Cardinal Financial Reviews (121)

In a nutshell, do NOT use this company to buy a home As a first time home-buyer, I was aware that this task would be daunting, but I never thought it would be the nightmare it turned in to First off, the loan rates and lender credits I was told I could receive were simply a fabrication, I was never to receive lender credits because they never showed on any document despite countless inquiries on my part Next, I was dealing with 6+ people who didn't know what the other was doing, I kept getting passed [redacted] from person to person Another extremely stressful part of this whole ordeal was the endless amount of paperwork I was required to submit, literally sending document after document after document! I would get a whole stack of information to them and then would be told everything was in, only to be told the next day I needed more! Another unacceptable occurence was that every week, I was given a new, higher amount to have for closing The final balance was $8500, this came after being told it would only take around $to close (FHA loan) What finally took the cake was when after many closing dates had been pushed back, my contract ran out with the sellers They were very skeptical about me even being approved for a loan now that we had reached the final days of contract so Cardinal financial supposedly sent a letter of approval to the realtor in hopes the sellers wouldn't begin accepting new offers The realtor sent me the document and the document didn't state I was approved, after I had been told several times I was AND contained information that was a month old! When I told CF I was through using them as my lender due to not being approved and the whole process taking way longer than it should have, myself and my realtor were told over the phone that no one "had time to talk to us" about it I finally wrote a formal email and sent it to the many people who had access to my information and told them all I was done and had found another lender MIRACULOUSLY all the "missing" documents were found and I was contacted via email the next day by phone and email that my loan was clear to close Negative ghostrider, too little too late After my attorneys and new lenders examined my file and everything, it was also discovered I was being charged over $in hidden lending fees Absolute garbage So glad I didn't give them any of my money!! Had to jump through hoops in order to not lose my house

Refinancing my mortgage thru a streamline loan took over days with this lender due to negligence, poor communication, and mistakes/errors on their part Terrible communicators and will leave you in the dark during the process The loan originator seemed to geuninly care for about 3-days, then after that, it was all down hill with minimum communication and wasn't very helpful with answering my questions or putting me in contact with someone who could help (just ignored me rather than respond with anything on mulitple occasions) The underwriting team was back-logged 7-days I was told originally but it was actually closer to weeks After getting thru underwriting, the final loan processor was very helpful, but once again, the LO dropped the ball and made a mistake with my interest rate, causing further delay, which turned out to be more weeks since my final loan processor left the company, and my file essentially sat there Terrible experience & never again!!!

Cardinal was very professional and I did not feel at any point that I was a number [redacted] helped resolve my concerns and was able to assist me in getting a better rate and keep my closing costs down

I have no idea how this business has an A+ ratingI was treated poorly and outright ignored by my loan originator and my loan servicerMy closing almost pushed past the close of business on the day it was scheduled, and in the state of PA that would have busted the dealThe loan servicer had my paperwork a two weeks ahead of closing but only decided that additonal paperwork was needed the day before closingI would not deal with Cardinal if they were giving money away

I have refinanced with Cardinal twice in last yearI would recommend this company for refinancing your house

I went to this company because of a online advertised rateI have 800+ credit scores across all bureaus and currently earn $110-$125,now and annually for the past yearsI applied for a conventional loan year fixed and was issued a valid pre-approval letter after all my documents were revieweddays prior to closing escrow the loan processor was switched to another processor which stated they would be packaging my loan to be sold to fannie mae or freddie macWTH?? I applied for a conventional loan not FHA this changed everything rates, fee's and not to mention the lost of days down the drain!!! They're not honest people and will bait and switch and try to use the desperation they created to get you to sign and close on a loan that will net them the most money from doing a home loan for youAvoid Tamara E [redacted] loan officer-Heather W [redacted] loan processor-Olga Purser loan processorSebonic Financial and Cardinal FinancialYou have been warned!!! [redacted]

Cardinal Financial worked out to be a great choice for my refinancing need for my propertyI am very happy the rate, timeline, helpfulness, courtesy and knowledge of the teamI will definitely consider them for my future needs and will certainly recommend them to my friends and family

I had a great experience with Cardinal! Both my Loan Originator and my Loan Processor were very helpful during this process and always responded to me in a timely mannerThey were great about following up if they needed any information from me and I was able to close right on time

Very good experience through out the process

I worked with [redacted] and he was fantastic! I loved that he got back to me so quickly with questions, even late at night! I recommend my Mom to him as well and she loved him too! Vey good experience with this company

Refinancing with Cardinal Financial was a hassle-free pleasureExcellent process, great timing, superb responsiveness, and timely communication throughout the entire process, not to mention, the lowest rate available

I had a horrible insulting experience with the companyFirst, the agent wasn't honest about how much all refinancing would cost meWhen I paid for appraisal almost $500, I got ful disclosure, which was twice from what the initial sum promisedI lost interest and wasn't intusiastic any moreI felt like they lied to me So I slowed down I responded that I don't feel comfortable to deal with them But the story didn't endA manager called me and lectured me, suggestion how damn I was, "because interest rate goes up", "because not dealing with them I am losing my money"I told him I'm willing to lose but not feel forced to do what I'm not comfortable to doHe was very rough but wished me a happy holidays in mocking mannersI didn't plan to review the company; however, after "manager call", I'm going to do it everywhereBad costumer service, pushing, and abusing

To whom it may concern: I used your company to buy my first home Let me tell you about my experience I started this process on March 11, My Loan Originator was [redacted] , he told us that you are approved for $189,000, go find your home and we will get this taken care of So, we did, we found a home for $155, Called [redacted] and told him, he said no problems, and got things started So, far the process was going smoothly Well that changed very fast [redacted] had promised that we would close this loan on April 29, with no worries [redacted] at first was very easy to get ahold of and easy to talk to That also changed very fast as well [redacted] explained the process that he would always be there for me and any questions to call him That I would also be speaking to another person he worked with the Loan Processor Well when she, [redacted] , came in to the picture thing went downhill fast We have had to send the same paperwork to everyone several times The whole process was the most frustrating process I have ever dealt with The lack of communication was terrible The follow up with even worse, it seemed that the only time I would get any type of response back was when I sent very strong worded emails to both [redacted] and *** Every time though [redacted] was very strong that we were going to close on April 29, he always promised that He even said he was going to his boss about [redacted] and her lack of care of getting this loan done and taken care of So over the course of several weeks and tons and tons of emails, and lots of paper work sent numerous times the week of the closing arrives Also having a customer service rep, ***, who I don't think should be doing this anymore, telling me I am lucky that we even got things going due to my credit I know I don't have perfect credit but that is not what you tell someone We are still sending paper work, being asked for things we had already sent, not being kept in the loop Having to fight to even find out anything going on with my loan, and the status It is the morning of April 28, and we are still sending paperwork to them, because the underwriter needs it I understand there are things you need to know but I highly doubt that they need to know where my money comes from, I also don't think that it is truly any of your business as long as I pay my bills At 4:51pm we get cleared to close on the April What don't we do is close, that is due to no fault of my own, my husbands, or my realtor, as we did our part IT is all due to the lack of care and concern from your employees We don't close on our new house until May 3rd because of your company As a first time home buyer, this was totally unprofessional on your companies' part Your staff needs to work better with clients they have Since close to closing I have not heard a word from [redacted] or [redacted] , they need to realize without people need loans they don't have a job I will not even refer anyone to your company and if I do hear of anyone using your company I will warn them Sincerely [redacted]

I applied for a loan with Cardinal I gave them all requested information I was assured everything was OK days before closing, I was told there was a problem and my yr conventional would be changed to an ARM at almost double the rate I fortunately could close with cash and told them no After closing, I was able to get a conventional loan (which is much more difficult with no seasoning) They wasted so much of my time and I regret working with Cardinal on my loan It felt like a bait and switch Very few people are fortunate enough to be able to close without a mortgage Most people days before closing (with your stuff packed, home sold, etc) would have to agree to the higher terms I would encourage customers to not consider Cardinal Financial when they need a mortgage

Very smooth loan process, great loan officerVery responsive, and is willing to help you along the wayGot best rate for a no point mortgage, would recommend if you are looking to refinance to give them a try

I love the experience I had with Cardinal Financial they were great to work withI would highly recommend them to anyone!

Great Job finished loan process in timely manner Professional in all departments

Called and inquired about a refinance and the loan officer quoted me an interest rateThen lured me into sending in an application with alot of very personal and security identity informationThe proceeds to call me and tell me that the interest rate he quoted me an hour earlier is incorrect and the rate was 0.5% higher, that's a HUGE difference!!! Liars!! BEWARE, do NOT do business with this company!!!!

Cardinal Financial proved to go beyond the norm to accomplish a successful settlement for me When one refinance option failed, Patrick H [redacted] and John M [redacted] quickly pulled together another that proved to be beneficial Both patiently addressed my questions and concerns without hesitation and worked diligently throughout the process for a smooth settlement I was amazed to receive constant communications every step of the way and would definitely use Cardinal again in the future [redacted]

I purchased a home and closed at the end of last year using Cardinal Financial as my lender I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and speed in which my loan was processed and closed I closed before my contract closing date, and got a great rate I would recommend Cardinal Financial to anyone looking to purchase a home or refinance their home
