Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2016/03/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I Ms.*** feel that I should not have to pay out of pocket for repairs due to the fact that I have had to pay all repairs and servicing out of pocket since date of purchase when initially I was told repairs woul be covered under warranty every time I have had a problem with the vehicle I have taken it to one of their shops then I'm told it's not covered under warranty but I'm still charged $I have also lost work days due to that I don't have a vehicle I have tried to contact carhop managers and I always get no response and my problem has not been resolved but they are still deducting my checking account for monthly payment which is unfair due to that I don't have a working vehicle I'm asking that they take back the vehicle and reemburse my money that I have paid if any further questions plse contact me thank you Ms.***

I am rejecting this response because:
I was unable to get the car diagnosed back in August due to work constraints limiting my time to get the car diagnosedHowever, my current issue is that this past month I went into CarHop in Bremerton, WA to trade into a newer vehicle, when I was told it would be possible after months of ownership of the PontiacHowever, I was told that this was not the case, and I have to have the balance at either 38% of the loan amount, or have my balance down to $4,The salesman I spoke with on this matter had deceived me in how long I must wait to trade in my vehicleAfter the various mechanical problems, including the filler neck, a bad radiator hose, and most recently a failed fuel pump - I believe I have reached the pinnacle of dealing with CarHop unless they are willing to negotiate me into a newer vehicleI have paid consistently and on time over the last thirteen months

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/17) */
Thank you for forwarding the complaint from Ms*** ***Although it is
unfortunate when any of our customers has mechanical issues, unforeseen problems do
sometimes occur with used vehiclesMs*** purchased her vehicle from
CarHop on May 14,
The purchase included both a three day Satisfaction Guarantee and an month / 18,
mile limited warranty, which covers major internal engine and internal transmission components,
as well as the drive trainThe limited warranty does not cover towing or rental vehiclesThe
vehicle passed all State required inspections, as well as having a clean and clear Experian Auto
Check prior to its sale
On May 27, Ms*** notified CarHop to report a mechanical issue with her vehicleAs a
good will gesture, CarHop paid to have her vehicle towed to *** Automotive where CarHop
then paid for a replacement alternator at no cost to Ms***On June 1, Ms***
contacted CarHop about her airbag lightCarHop informed her that her contract that she signed
is clear in stating that we do not fix airbagsHowever, as another good will gesture CarHop
agreed to pay for the repair
On June 17, Ms*** reported to me that her airbag light was back on and she didn't feel
safe in the vehicleCarHop offered to get Ms*** into another vehicle, unfortunately, Ms
*** did not like her options that she qualified for and chose to keep the vehicle and take it into
a repair facilityOn June 22, Ms*** contacted me to inform CarHop that her vehicle
was involved in a hit and run accidentMs*** stated that she knew she was responsible to
repair the body damage at her expense, approximately $1,worth of damage
On June 29, Ms*** contacted me stating that her vehicle would not startAgain,
CarHop paid for the tow costCutt Loose reported that the daytime running lights were left on
On July 1, Ms*** reported that her vehicle would not start, yet again CarHop paid for
the third tow*** Automotive reported that they could not find the issue because the vehicle
started for them right away and continued to start throughout the rest of the day
*** I Edina, MN 55439-i *** phonei *** fax
On July 6, Ms *** stated to me that she wanted out of her contractWhile under no
obligation to do so and in an effort to once again exceed Ms***'s expectations, CarHop
issued Ms*** a Satisfaction of Debt (SOD) in exchange for her returning the vehicle on July
7, The SOD relieved her of any further debt owed on the vehicleIn addition, CarHop
issued a refund check to Ms***CarHop has more than exceeded its obligations by allowing
her to return a wrecked vehicle with $1,worth of damageIt is also important to mention that
Ms*** had driven the vehicle milesWith these facts, CarHop now considers this matter
closedMs*** may contact me at the number below if she should have any further questions

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/07/01) */
(Revdex.com Note: Consumer submitted a 'new' complaint 6/18, which essentially follows on this earlier complaintInstead of processing a new complaint, entering that info here as a follresponse from customer.)
NATURE OF DISPUTE:I was sold a car that was in an accident and no one ever evaluated the car previous to purchase
I purchased this car in the last week of January I have literally spent more money on rental cars and more time driving rental cars since purchasingI have had to take the car into the shop going on timesInstead of actually fixing the issue the company harrasses you and your referenced for payment meanwhile the first shop that I was told to send the car too was glueing parts into my car (as told by the second mechanic that had to fix the issue)The vehicle had been in an accident prior to purchaseI was told by the salesman upon inspecting the vehicle that no damage was done to anything but the bodythree months later I am being told that the frame is bent and its my fault although I have had no accidentI was offered to give the car back or let them attempt to repair one last time two month agoI attempted the repair and yet I have still only driving the car two weeks in the past two months that it has not ranI plan on making it my life mission to tell every single media outlet what a RIP OFF this company isI would rather be sued than pay this place another dollarI have spent in rental fees because of this company taking advantage of me and from the research that I have found everyone else as well
DESIRED RESOLUTION::I want the car taken back and the contract cancelledI do not even want to attempt another half a** repair or a replacement of an even worse car
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2015/07/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
UAC is full of s*There was never an accident on the vehicle while I had it and I even offered to have progressive send a print out that I have NEVER been in an accidentTheir own mechanice out of his mouth said that the vehicle had been in an accident the very first time that I took the vehicle in which is why the passernger door jammed when you openedit this was also and expressed concernUpone being sent to the next mechanic who hadnt seen the vehicle before, he told me that the issues with the engine and radiator were because of the accident that it had been in and thats why things kept going wrong with it and would continue to until this was fixedAlex at your mechanic shop told me the issue would persist regardless and was surprised that it had even lasted this longI explained this to Sergio when I told him I would no longer be paying on the vehicleWhich is why he had my payments pushed to the back when I sent him the receipts of all of the rentals I have had to pay for since buying the carIt was not until after taking the car back after getting a new engine and radiator and the car again stopped working a week later I told your company that I will no longer be paying on the vehicleNo one came to get it until the car was vandalized although I requested it be picked up three weeks priorThe point is after all of the evidence that I have and all of the similar complaints I have found online and from fellow peers I will see you in court because your not getting a f*ing red cent from me after intentionally selling me a LemonI have record of everything including the REAL carfax on the car not the ones that were provided

Less than a week after receiving the truck from this company I called with complaints which UAC continuously told me nothing was covered by their "warranty"The shop where I took the car for those months I had it, still has the estimates for the thousands of dollars of work it would've cost me to fix the vehicle before it was safe to driveI never once called and told them the car needed a "tune-up" however, I did tell them the spark plugs FLEW OFF while I was on the freeway and the car began smokingWhich again I was told to pay for since it was minor and not covered by warrantyWhen I finally decided I did not want this Lemon, then they decide to tell me bring it backNot once did anyone offer to fix everything on that vehicle free of chargeTheir mechanic at some shop in Hayward called me to schedule an appointment to come in and began stating if it wasnt anything under warranty (which we already were told it wasn't) then I would be paying the diagnostic and other fees out of pocketI told him no and left the car in Carhop's possessionI should not be held accountable for the mistakes this company is making and now they don't want to right their wrong
