thought she accidentally pushed the button at the end of the gear shift, she pushed the button again and the light went off. On July 30th The truck had been driven from Pennsylvania for 3 hours on the road with no mechanical issues or malfunctions affecting the operation of the truck at all. ?The truck was placed on Craigslist for sale on July 31st.
On August 1st Mr [redacted] contacted Capital City Car Brokers to buy the 2002 Ford Explorer in question. Mr [redacted] took the truck alone for a test drive with no time restraints. Upon his return 25 minutes later he said "I like it and want the truck". Mr [redacted] came back later and purchased the truck. Upon saying our good bye's the sales Rep. Kem stated to Mr. [redacted] that this is a great truck, runs great just the flashing door light which he stated Fords had that problem with their dashboard because he had one before and the over drive light flashed earlier but went off, it had been pushed back off. I was letting him know so he could watch pushing the button at the end of the gear shift. Mr. Thomas left with a fully functional truck.
He then called Kem and said he looked online that the Over Drive light coming on was the transmission being bad and began to be flustered. They communicated back and forth via text Kem told him that the company would not stiff him but for Mr [redacted] to go see someone if he had a concern and let us know. He contacted me on the August 1st with a transmission worker from Amco on a speaker phone stating the Transmission needed a full replacement. I simply asked him if ,"a full replacement even though there are no mechanical malfunctions or sign of a bad transmission?". His only response is he smelled burnt transmission fluid coming from engine area which was from a truck with over a 130000 miles and the fluid had never been changed. I also asked the mechanic was he aware of the 2 transmissions that Ford had installed in the Ford Explorers from 1999-2003 that had bad internal transmission control sensors, and had been known to give off the same symptoms as a failing transmission, only that this truck was giving off No warning symptoms at all. None!!! He became rude because I questioned his validity and Mr [redacted] became scared and wanted out the truck all together.
Kem contacted myself, Mike B[redacted],  the owner of the company and 2 hours later she set up a meeting with myself and Mr [redacted]. He wanted his money back in full. I told him that other buyers were told that the truck had been sold and that I could not do a refund on an already purchased car. So what I agreed to do and told Mr [redacted] in front of Kem that I would give him a 60 day warranty after he had already signed documents stating there is "no  warranty" and to go further offered to replace the truck with another truck equivalent if the transmission of the Ford did go out in 60 days. I told Mr. [redacted] to give me a day to write up a agreement and that I will sign whatever to make him comfortable.
On August 2nd, because we would not refund the full purchase of the Truck Mr [redacted] contacted the Revdex.com, Lawyers, and put negative statements on our facebook. We have gone above and beyond to do what is fair and as of present time the truck is still functioning properly. Mr [redacted] let a transmission shop scare him into full panic of the extreme. That mechanic had $1900 reasons to take advantage of Mr [redacted]. We even suggested that he take it to a dealer. However I informed Mr. [redacted] if it were a sensor in the transmission , the bill would be on him and much less. Mr. [redacted] is pursuing defamation of character toward our business. He brought us a invoice that was blank with no breakdown, codes pulled, or work that needed to be done. Just a empty sheet with his address at the top, 3 sentences at the very bottom, and $1900+ for a balance. Yes we are a dealership and we do sell good quality vehicles. After dealing cars for a while we kind of know what a bad transmission may start to feel like. We legally are under no obligation to offer any further services  to Mr. [redacted] but yet we did. My question is if a company is trying to get over are they this proactive in trying to fix the customer from being so uncomfortable because as of right now and since we have owned the truck, it has worked fine.  Mr [redacted] was made aware that this is a used truck and may need repairs, sensors changed or anything else that a used vehicle may require.
