When I moves in I failed to notice the granite was chipped. after 2 hours I went down and notified the sales staff who asked I report it to service and or look for it in my binder. I did not have the binder and after some time emailed a number of Carlisle folks who sent me the service info.
the Carlisle service team has refused to fix the chipped granite and have not returned my email to this effect.
The original request to repair the chipped granite was refused because it was reported to late. Our policy is that any damaged items that are reported within 48 hours of the possession date will be accepted but in this case the chip was not reported until over a month after possession. *** is the COP and walk through inspection showing the customers sign off and their acknowledgement that there was no damage to the counter tops at the initial inspection and key release. The emails show when the chip was reported. Our staff are trained to insure all service requests are reported to the service department, staff outside the service department are not trained to record and track the requests in our system.
We have reached out to this customer and offered to cover 50% of the cost of the repair which he has accepted so we are in the process of scheduling the repair.
