Consumer’s Original Complaint:I was told by the manager of the property that the credit check will only be a soft and not a hard inquiry on to my credit report as I stated I do not wish to proceed if it will be a hard inquiry.Consumer’s Desired Resolution:Currently, there is a hard inquiry reporting on my credit report by AM Rent and wish for it to be removed please as I did not authorize for a hard inquiry to be done and stated to the manager I will not proceed further if it will be a hard inquiry which he stated it would not

I want the inquiry removed from my credit reports because I was told it wouldn't be a hard inquiry. Potential consumers shouldn't be lied to. Highland mortgage needs to understand the difference between a hard pull and soft pull. I was told it would be a soft pull. Please remove this inquiry.
