Car Source LLC Reviews (38)

We were very fortunate to have Car Source contact us. They reimbursed us for the costs we had to pay for our car repairs. They also called us at a later date to thank us for...

making us aware that the mechanic did a poor job at inspecting our car, they received a complaint from another buyer with similar problems and they no longer use that mechanic. They realized he was happy to take their money for the "inspection" and he really wasn't doing any inspecting.
Thanks for your help!

vehicle had some internal problems. Customer took the vehicle for a test drive and took it to their trusted mechanic. Customer bought the car on 12/19/2015  and problem occurred on 12/22/2015 but filed complaint on 01/15/2016. Why did the customer waited for weeks to file a complaint? Customer had never called us neither informed us that they are having problems with the car. One day, customer walked in and asked for a copy of the Wisconsin Buyers Guide because their insurance company asked for it. Customer needs to realize that playing games will never solve anyone’s problems. Prior to the sale and at the time of sale everything that was mechanically wrong with the vehicle was clearly stated on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide, which customer signed and received a copy. We did everything possible to inform our customer the current condition of the car. All of our sales are final, “As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.”

Car source made zero admits to solve my issues. The response given has very little truth to it and is pourly wrote. Their was never any work done to my car or its radio by anyone except their mechanics. They never reported that the doors fail to lock and when contacting the business there was no effort in solving my problem. If they do not note in the Wisconsin buyers log any issues that would be found in a routine check up before selling it is illegal. I believe the locks would be part of they routine check and they are responsible for fixing them. I found it extremely disrespectful and very unprofessional of Car source to make up stories about myself and wish Revdex.com to rate them with an F.

Don't ever buy, No difference than buying from Craigslist private party. Don't trust this dealer.
Recently, I bought Honda Civic which Odometer was showing as 81,000. Later 2 weeks after I had pay 2000$ for repairs. After my car broke down, I pulled carfax and found that Odometer got tampered. Original mileage was more than 300K.
When I buy the car, dealer showed me CarFax which completed altered. Don't rely on the car-fax shown by dealer.

I have been to a lot of used car dealerships searching for a good car but this dealership was different. They told me everything I needed to know prior to me asking for the information on certain cars. I did end up buying a car from them and love it. They did not force me to buy a car from them. I was told by my co-workers that this is a good dealership. Will buy another car for my nephew. Definitely recommend.

This case has been resolved with the customer. We refunded her money because our customer was not fully satisfied with the purchase. arial, sans-serif;">Thanks,

I  asked him if possible could we trade in Altima for a cheaper car that ran and would pass emissions. His response was if something went wrong in 6 months we would be reporting Car Source LLC. He said they would look at car and would fix if we paid for labor and parts. I  explained that the Nissan Altima had problems the second day of owning it. He then said he would rather not deal with us anymore and hung up.

had some electrical problems. However, we had notified on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide that climate box control is inoperative. The vehicle was “As-Is As Shown No Warranty.” Few weeks later, [redacted] called at the dealership and asked us for a favor that if we can fix the climate control box for [redacted]. However, the [redacted] wanted us to track down the problem and may be fixing it. We bought 3-4 climate control boxes, which cost us approximately $400.00, plus some other parts that were needed. We did not charge any of that to the customer. Moreover, my technician spent over 30 hours on the vehicle to see if we can track down the electrical problem. If you do the math, four hundred dollars plus 30 hours of certified technicians labor charges equals to approximate $1500.00. The customer was not charged for any of that. If there are more issues to the vehicle we cannot be held responsible. We had stated in the buyers guide that this vehicle had some power accessory problem. We did not have to invest in the parts neither pay for the labor which we did. As a used car dealership we spent a lot of money trying to help the customer but unfortunately that was not enough. car was sold on 05/12/2015 at 1:55 pm. The car was fully inspected prior to the sale. It was inspected by our ASE certified technicians and as well as inspected by our customer [redacted] prior to the sale. The car was sold “As-Is As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.”                On 05/16/2015 [redacted] called at Car Source regarding that by mistake he put engine oil in the coolant reservoir. Our sales rep. [redacted] contacted our service department to see what can be done about this matter. [redacted] informed [redacted] not to drive the car and bring it to our service center as soon as possible. On 05/16//2015 approximately at afternoon, coolant flush was done on our customers car. We gave [redacted] a written receipt that since he is our valuable customer we flushed his coolant reservoir for free of cost.
Later, on 05/21/2015, [redacted] come with an estimate from one of the repair centers in town. There are some recommended services that are stated on the estimate. [redacted] needs to understand that all of these issues came because [redacted] put oil in the coolant reservoir on 05/16/2015. Since [redacted] had put oil in the coolant reservoir the oil comes up because oil floats. [redacted] needs to understand that dealership cannot be held responsible for his actions like putting oil in the coolant reservoir. Due to this, it might have triggered other lights to come on. One-day customer puts engine oil in coolant reservoir and tries to blame the dealership for his actions. In couple months from today, [redacted] might end up putting diesel instead of regular gas in the car; however, dealership is not responsible for his actions. As a dealership, we offered [redacted] coolant flush free of cost but that does not mean that dealership is held responsible for [redacted] actions. The only thing that is wrong with the car as noted by the repair facility is due to [redacted] putting engine oil in the coolant reservoir. As a dealership, we did not sell him a car that needed as work.
However, [redacted] bought car “As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.” He purchased a power-train warranty from out sourced financed company meaning dealership did not sell him any sort of warranty. [redacted] bought this car, “As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.” We are not responsible for [redacted]’s actions regarding [redacted] putting engine oil in the coolant reservoir.

We went to to test drive a Volvo XC90. It had a great asking price and the biggest thing it was AWD which, after living for 40 years in WI I knew I wanted. My first indication there would be issues was that the main key attached to the automatic controls would not stay open. When we got in the car it started right up. The heat took a while to kick in and the driver side seat heater did not work. Okay, things I could deal with. So, we decided to take it out on the road. There was very little gas in it - the fuel light was even on. The sales person said we would be fine for a 3-4 mile test drive. So, on the road we went. We took it around the downtown area and decided we wanted to take it for a longer test drive - get it up to HWY speed. We took it back to the dealership. They did put a few more gallons in so we could take it a little farther. Once we got the car up to 40MPH there was a whooshing sound coming from below. We met MY mechanic to take a look at it. Just from visual inspection all the rotors needed to be resurfaced, hence the whoosing sound. He also said that the front tires were already at the tread warning and needed replacing ASAP. OH, and prior to him we found out that they did not even check the windshield wipers - they had no less than 3 TEARS on the front. I did not even inspect the back one. And here we were testing in the rain/sleet/snow. When my mechanic took it on the road he fond a bad wheel bearing and the worst part the AWD DID NOT WORK!!!!!
Okay, fine, we can work with all of this in the price - IF the AWD is operational. However, when we went back to the dealership I told the sales man what hte mechanic found and received a "I doubt all of that" look. Mind you, my mechanic has been working on my personal vehicles and owns his own repair business for no less than 20 years. I told him that it was more repair than we wanted to get into for the price of the vehicle (hint, hint, we would work on price). He took the keys when I handed them to him, he shurged his shoulders and said "okay, oh well." and walked away. Now, maybe it was because he was CLEARLY overworked - he had two desks with people at that he was assisting, another family who had just arrived to do a test drive and myself. However, there is NO EXCUSE for poor customer service like that. I don't think I could ever trust a vehicle from them - and there were a couple more we were willing to give a try. But, after that kind of customer service there was no way. I will take my business elsewhere and recommend to anyone who asks to do the same.

Which business does not have negative review? Anyways, these guys are truthful. They told me right away which car is reliable or affordable, or which car is high in Maintainence. They did not hide anything from me. During test drive they were very calm. Very dependable people. Will refer all my friends and family.

[redacted] took the vehicle for  a test drive. He came back approximately 30 minutes after showing it to his mechanic. When he came back to the dealership asked our sales representative regarding what says on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide. The Wisconsin Buyers Guide specifically stated that, “Heating and Cooling system, Drive Train, Engine, and Electrical Needs Service.” [redacted] said his mechanic found nothing wrong with the vehicle. However, we specifically told [redacted] that there is a reason we have certified technicians working for our company so that we can inform the customer what is the mechanical condition of a car. [redacted] told our sales representative that he will think about it and will have his other technicians look it over before making the purchase. On 08/03/2015, [redacted] called around afternoon that he will be taking the vehicle to his another trusted mechanic. Our sales representative gave him the permission to do so. Well, this time when [redacted] came back he said he took it two other mechanics to look over the whole car. Our sales rep. clearly stated that our Wisconsin Buyers Guide clearly states that this vehicle needs mechanical work. After a while, [redacted] said that he will think about it and will let us know if he wants to make a purchase or not.On 08/04/2015, [redacted] came back and asked if there is any warranty on this vehicle. Our sales representative informed [redacted] that there is no warranty on this vehicle. It is As Is-As Shown No Warranty sale. However, [redacted] made a purchase and was very comfortable with it.However, our inspections are clearly stated that vehicle has mechanical issues such as, “Heating and Cooling system, Drive Train, Engine, Electrical Needs Service.” However, [redacted] wanted to have transmission flush done on the vehicle. We sold the vehicle, As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever, however, we did not have to pay for the transmission flush but we did just as a compromise with our customer. We have proof for all the documents.Prior to the sale and at the time of sale everything that was mechanically wrong with the vehicle was clearly stated on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide. We did everything possible to inform our customer the current condition of the car. All of our sales are final, “As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.”

Like they say, dont spend your money at one place. Well, we did. We bought two cars from this place and my grandsons love them. Sales people were very knowledgeable and polite. Will be doing business with them again. Definitely recommend this place. Thanks again!

[redacted] is one of our sales representatives for Car Source. He sold 2003 Saab 9-3 to our valuable customer [redacted]. The car was sold on 04/21/2015 at...

7:50 pm. The car was fully inspected prior to the sale. It was inspected by our ASE certified technicians and as well as inspected by our customer [redacted] prior to the sale. The car was sold “As-Is As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.” Later, we did get a call from [redacted] that he tried installing his sound system and a subwoofer. However, for some reason [redacted] thinks he shorted out the power door locks. My sales rep. [redacted] offered [redacted] to bring the car in for our certified technicians to look at it and see what actually went wrong while installing his sound system in the car. [redacted] did bring his car to our dealership and we did have our technicians look at it. Our technicians did say that it seems more than just the blown fuses, however it is going to take a lot longer than couple of hours.
We did offered [redacted] that he would have to leave the car over and [redacted] will have to pay for it. It will be cheaper going through us compare if you were to go somewhere else. Later, [redacted] called us and tried to blame us for everything that this had happened to the car. We did tell [redacted] that buying a car from us does not mean that we will be held responsible for anything you tried to do to your car. Prior to sale and at the time of sale everything was in working condition. All of our sales are final, “As Is-As Shown No Warranty Whatsoever.”

I spoke with the sales man over the phone about a vehicle and had told him I was interested and would be coming 3 hrs away; including traffic to look at it and potentially take the vehicle off his hands. When I got there, they had already sold the vehicle about the time I left my town (a call would of been great as he knew I was on my way). The sales man there at the time then proceeded to tell me he thought that the person who just bought the car was me as the other guy did too. However, I gave the other guy my name to hold the car. The sales man at the time then said "it's too personal to ask for customers names". Which makes no sense because we exchanged names over the phone and essentially they will have all my information before I can even take the car off the lot. So for it to be "too personal" is not an excuse! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY CAR LOTS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AS POOR AS THIS!!!! WHAT ELSE COULD THEY BE LYING ABOUT??!!! They are not professional!!
Per txt I received from the sales man "if you can't talk straight up might as well don't talk" Thats professional!! A business is about communication with colleagues and customers. Due to lack of communication and unprofessional behavior they have lost me as a customer. I would of purchased another car there if they were honest.

Very good experience. Very knowledgeable about cars and easy to work with. Recommend them highly.
