*** *** brought his Ford Expedition with 236,miles on the odometer in to our Fairview Heights location on 05/20/for a brake issue and spin balance. He authorized the repairs to be done and paid. Car-X has not seen are heard from the customer until earlier this week on
2/15/2018. He had stated to the manager that we were the last repair shop that had serviced the truck and there was a stud broken. If Mr***’s vehicle would have had a broken stud when we worked on it, we would have sold him a stud and repaired it. I instantly called Mr*** once we were notified about the possible issue to inquire about the time line and events. There was no answer so I left a message. The vehicle hasn’t been in our shop in over 5,miles. It has been serviced twice by *** for front end and suspension work since that time. This information was all verified through ***. Car-X feels there is no basis for any further actions. If there are any other questions are concerns, please call. re

I called the customer to inform him that we would be interested in diagnosing the vehicle at "no charge" if he was still having an issue. Also the part we installed carries a month/ 12,miles so it would be replaced free of charge parts and labor. When I called, he informed me that
he no longer has the vehicle. Car-X feels there is no basis for a refund.

On 03/29/2017, *** *** brought their Chrysler Pacifica with 203,on the odometer in for service. The vehicle had multiple issues from brakes, front end parts, motor mounts, and the engine cradle. The manager prioritized the repairs with safety in mindThe ***s
requested to do the brakes and declined all other repairs. On 07/29/2017, the ***s return with more symptoms and issues. Again, we prioritized the repairs and documented the other issues. Including the Engine Cradle that was rusted and had a hole. Car- X feels there is no basis for a refund on the repairs. However, I would be willing to refund the customer the amount they spent on an extended warranty on the last invoice. I called and left the customer a message to inform them of the refund, and have not heard back.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2016/01/07) */
We do apologize for the inconvenience of returning to get your wheel lockThere was a manager transfer during this period which left the new manager in the dark on the subjectThe technician did not have to remove the spare in order to
replace the tiresJust to make sure, we called the dealership with the vin number and verified that, this particular vehicle did not come with a spare or jack kickTherefore Car X will not be held liable for any reimbursement

On 04/13/Mr*** brought his Pontiac Vibe in for an oil change and safety inspection I have reviewed the surveillance cameras and watched the oil change being performed The service was performed to manufactures specification I called to review my findings with Mr
*** and the number listed has been disconnected Car-X feels there is no basis for any future actions Please call with any questions or concerns *** *** ***

*** *** brought her Chrysler in with 201,miles on the odometer for a diagnostic inspection When the vehicle was checked in for the inspection, the A/C was the main concern However Mrs*** informed the manager that there were other electrical issue that were
present The manager received this information through questions to help determine the type of testing This was all documented and signed off on before any work was performed During the initial inspection, multiple electrical and mechanical issues were found Some very concerning items, such as front tires wore so bad that the cords were showing Multiple fluid leaks, and front end suspension items loose with movement All issues were presented to the customer, all repairs were declined All repairs needed are stored in the system We recommended prioritizing the repairs so we could help with the pricing due to proximity of the issues Car-X feels there is no further actions needed

The customer came into our location and fully reviewed our estimate and signed This signature not only authorizes the work to be done, but also the price When he came into pick up the vehicle, he stated that the price was not what he agreed on The manager showed him the signed
estimate, but the customer was still not convinced He then went to the vehicle with a second set of keys and removed it from the property without approval The local authorities were contacted They concluded it was theft of services We still have not received any funds for the repair Once the repairs are paid for they will all be under a month, and 12,mile warranty Car-X feels there is no basis for adjusting the price moving forward.

On 05/04/Mrs*** had her Chrysler Sebring towed in to our location at *** *** *** *** with a no start issue We performed a Starting and Charging test on the Sebring While performing the test Mrs***s car had a radiator hose that was leaking, rupture
At "No Charge" we repaired Mrs***s hose with extra clamps we had at the shop After repairing the hose and finishing the test we went over our recommendations with Mrs*** She declined to have any additional work done at that time The customer called back in still having problems with the hose she declined to have replaced The District manager contacted and informed Mrs*** that we would be more than happy to help repair the vehicle correctly at the best price available The customer declined bringing the vehicle back in Car-X feels there is no basis for any further actions

On 08/22/Mr*** brought his Toyota Camry with miles on the odometer in to our location at *** ** ***. He requested an oil change, to check the engine light, and check for the cost of a tune up. We went over the cost of the oil change and
tune up with Mr***. He approved the oil change and all but one of the services for the tune up. He returned on the 08/25/to have the remaining service performed. Days later on 9/30/the vehicle was towed in and would not start. After diagnosing the issue, it was found that the armature on the starter was stuck out and shorted the wiring causing it to burn. The customer authorized the starter and battery to be replaced at this time. When the customer brought the vehicle back in it had 242,miles on the odometer almost 4,miles after the original repair. The oil change was almost 2,miles past due and had very little oil in it. The two previous repairs were in completely separate systems and not related. The engine that has 242,miles on it and ran with almost no oil, clearly had an internal engine failure. Car-X feels there is no basis for a refund

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/06) */
*** called to price match a turbocharger replacement that the dealership had diagnosedShe had the vehicle towed in and requested the turbo be replaced*** did not want us to do any diagnostic on the vehicle since the dealer had done
so and charged her for itThe bearings in the turbo were making a horrible noise and had excessive playWe replaced the turbo and double checked all work done, all the work and parts that were installed at Car X have a month thousand mile warranty

I brought my car in specifically for a non starting issue on 9/17/15, rather than a noise and a non starting issueI did not take it in for a noise issueThey found an issue in the hose, and assured me that fixing that would fix the issueThe non-starting issue was not fixedThey claimed they fixed the window and charged me for itLast time I picked the car up from there, I was told there was never an issue with the windowWhy was I charged for that then? The original issue of the car not starting was never fixed

I would like to start out by apologizing for the inconvenience of not receiving a print out because we were having issues with the printer. Whoever, you do have a year warranty with your alignment so you could take the vehicle in to any one of our locations in StLouis and have it
checked and a print out to take if you have any concerns with the workmanship. If you take a look at your invoice you were only charged $for the alignment. The difference in the pricing from the previous service was the additional hour of labor that you agreed to adjust the strut mounts that you had installed to get the camber adjusted properly. That would be the line item for front end labor $118.50. The "shop supplies" charge is attached to all tickets it covers any penetrants, gasses, cleaners, or lubricants needed to repair the job effectively. I hope this helps clear up any confusion with the pricing because we do value all of our customers. Car-X feels there is no grounds for a refund

We have no records of *** *** having a vehicle serviced in any of our facilities this year After calling Ms***, she gave me a number for a friend that currently has the car I called the "friend" and he informed me that he is selling the Ford Taurus with miles on the
odometer He knows that there are multiple issues with the vehicle, and isn't interested in fixing them I informed him that all of our repairs are covered under a month/12,miles parts and labor warranty If he wanted to bring the vehicle back in we would gladly review the repairs and go from there Car-X feels there is no basis for any future actions

We have no records of a Ms*** *** at any of our locations When I received the information about the damage claim I reached out to the customer right away I called the number on file and left a message I did not receive a call back I waited two days and called
once more This time Mr*** answeredMr*** is the customer on file that we have been servicing his vehicle for over two years and 20,miles I asked him about the damage on the headlamp He told me that the scratch was present before the visit to the shop, there was nothing to worry about I told him, I was happy to hear that because I personally reviewed the security cameras and saw nothing that would have caused damage to the lens I asked him if he could relay that information to the Ms*** that made the claim He informed me that they were no longer together and he had no issues with Car-X Car-X feels there is no basis for a refund
