Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
1. No offer of restitution was given.2. Even the Revdex.com provides 7 days to respond to inquiries; the statement "took him 4 days to a simple response" is invalid. I provided a portion of the charges I incurred. 3. After providing the documentation, I spoke with the General Manager who ASSURED ME THEY WOULD HELP FIND A REPLACEMENT ENGINE....NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. I contacted the "franchise dealer" who found me a replacement engine in a matter of hours.THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS AND NOTHING MORE!!!!!!! They're business practices are pathetic at best. They lie, and tell you whatever you need to hear to get you off their back. They reset the OBDII so the check engine light goes off...until after you drive the car off their lot. I test drove 3 cars and all had issues (smoking, check engine lights, etc.).Sorry, I will not accept the response provided by Car Line.

o Whom It May Concern, On July 3rd, 2016 Car Line Auto sold one 2006 [redacted] VIN# [redacted] to [redacted] and [redacted] of [redacted]
[redacted]. The purchase price for this vehicle was in fact $6,895.00....

The additional $550. 70 that was collected was the cost of tags, tax, and registration for the State of Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles. The claim of purchasing the vehicle for $8,000.00 is inaccurate. Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] were both allowed to take the vehicle on a test drive prior to purchase and they were also offered to purchase an extended warranty for the vehicle because the vehicle was being sold AS-IS but they choose to take the vehicle without it and signed a 'Waiver of Service Contract" (Copies have been attached). There was a Buyer's Guide properly displayed on the vehicle (Copies have been attached). They both knowingly and willingly signed three separate AS-IS forms in addition they also signed a vehicle checklist were Car Line Auto stated both verbally and in writing that nothing was owed to them in this purchase (Copies have been attached). They took delivery of the vehicle the same day as purchased and did not complain of any issues. On July 9 h, 2016 [redacted] and [redacted] took their vehicle through Maryland State Inspection, an independent and out of state inspection and the vehicle passed without issue (Copy of Inspection Report Attached). Over the next few weeks Vincent contacted Car Line Auto complaining of a noise coming from the left front wheel bearing and right rear bearing hub. Car Line Auto explained to [redacted] that the vehicle was in fact purchased AS-IS and the extended warranty was declined but would still be willing to make an exception and repair his vehicle at Car Line's expense. That work was completed on August 5th, 2016. Again a few weeks passed and yet again Vincent began calling Car Line Auto complaining about the same noise coming from the wheel bearing and the car stalling on him. [redacted] and [redacted] called the store cursing and screaming. Car Line Auto again explained to [redacted] that the vehicle was in fact purchased AS-IS and the extended warranty was declined but would still be willing to make an exception and repair their vehicle at Car Line's expense. The vehicle was left at Car Line with no fuel in it. That work was completed on August 24th, 2016 and Car Line purchased $10.00 in gas for the vehicle (Receipts attached). A couple of weeks later on September 13, 2016 [redacted] and [redacted] called stating that they had yet another problem with the vehicle. Yet again Car Line Auto explained to [redacted] that the vehicle was in fact purchased AS-IS and the extended warranty was declined at the time of purchase. Car Line explained to both [redacted] and [redacted] that Car Line would not be responsible for the repairs and could not extend the courtesy a third time. Car Line Auto explained that we would be able to have one of the many mechanic shops that we deal with take a look at their vehicle and negotiate the cost of any repairs. It was then that both Vincent Rome I Irving Jr and [redacted] began verbally threating the lives of Car Line Auto Employees. Car Line Auto then contacted the appropriate members of Law Enforcement and notified them of such threats and filed reports. This is the reason Car Line Auto is no longer willing to work with such dangerous individuals as we had many times prior. [redacted]s Mother has even gone as far as filing a complaint on behalf of her son with the MVDB and post disgusting reviews on Car Lines Google Account. Car Line Auto truly believes it has done everything possible to accommodate these individuals. Regards, Management

Review: We purchased a vehicle from Car Line on May 26, 2016 that included a 90 day warranty. On the morning of June 29, the vehicle became sluggish and upon switching from drive to reverse and back to drive the transmission jerked the vehicle into gear. We contacted the warranty company the same day and found that the warranty had not been submitted and was told to contact the dealer to have them submit the documents via fax and they would handle the claim. James at Car LIne claimed that I had not purchased a warranty therefore I did not have one. I told him I have the copy of the warranty, he asked me to bring it to the dealership. I went to the dealership on July 5 and spoke with Frank, the salesman that sold us the car, who assured me that he would take care of sending off the warranty paperwork and explained that he gave us a warranty with the sale of the car to James. Frank assured me that he would call me today, July 7 with confirmation. I contacted the warranty company and they still do not have the information.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the full warranty coverage to take care of the repairs for my vehicle satisfactorily and be reimbursed the funds I spent on rentals because of their unreasonable delays in delivering the warranty. Otherwise, return the car for a full refund.

Business

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated the warranty was given to the customer complimentary at the company's expense. He stated the warranty was sent in on 5/30/16, and that the customer has a copy of that as well.

Consumer

Response:

The customer spoke with Revdex.com and confirmed the actions taken by the business and stated the issue was resolved.

Review: I bought a car this dealership at the end of February. The owner/salesman lied about numerous of things. He bragged about how he used this car as his personal car and that he loved it so much. He also bragged about spending $800 to get fix up the car to get through VA inspection but he refused to show me any paperwork. I decided to buy the car. He sold it to me $200 over the book value. When I was signing the papers he informed me that my title would be sent in the mail within a week and I was given 30 temporary tags. When I was driving back home (Maryland) My check engine light came on. 3 days later I took the car back to them because of this. (Car was still under warranty). They claimed a Oxygen sensor needed to be replaced and they had replaced it but again refused to give me a receipt to the newly purchased sensor or work done. The next day the check engine light returns and problems with the dashboard lights. I got it checked out and they informed me that a sensor needed to be replaced, I needed alignment, I have a hole in my exhaust pipe which prohibits me from passing MD inspection, and I have a hilerin my windshield washer fluid bottle. My tags expire in 4 Days and I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY TITLE FROM THEM. I call them and they informme that they have there. Then the owner(person who sold me the car) gets on the phobe and tells me he shipped it out the day before and then hangs up the phone in my face. My uncle then calls back and they tell him it was shipped out yesterday and gave him a tracking number through the postal service. I try to track the number and it doesnt exist. So today is Wednesday and my tags expire this Sunday and I am unable to get my Md tags because they have not given me my title.Desired Settlement: I want them to pay for repairs to the car and my MD tags

Business

Response:
