Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Thank you for helping me with this issue. I do appreciate it.   I did want to note on this that the original merchant account was signed upthrough [redacted].  They are no longer in business and card connect ([redacted]) just ended up with theaccount.  I do believe that [redacted] was shut down for unethical practices.   We did purchase our equipment out right so there was not a lease on anything and I think that is where the confusion came in, if we had chosen to have a lease that would have been 5 years, that was what was explained to us originally. We appreciate the waiving of the fees and accept the out come.
Regards,
[redacted]Secretary/Treasurer

Dear [redacted],
We're sorry to hear about the recent issues you've experienced.
In reviewing your account, we do see two extra fees of $37.50 each, which were incurred when you were converting to an integration connection. This caused two accounts...

to be opened temporarily while the integration was being complete. Our records indicate that you were advised of this at the end of July and told that the overage can be refunded. At that time you closed both accounts and switched processors.
The $200.00 withdraw was a refund that your business processed for one of your customers on 7/8/15. Our records indicate that you contacted us on Tuesday (9/8/15) and we responded yesterday 9/9/15 letting you know the $200 was a refund issued by them.
In summary, we can process a $70 refund for the two fees, as we indicated in July. Please let us know if you are ok with this solution.
Thanks,
CardConnect

Hi [redacted],
Sorry to hear about this issue. It looks like your account was never closed in 2012 - which accounts for the charges. As for the reprogramming of your terminal, this unfortunately wouldn't indicate to us that you had switched payment...

processors.
Seeing that your account was inactive for that time, we can issue you a refund for the requested amount.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi [redacted], We're very sorry to hear about this and want to make it right. We'll be issuing a full refund. If you have any questions, please contact Nick S[redacted] at ###-###-####. Thank you.

Hi [redacted], We're very sorry you experienced that issue when trying to close your account. In addition to our sincere apologies, we will be issuing your business a refund for the past eight months, which amounts to $279.20.Thank you for your business and we hope it will be a fruitful holiday...

season for [redacted]. CardConnect

Review: I had a salesman come to my home and tell me I was going to get a much better deal with their company then the one I was with. A credit card processing company. It was stated by [redacted] that my service fees would disappear. That there would be no charge for the Wireless machine. All credit charges would be .5%. I did not receive any copies of agreement until I notified [redacted], the processor, that I wanted to cancel because they were going to charge me $70.00 a month for leasing the machine. My current machine I only pay service fees no lease or rental. My paperwork was apparently filled in after he left. [redacted] won't let me out of the agreement even after all the lies this guy told me. I thought I could trust him. He didn't return my calls at first and I got in contact with someone in Georgia. He helped me with some of my questions. I finally received a call from **. [redacted] last Nov. 6, 2013. Fed me more lines of crap and didn't answer any questions. Told me he would get back to me Nov. 8th about the Lease Agreement he was looking into it. Yeah Right. this Salesman has an office number that connects to a CALL CENTER. 2 cell phones in someone else names. His Company is C O Card Connect - P.O. BOX 9 Mount Prospect, Illinois. I had no desire to switch to someone that was going to cost me more money.Desired Settlement: I want out of the Contract.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

If they cancel Contract and take their Machine back, I would be very happy. I had the salesman that started all this contact me on the 12th of Nov. and he stated he would take care of it by Friday the 15th of November. Never happened so, I have hope this will be the end of it. They are still taking money out of my Account.

Review: Feb/1/12. I signed the contract with [redacted] -Agent.I paid $200 for machine. On the contract,She wrote down very clearly "Merchant use own terminal ,No contract,No ETF" .I have an original contract,She has a copy of the contract from me.

Jan/4/14.I called her to cancel. After that,The company charged me $250(terminal fee for early termination).I called her ,her supervise and told them about that charge. She sent me an email"The company will refund $250 back for you".I waited for 2 months,no body answers and no refund has been sent.

Around Mar/14.I called customer service and told them about $250 refund. They said "I have a 2 year contract, they can't refund back for me.They sent the contract to my email.I really surprised .I looked and compared both contracts. Both contracts are completely different.I don't know who changed it and erased the original and put those numbers in

I am requesting a full refund of the $250 I was charged when clearly my original contract says there will be no charge.I fully plan to pursue tho matter legally if I do not receive a refund immediately.

I would appreciate a response to this letter.Desired Settlement: Refund $250 immediately.The big company can't cheating !!!!!

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: We had two merchant accounts with CardConnect when they were canceled, one was charged an early termination fee while the other was not even though neither was disclosed in the contract I signed and even provided a copy back to them when asked. Their is clearly no where in the contract that states there is an early termination fee in the contact. When I went back and fourth with the company they stated that they did not know why one company was charged and the other not charged. He also said he understood my frustration but could not do anything to help.Desired Settlement: I want the $750 that I was improperly charged as an early termination fee refunded.

Review: HELP! Story: had a massage business with a credit card machine. The sales individual, [redacted], worked with [redacted]. That company is now Card Connect. When I stopped my massage business, I had no use for the credit card machine. I contacted [redacted] and stated I was no longer using the machine. He said there was an early termination fee of $500, but I could circumvent the fee by closing my account (which I did). He confirmed that I would not be charged the fee. Last Wednesday I receive a call from Card Connect stating that I owe $750 because I closed out my account (a fee on top of the termination fee). The guy said he could decrease it to $200 and that [redacted] had no authority to authorize that waived fee. I have left [redacted] numerous voicemails and called him nearly 30 times since Wednesday pleading with him to contact me because of the situation he has placed me in. I receiving one vague e-mail saying he would get back to me. Nothing since. I left him a message today threatening him with a lawyer if he did not contact me. I contacted Card Connect and they said he is an independent contractor and does not work for their company so none of this is their fault or their responsibility to deal with. [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] at Card Connect were extremely rude and stated they are not obligated to uphold the agreement that [redacted] made with me because "it is not in writing." They stated I should pay the $200, and then get reimbursed from [redacted], my sales representative. I told them he has not gotten back to me and that would take time. Card Connect stated if I did not pay them $200 by May 31st they would send the full amount of $750 to collections. I asked if while I figured this out with [redacted], if they could move the date back that I owed the money by and all they did was threaten to throw out the $200 settlement and send the full amount to collections now. [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] did not want to work with me. They have "washed their hands" of this responsibility and it has left me, the customer is a terrible situation. I am extremely unhappy. Card Connect's lackluster customer service and ability to communicate with the people who sell the product is disgusting. It is nothing more than sleazy business, "give me the money and forget about actual customer service." Abhorring.Desired Settlement: First, I would like an apology from [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] for being incredibly inconsiderate and not willing to work with this situation and not standing behind their sales person. Secondly, by the time this is filed, I may have already had to pay the $200 fee in attempt to dodge the actual collections department. If I have already paid by the time this complaint is being dealt with, I want a full refund. [redacted] could take $550 off, but states he has no authority to waive the fee (right!). I want a refund.

Response:

Prior to receiving this complaint from the Revdex.com, we had followed up with the customer and resolved the issue to everyone's satisfaction. We talked to the customer today to ensure that the situation was fully rectified. She said it was and would be contacting the Revdex.com to remove her complaint. Of course, we are sorry for the negative experience the customer had and apologized for the miscommunication with her sales representative.

Review: CardConnect has been debting my bank account for 10 months by fraudulently claiming I had signed up as a customer. I started getting mail and statements from CardConnect, a company I had never heard off or had any contact with. Initially, I ignored their mail assuming it was junk mail. After 2 or 3 months I called CardConnect to inquire why I was getting statements from them given they were not my credit processor. I was told that someone representing me had signed me up. They gave me this persons name ( it was the sale man/intermediary that I had used to sign up with the credit card processor that the business was using when I purchased the business). I called and texted this individual but he did not respond. Not realizing Cardconnect was debiting my bank account for a monthly fee ranging from $55 to $161 a month, I ignored their statements. When I discovered Cardconnect had been debiting my checking account for 10 months, I was furious and called their customer service number. The agent told me I can cancel their service but no refunds were due to me. My call was passed to a manager who told me the same thing. I have since called my bank to report fraud and seeking a refund $848.05 taken from my account. These people are worse the fraudster that run scams from overseas. All this time my credit card processing has been done by [redacted] At no time has CardConnect preformed any card card processing for my business.Desired Settlement: An apology and a full refund

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: When I asked [redacted] at [redacted]:

How do your rates compare to these that I was being offered by another provider?

Monthly: $14.95

Qual Rate: 1.54%

Authorization Fee: $.20

Effective Rate: Typically about 3%

No Annual Fee, No Setup Fee, No Fee For PCI Compliance, No Application Fee."

Vice President [redacted] responded, "Your rates with us will be much cheaper."

He did not quote any numbers and actually refused to.

When I got my paperwork their qualified rate is 2.32%

They do charge an annual fee, a setup fee, a PCI Compliance fee, and an application fee. Their monthly rate is $20-25.

And the effective rate is over 4%!

Aside from these, they have the highest early termination fee I've ever seen at $750 and the longest contract period at five years.

When there was objectionable content in their contract, I was instructed by Card Connect (then [redacted]) staff to "cross it out" but now, more than two years later they point out a clause in their contract that says crossing out parts of the contract does not void them.

[redacted] claims they are "probably the most transparent company in the industry" but refused to ever quote numbers to me. When other companies offered us lower rates he insisted that they were lying. Perhaps the industry has that much of a lack of transparency. But, to me, that is the opposite of transparency. One might call it dishonesty.Desired Settlement: At this point, I just want out without a $750 early termination fee and a warning to others.

Thanks

to me

[redacted],

Sorry for the confusion with this complaint.

See below for correspondence with our customer service team.

After [redacted] saw the complaint on 7/19, she routed to our service team. From there our service team investigated his issue; [redacted] did not respond to our team's email on 7/26. His desired outcome of getting out of his contract without an early termination fee was granted by CardConnect.

My apologies that CardConnect did not properly note this in the Revdex.com site and instead handled it outside of the Revdex.com site. [redacted] has since left the company, and all Revdex.com complaints are now being handled by me which will ensure prompt and appropriate handling of the complaints.

Let me know if you would like to discuss this complaint further, but on our side the complaint is resolved.

Thanks,

Review: When I closed my credit card machine acct with Card Connect, they automatically deducted $750 ETF from my bank acct without my approval. When I contacted my sales rep and his manager, they assured me verbally and via email that reimbursement will be paid out which never occured. At the time of service installation, I was informed by their sales rep that I will NOT be bound to a contract nor a cancellation fee. "No cancellation fee" is also noted on the application I signed.

I have called and emailed the sales manager numerous times but nothing.

I even called the corp office and I was informed that the sales manager has to initiate the process to proceed but Corp office never recieved one.

Sales manager name:

[redacted] Yaldoo

email address: [redacted]

mobile: ###-###-####

Please help me get this situation solved asap.

thank you!Desired Settlement: I would like a full reimbursement of $750.00

I have complete application that states "No cancellation Fee" plus nowhere in the application it states that I'm bound to a contract.

thank you,

Review: My business has been scammed by Cardconnect sales agent named [redacted], acting as a Vice President of Cardconnect. We were mislead from the very beginning. They stated that there was no contract or any termination fees. We were simply just trying it and if we didn't like it there was no risk. And now we do not like the service and we have tried to cancel and they are saying there is a $750 dollar fee and telling us that "sales man can say anything to get people signed up". On their business card, it is Cardconnect. There website is Cardconnect and [redacted] is Vice President of the company and the Vice President came in and said there is no fees no termination fee, no commitment, we are simply trying it and return the credit card terminal, if we don't like the service.

We did research and found out that they are just a sales agent in an independent sales office and [redacted] is not a Vice President of the company on the website.

When we called Corporate Cardconnect they could not help with anything because these agents are independent sales. but if they are selling Cardconnect service, they should know and the agents should be trained properly. Now we are stuck with $750 dollar cancellation fee and 48 month terminal lease, which we never signed for. We didn't know anything about this being 48 month lease and we do not have any contract. We called them and requested a contract from the terminal leasing company and it has been a week and we have not received any contract form from [redacted] Cardconnect agent. Otherwise, we have to pay $3000 dollars on a $300 dollar machine to break the lease.Desired Settlement: We want Cardconnect to help us cancel the credit card terminal for us and make sure they stop these agents from scamming other businesses, acting as a Cardconnect, Vice president (Owners). And make sure to disclose about the terms and fees on the application(contract)........
