This letter is in response to Mr. [redacted] claim that we at Kingman A uto Plaza Inc. did not honor the signed agreement that was made by both parties at the point of sale. As Mr. [redacted] explains in his complaint, we...
had a written promise to repair a faulty door handle and repair a power window switch. Per our written agreement , we repaired the faulty parts and restored them back to working order. Mr. [redacted] contacted us after the promised issues were repaired fld stated that the AJC was not working correctly . I explain d to Mr. [redacted] that was not a warranty issue and is not something that Kingman Auto Plaza Inc. i$ obligated to repair. After explaining that to Mr. [redacted], we did offer to check and advise the AJC problem. Our only contact with Mr. [redacted] was over the phone. As mentioned in his complaint, he had
.his nephew attempt to drop off said unit for us to check and advise the issue. We explained to his nephew that we have a process we follow in situations like this , his nephew DEMANDED that we furnish a loaner
car !3t no charge while we checked and advised the AJC . We explained that we do not offer loaner cars as
our insurance policy does not cover any accidents/wrecks in the event that something should happen. At this point the nephew became belligerent and indignant with the dealership staff. Mr. [redacted] nephew said to me "thank you for F[redacted]JNG me over" and began to ramble on not making any sense. I then asked him to please return the car to Mr. [redacted] and have him personally contact me, either by phone or in
person to work something out. At this point, March 51 , 2014, I have not heard from Mr. [redacted]. If Mr. [redacted] would like to discuss this matter wit h me, Iwould like the chance to help him any way Ican in
resolving this matter. I can be reached Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm.
Sincerely,
[redacted] Sales Manager ###-###-####
I am very upset with Kingman Auto Plaza,I have had to take my vehicle to them 9 times to fix the problems they promised they would fix at time of purchase, they did fix some of the problems but when it came to our brake system they refused to fix them even though it was promised and written down and signed by a manager named [redacted] that they would fix the breaks and ABS system, we even tried to return the vehicle after one week due to us taking the vehicle into them 3 times within 5 days of purchasing and even though in the contract it says you can return it within 15 days if the vehicle is unsuitable for driving they refused to take it back,so I am very upset that they are not following through with there agreement/promise to fix our vehicle and they told me 7 times that the problem was fixed and when it was taken to another mechanic we found out that they indeed did not fix the brake system thereby they put my family/children in danger cause I was driving the vehicle in faith that they fixed it and they lied and did not fix it and thats what upsets me the most about Kingman Auto Plaza that they lied and put my family in danger and will not follow though with there promise/agreement and when we asked to talk to the owner they refused to let us talk to them and when we asked for a copy of the agreement they signed that they would fix the car the manager [redacted] refused to give us a copy and also refused to give us a copy of the vehicle safety inspection papers and any other papers pertaining to our vehicle that we purchased.
Purchased a 2007 chevy uplander from this company. Was promised.
1. Fix the ac
2. Check engine light
3. Brake issues
Had to take the vehicle in to them 8 times!Every time we got it back the abs light would come back on, and the check engine. Took it down to [redacted] and had is scanned each time. Problem was with the evap system, and the abs brakes system. Was told that it was fixed each time, but the same problem kept showing up. Finally, they gave up trying to diagnose the system. They sent it to the [redacted] dealership. [redacted] said
1. bad abs module
2. bad purge valve
3. bad vent valve
4. bad canister
Kingman auto plaza said they were going to fix it, and never did. Talked to the mechanic and was told that the only thing that they did to repair it was replace the purge valve. A employee name [redacted], told me that everything but the abs module was fixed. He lied the mechanic was honest and told me the truth. Even with the vehicle properly diagnosed from [redacted], they still would not fix the problem. I asked for a vehicle safety inspection report on the vehicle, and was told no. I asked for invoices for everything that had done to the car, was told no. I cannot believe that [redacted] will not give me a receipt for "service" rendered.
I will be telling as many people as I can about this company. Save yourself the hassle, buy from some else. I am not sure this car is even safe to drive with the brake problem... Crazy how these guys can get away with this.
Review: On 3/2/2015 my husband and I purchased a truck. We were not impressed by the owners nasty behavior as we were handing him money. Then the gal claimed we didn't give her enough(she dropped 200 on the floor) when I would try to talk about the loan, Tom infuriated and told me "well that doesn't matter because you don't have a job". Wich is false and very rude. I work full time. I'm just not employed with a full time status.
On the way home we noticed the transmission was slipping
On 3/3/2015 we drove back to the business to return the truck but we're verbally guaranteed that if the transmission was to break at any time they would still take care of it because they were aware of the issue.
So we opted to drive the truck exceeding our 15 day 500 mile warrantee. With the words being told to us that it would still be taken care of. And if it was to break down. That they would tow it for us so we would not be stranded.
On 4/5/2015 (holiday, they were closed) the truck broke down at a gas station.
On 4/6/2015 we called and were informed they would NOT tow it. So we had to borrow a truck, trailer, and a truck with a hoist to load it. We took it the 80 miles to Kingman. Then we were assured IF it costed us anything, at the most it would be $600. But that they were planning to replace all hoses connected to the transmission and then would pull the transmission at their expense to take it to a local transmission shop.
4/13 I received an extremely rude and out of line phone call from Tom B. (Owner of Kingman Auto Plaza) accusing us of neglecting the vehicle. We have documentation to prove otherwise. As well as wittinesses from when the tranny blew as well. Tom was so out of line it brought me to tears and I got off the phone. Later that day I called back to say we would get the truck in two weeks when we could afford to. And the salesmen reassured me he would keep trying to get something accomplished on the truck. And that they would figure it out.
4/21/2015 the salesman called and said Tom would not allow any work to be done.
4/26/2015 my husband left a message at Kingman Auto Plaza letting them know we would be getting the truck soon
4/27/2015 my husband emailed them since he hadn't heard back. Letting them know we planned to come Saturday.
5/2/2015 I called and left another message saying we would be in in the afternoon to get our truck. We showed up and, again, Tom was extremely rude. And I had to run all over the place to try to find my keys. Then we had to wait about an hour till they finally got someone to bring them to us.
Overall I am very unimpressed by the behavior and actions of this business and the owner. We would have returned our truck if we knew they wouldn't stand by their word. Now we are stuck with a truck we still owe 4000+ interest on. And now have to replace the transmission. Estimated now at 2500-3000Desired Settlement: I would hope this can make it better for people in the future that the business will stand by what they say. And that they need to fix our truck, or give us a settlement to do so.

Response:
Tell us why here To Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] would like to first and foremost apologize for any hardships you have experienced from this situation. No matter whose version of the facts are accurate this still remains an unpleasant experience for all parties involved. These ¾ ton work type trucks can be very difficult to maintain and repair as they are considered light duty equipment. I will not spend much time debating your claims as this will do little for either party involved. What I will do is list a few options we offered originally and still continue to offer. Work out a repair arrangement for the above mentioned truck. This would be Kingman Auto Plaza Inc. Repairing the truck to running and driving condition. As the truck is far out of any mandated warranty period we would need you to only purchase the parts, Kingman Auto Plaza Inc. will furnish the “Labor” for the removing and replacing the faulty part. Trade the above mentioned truck in for a different unit. This would be you picking a different car, truck, or suv of comparable price. In this scenario Kingman Auto Plaza Inc. would pay-off the current unit and originate a new loan based on approved credit on a different unit all together. I again hope I offered you some comfort in knowing we can and always planned on offering you help in this matter. Please feel free to contact me any time in reference to this matter. Review: I purchased a vehicle on June 18th. I was told there were no problems with the car. The car was purchased "as is" but was told I had 15 days if there were any problems. On June 19th the car engine kept dying. I called the salesman and he said they wouldn't do anything unless the engine seized up so I should keep driving it. On Friday June 20 I took the car to the dealership. The mechanic said the car was in such bad shape it should never have been sold. He said it had a blown head gasket. The salesman said that the mechanic would look at it on Monday but I should keep driving it and they would come and get it if it quit. He said we bought it "as is" so we were stuck with it. They would only honor the warranty if the engine quit altogether. We asked to talk to the manager and were told he would not talk with us. He said if it quit they would come and get it. I went to the store a few miles from my house with my three little kids in the car. It quit in the middle of a big intersection. A policeman helped us push the car out of the road. We called the dealership and told them to come get us and the car. They said OK. We waited in the hot (100 degree heat) for almost an hour. We called several more times but they didn't answer the calls. Finally my mom came and got us and we towed the car home.Desired Settlement: We want to return the car and get our money back. The salesman told us before we purchased it that if it broke down within 15 days or 500 miles we could get our money back.

Hi,
I'm not sure why she reported this to the Revdex.com, we looked at the car and could not fix it and refunded her the 500.00 she put down. The issue has been resolved. I'm not sure what else we should do..
Thank you
was on the way to vegas to buy a jeep. Found this place in kingman with a low mileage wrangler. Was not pressured to buy and felt very comfortable in the whole process. Thanks [redacted] and [redacted] for everything
Review: Purchased a 2004 Kia Sedona from Kingman Auto Plaza on a Saturday, January 18, 2014. It ran fine for the test drive, no sign of a problem: AC ran cold, engine ran smooth. Paid full price and gave $1000 down payment. I financed using their in-house credit @ 29.9% for two years. The car had two items on a Due Bill: Fix window switch, replace missing door handle (“Oh yes, we have the part, no problem.”). The car ran nice on that Saturday. On Sunday, the AC quit working, no cold air. The brakes had developed a squeal, and the Check Engine light came on, as well. Monday morning I called to report those problems. My sales rep told me “No problem. Bring it in and we will fix it.” That Tuesday I made an appointment for Wednesday and I stopped by the dealership to ask the rep to write my list of needed repairs as a no-charge work order, a Due Bill. “I am not allowed to write a contract item like that … but don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. You have my word.” He said he'd go so far as to replace the AC compressor if that turned out to be my Ac problem. I took it in on Wednesday, my rep wasn’t there. I left it for repairs. At 3PM I called, and a salesman told me the vehicle was “ready to go and the AC is running cold.” I got there to find the car wasn’t on the lot … and no one knew where it was. I returned at 5PM to pick it up. “All set!” but the problems were not fixed. The window switch was fixed, the door handle was not fixed (We couldn’t get the part.”), the AC did not work, the brakes squeak, the Check Engine Light was still lit. The following week I left it there for a day. “Sure, we’ll get it fixed for you.“ That evening I found the missing door handle was replaced, but the AC not working and the Check engine light was still on, the brakes squeak. I returned it several times, leaving it there for repairs “Sure, we’ll fix it.” … nothing was done. My nephew went with me and gave them a verbal blasting on a couple of occasions. The mechanic cussed at us more than once. On my last visit the “honest” mechanic said “I have no %$@#%$! intention of ever working on that %$@#%$! vehicle. Face it buddy, you got ripped off!” – I went in to make my first month’s payment, I saw my rep at a distance. He says “Hey, buddy … how ya doin’?” with a smile on his face. I said nothing as I headed to the office to make my payment.Desired Settlement: Pay a garage of my choice to make the required repairs. The vehicle needs engine repairs, AC system repair, and brake repairs. The in-house mechanic said he will not work on my vehicle.

In response to the complaint made by [redacted] and [redacted]: After they purchased the 95 Dodge Caravan, they moved to Tuscon, AZ. They contacted us stating there was problems with the vehicle and [redacted] the general manager stated that they needed to bring it in so we could look at it and they never did.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When we contacted Kingman auto plaza about the van breaking down during lemon law date they said "oh well do what you need to do". Did Not Want Anything To Do With Fixing It, Looking At It Or Anthing Along Those Lines After Weeks Of Calling And Speaking To Them. It was never expressed that they would fix it or look at it. We are 400 something miles away with no vehicle. How are we supposed to bring the van there. We have been taken advantage of and would like compensation since the lemon law states if it breaks down within 10 days or 500 miles.
Regards,
[redacted] & [redacted] & [redacted]r

Response:
In response to the emails I received from you, I noticed that the dates are wrong, they purchased the vehicle Aug 31, 2013 and the vehicle broke down 23 days before that on Aug 8, 2013? I am assuming they meant Sept 8, 2013? The vehicle breaks down on the 8th and they report us to your company on the 9th? Why? They state that they "spoke to everyone in the office and no one was budging. Who? When? We weren't even given the opportunity to resolve this matter before they called your. We told them to bring in or have the vehicle towed in and we would look at it and let them know what we found out, they did not do that. Pursuiant to [redacted], it is up to the buyer(s) to bring the vehicle to us. They purchased the vehicle on Aug 31, 2013 and that very night decided to move out of Kingman without informing us and drove the van "over 400 miles away". What was the actual mileage when the van broke down? What were they towing or hauling with the van during their move? So, they had the vehicle towed to a shop on the 9th and before they even knew what was wrong with the van and 1 day before they got the vehicle out of the shop on the 10th, they reported us to your company? Where is the shop receipt? What shop? Arizona lemon law states that you must have a product that suffered multiple repair attempts under the manufacturer's factory warranty, that hasn't happened in this case. The vehicle is no longer in their possession, it was towed without our knowledge and now lost to a towing company, where we can't even repossess it. As far as the monthly payments, they are required by law to make those payments, as they have a binding sales contract and both Mr [redacted] and Ms [redacted]r have signed it. Kingman Auto Plaza Inc has done everything in accordance with Arizona State Laws to resolve this situation. We are out the 95 Dodge Caravan and out the purchase price for the vehicle as well. I am not sure what else we could do to resolve this matter. If you have any questions please call or email me.
For the second time they have sold me the perfect car at the right price. Gave me a good price in my trade in. Got me the lowest payment they could. Very nice friendly staff. Could not have asked for more.
