This issue is not resolved despite what the dealer claimsThey gouged the vehicle price and his a service warranty in the contractSo when I asked if the residual $2,from my vehicle trade in would go towards the cost of the loan they said yesRather than owing $15,on my loan as I expected I actually owed $17,because they sneakily added in a $1,service contract.I want a refund of my $

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The consumer called Revdex.com and stated that the company would not let him test drive the car after the 2nd repair and when he drove it home the car was making the same noise. He took it to a [redacted] dealership and the part was not put on correctly and he has an extended warranty and the car.
Regards,
[redacted]

Caspian Auto Motors called [redacted]) over to the dealership and reached an agreement. [redacted] please find agreement contract. We sold the car as-is but we gave her service contract from independent warranty company. Caspian Auto Motors is dedicated to make customers happy and help...

the customer to open up a claim and get her vehicle fixed with no charge to customer.

Revdex.com:
The process in which the business Caspian Auto House, Inc, and I had to resolve this matter is as stated:  I had to contact the Virginia MVA Dealer Board, the Attorney General Office of VA. and Revdex.com, once the MVA Dealer Board contacted the business and advised them of the fact that no paperwork had ever been seen, nor signed by myself and/or son, and that they had no right to request a $499.00 fee to cancel a contract that never existed, they eventually agreed that no contract was ever presented and would surrender money collected from my loan company. I then contacted the business as to when the check would be ready, and was immediately told from the finance manager, Elshan, that he would not surrender the check until I contacted Revdex.com to change my complaint. I advised the manager, Elshan, that I would call and report him again to the MVA dealer board, and not until then did he say I could get the check. I arrived there the next day and was given a business check in full amount of the loan written out to [redacted]. I was asked to rewrite my complaint again prior to leaving the business and as I told them I would write it, but only with the truth of the events it took to right their wrong. It took 3days to resolve a matter that should have been corrected on day 1.
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform, ( check clears) as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].
Regards,
[redacted]

[redacted] bought a car from us on October 8, 2016. The car passed safety inspection before we sold the car to him. He took the car to [redacted] Dealer for diagnostics. Then customer called us about issue he's experiencing. We told him to bring the vehicle back so we fix whatever the issue is and...

he brought the car back to us for repairs. We paid diagnostics fee to [redacted] and addressed his concerns. He then picked up the car. Everything was good. He traded-in vehicle and we offered $8000 for his trade-in but he owed the bank for $6000. The there's $2000 left in which we applied as a down payment. He can see that in his paperwork $2000 as a down payment. When customer called us a few days ago, we explained him everything that how $2000 down was applied. Our manager actually talked to him and it was resolved.

His car was already registered....He can go to [redacted] to get his tags...

Review: In the market for a new truck. After finding one that interested me at Caspian auto sales, an employee insure me over the phone the truck was in excellent shape, no rust, great tires, and the truck had just been detailed and I truly needed to see it in person. The next day, Sunday Feb. 28 I drove to Stafford to see the truck. Upon inspection the trucks' bed rails underneath were almost rusted clean through, rusted frame, low tread tires, driver side fairing was a few shades off blue off, indicating it had been wrecked, and the truck was filthy. No employees were present so we left. On my way back home I called the office once they opened and exchanged words with an employee as to why j was lyed to ask to speak to the same man who informed me of the truck. They continuously hung up on me when I began to state facts on the truck. They later in the day began calling my phone restricted and off different numbers. Very unprofessional and scam artists. Betraying junk vehicles as top quality. Wasted a combined 4 hrs of driving time and a full tank of dieselDesired Settlement: A $50 gas/diesel cars to offset my wasted diesel

Business

Response:

Customer called us on February 28, 2016. He said he called before and talked to someone and he was told that the truck is in great shape. We asked who he talked to so we find out the salesperson and ask him about the conversation between them to verify. We don't know the contents of the conversation. As per customer, he came to the dealership and checked out the truck next day morning but did not like it. Then He called us on February 28, 2016 and started threatening us. If he talked to us nicely, we could have given his gas money back. It's not an issue for us. We always do our best to make our customers happy. But he started threatening us saying I will come shoot you all. "You better shut down the business and go". The different number he is mentioning is not us. It was police who is investigating the case. We are not scam artists. We sold the truck to someone next day. The criteria that you are looking for might be different than other people when buying used vehicles. The truck is 2005 (11 years old). Besides you don't even know who you talked to so that we ask the salesperson what exactly happened. You started saying some racist comments like some arab. We don't say our customers that vehicle is in excellent shape. We are selling used vehicles. If you talk nice and treat people nice, we will do our best to make you happy.

Review: It has been 30 plus days since I have purchased the vehicle. The same day I purchased the vehicle it had broken down at a stop like so I returned the vehicle to get it fixed. Same problem happened the next day & everyday after that. I told them what the problem was. The refuse to fix it. The said it wasn't under warranty but I reviewed the warranty & nowhere does it say in the warranty that the part(s) weren't covered. So I had to come out of my own pocket to replace the parts. The car is currently still getting maintenance done & will soon be finished. The car hasn't been registered through [redacted] so that's preventing me from getting my tags. That was supposed to be done before the 30days were up.Desired Settlement: Just want my license plates. No ifs, and's, or but's.

Review: I been having too many problems with the car. I took the car to a [redacted] dealer for a diagnostic.

the car has so many problems. They said its better to not repair it. I just discovered that I was charged $990 for a warranty, but they offer

3 moths of worry free warranty. I put my down payment on my car, not on a warranty.Desired Settlement: I want my $990 back and another car.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] from Caspian Motors January 2014 with a 1-year [redacted] warranty for $13K. I told the dealer at the time the car would not pass inspection with the tint and the muffler (loud) as altered. I picked the car up the night of 1/10 and drove it home. I attempted to drive it out that evening but felt something was off and I felt the car swerving all over the road. In the morning I texted the dealer Shon and told him I felt uncomfortable. He told me it had a sport suspension and that was just the way it drove. Within 2 days of purchasing the vehilce I had a flat tire. I took it back to the dealership and asked why my tire would be flat within 2 days and they said the air must've been low. Ultimately they ended up putting a replacement/used tire on the vehilce. After driving the vehicle for less than 2 weeks I took it in to the tire repair shop to find out why it was "slipping" in all types of weather. The tire shop informed me I had bald tires. He informed me that he drove it around for a while before he sold it. He also told me he had been driving the vehicle I traded in ([redacted]) in the snow and good luck driving my [redacted] in the snow because it slips on dry pavement.

One of the tires they just replaced was bald along with 2 other tires. Within one week Caspian motors replaced 2 of the 4 tires on the vehicle and gave me a check for half of the 3rd ($104) tire since they did not have any other used tires in stock or was unable to find a used tire to replace it with (they do not replace with new tires). My 3rd time in the repair shop was less than one month the cam shaft sensor went bad at 116,000 (estimated) miles. The cam shaft sensor is estimated to last unitl about 150,000 miles. I also had to replace the AC belt as it was shredded. Neither item was covered by the warranty as they were deemed electrical issues and not covered by a [redacted] warranty (worthless).

The final time in the repair shop was after an afternoon of driving in the rain I lost control of the vehilce becauase it did not drive well in the rain becasue it was not sitting flat on the ground. The vehicle had been lowered by a previous owner, and was so low it was not sitting evenly on the ground. So everytime I hit a hole in the ground it would cause damage to a tire. After one month of replacing 2 of the tires they needed to be replaced again. The repair shop informed me it would cost roughly $1500 for parts and labor to bring the car up to stock so it would sit flat which did not include new tires and rims because the car had tires that were too big for the type of vehicle. At this point I decided it was not feasible to do all the repair work that needed to be done at 118,000 miles, the vehicle was unsafe and would not be worth the money.

I took the vehicle to a [redacted] dealer hoping to trade it in for a safe vehicle. Once they pulled the [redacted] they informed me the car had 4 previous owners, the 1st for 5 years, the 2nd owner 1 year, the 3rd owner 24 days and then myself. They also informed me the odometer had been rolled back and the damage had been reported after an accident. They only gave me half of what was owed on the vehicle. I then informed the deader at Caspian Motors and he denied the condition of the vehicle and told me not to bother him going forward. After only 2 months with the vehicle I put over $1000 in it myself to find it was not safe and the dealer would do nothing to make up for it. He said it was sold with a warranty, however the warranty covered none of the issues the car had and if I had a problem to address it in the right format.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the vehicle as it would have not passed a legitimate inspection. I found out when I called the [redacted] that is had failed inspection once prior for the tint and the brakes. I know the tint was still illegal when I purchased it and told the dealer at that time. They did not fix the tint and the tires were bald when I purchased it and I was not aware. The car was unsafe and almost resulted in a major accident with myself and my 10-year old daughter. I have $7,000 of negative equity because of the unsafe [redacted] and I would like a refund.

Regards,

Review: On 6/26/2014, I purchased a used [redacted] AWD and while driving the car home from the dealership, it began making a terrible noise and the right brake light was inoperable. Upon returning home, I immediately called them to inform them of the problems and to let them know I was returning the vehicle. I returned the vehicle to Caspian Auto on 6/30/2014 and they told that they would correct the issues with the vehicle. On 7/3/2014 I received a call from Caspian and they informed me that they had completed the work and the vehicle was ready to be picked up. On 7/7/2014, I went back to Stafford to retrieve my vehicle. I was told they replaced the left wheel bearing, repaired the right brake light, and issued an inspection sticker for the vehicle. After driving 40 miles on my way back to Richmond, the vehicle began to smoke and make a loud grinding noise, I made it to my home and called Caspian to inform them of the situation and they replied, they had done all they could and they didn't want me to return the vehicle. I then took the vehicle to [redacted] and after they completed a total diagnosis of the vehicle, I was told that I needed to replace the left wheel bearing, the right rear axle, the rear brake pads and rotor, and an alignment. I called Caspian and they said the would not do anything else for me. Feeling I had no other option, I took the vehicle to [redacted] to have the rotor and brake work done.

During the job the mechanic noticed that although someone had recently replaced the axle bearing, they didn't tighten the nut and it had been stripped out which had created more damage. ( Ihave a statement from [redacted] to attest to that fact).Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the the cash I had to spend to repair the vehicle. $2775.50.

Business

Response:

[redacted] came to our dealership to purchase [redacted]. He checked out the vehicle and had opportunity to test drive. He bought the vehicle the same day. After purchase he took the car to his mechanic and mechanic stated couple issues with the car. Then [redacted] called us about these issues and we told him to drop off the car and we will take care of those issues with no extra charge to you. He brought the car in. We actually gave the customer 6 month / 7,500 mile [redacted] for free. Since those issues were not covered under [redacted], we took care of all the issues that his mechanic indicated for free. We called [redacted] to pick up his car. Upon picking his car, [redacted] signed the statement where it says all the issues were fixed with no extra charge...Attached please find that statement. Because [redacted] was threatening us complaining to dealer board and taking legal action, and finally putting review on Revdex.com. Again he took the car to [redacted] then called saying mechanic found problems with the car...We told him nicely that we did the best we can to fix those issues and they were fixed. We did our part. This is used car. We're not selling new cars. As a dealership we have our responsibilities. We have to make sure the car passes the safety inspection and free of major problems. We don't go with franchise dealerships' estimates about the car. Any used car you take to them, they will find problems because it's used. Since car had inspection from March, [redacted] requested another inspection and we took the car to inspection station and the car passed safety inspection again. It had fresh inspection. Now matter what we do, [redacted] is not satisfied. [redacted] is hard to deal with and is not cooperating. Even though we sold the car AS-IS from us, we gave [redacted] Free 6 month warranty from warranty company. We could have just refused to fix problems since we sold as-is. But we did not, we took care of our customer fixing his car issues for free. But he's still threatening us over the phone. We always take car of our customers.

Regards,

Review: Caspian Auto called me to ask if I could get the emissions done on the used car that I had just bought from them so that they could get the registration/tags done. I got the emissions done and called Caspian to get my reimbursement for the $28 that I spent. They in turn told me that they would not reimburse me for that because they don't have to. In Virginia, the law states that used car dealers are required to issue a valid emissions test for any vehicle they sell. I feel that they should reimburse me the $28 since they did not have the emissions done before they sold me the car.Desired Settlement: I want my $28 refunded.

Business

Response:

According to Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board, Dealers are only responsible for state safety inspection prior to selling the car. Dealers are not responsible for emission inspection. It's customer's responsibility. Customer may contact Dealer Board and request information about it. That being said, customer paid $28 for emission inspection and demanded refund. Once again, It's not our responsibility. But we will pay the customer in the amount of $28 to make her happy. We sent her check along with her license plates on 3/4/2015.
