Centennial Moving Reviews (%countItem)

Me and my wife had gotten several bids from different companies and Centennial Moving was better than the others. In the end, we were very satisfied with our move, very impressed with the people we were involved with, particularly the movers. They were hardworking, very polite, and eager to please. Everything was excellent in every way.

I have booked my moving from Victoria to Ottawa and paid the deposit almost two months before my moving date and everything is confirmed. But two days before the scheduled time, I got an email from Centennial, and was told that they can't make it on the contract date, and the next available date is three weeks later. I don't think this is the right way to handle the business to inform the customer is such a short notice.

Overall, a very good experience with this moving company. Things went smoothly from start until the very end. I needed to make the move from Toronto to Vancouver, so once the customer service confirmed the availability of the dates I was looking for, they sent me a booking agreement, which I secured by paying a deposit of $150, after which I provided the full item list that I needed to move and then I just waited for the pickup date. The movers arrived on time, treated my items with care and then I received the delivery undamaged. Safe, fast and without hassle, definitely recommended Centennial Moving.

Big Thanks to Centennial Moving team for accommodating my move.
The service was very prompt, safe and economical.
Movers were a joy to watch and customer service people were always friendly and very responsive.

I was complicated to find a mover considering the fact that I received around 15 estimated from different companies.
Most of them had good reviews however my choice fell on Centennial Moving. I decided to use them just because the sales agent was on top of all my questions.
I was very happy that I made this choice because the movers that helped me were amazing. Nice guys that worked very hard and took care of my things.

while they are delivering my boxes and funiture, they cracked my funiture.
night table - back of night table have a huge hole. huge crack.
drawer - back of it have a crack.
it was just 1 year old new funiture...
***.
I cant even use that night stand. (bricks)
and they said they will give us $60
are you serious?...... you can have it and give me a new one that I used to have. how can I use it when the back side of the night stand have huge crack.

Hi there, I want to thank all Centennial team for the job that they've done for us. The custom service was patient and agreeable, and answered all my questions in a understandable manner, the movers were pleasant and did their job as true professionals - fast and accurate. Frankly speaking, I was worried at first, because it was my first move and I had many fragile things to move. In the end, I felt relieved when I found out that all my stuff was delivered in the promised window without even a scratch. ***. Thanks Centennial team for the service that you've done for us.

Myself and my fiancee moved from Vancouver BC to Montreal QC in on February 27th.
We contacted Centennial Moving in January to schedule our move and agreed to have our things picked up on Monday the 26th of February.
On Friday the 23rd I received an email informing me thatthey were changing our pick up date to either Wednesday February 28th (which was two days after our originally agreed pick up date and clearly would not work for us), or Sunday February 25th.
I sent an email stating that Sunday the 25th would work for me, despite that being a day earlier than we had originally agreed upon.
I then received an email from Centennial stating that Sunday would not work and it would have to be Wednesday, since this was not working for us and I was clearly *** concerned at that point, I decided to call one of Centennialâ??s employees, Warren. The only option given by Warren was to have our things picked up on Saturday at 9am to which we had to agree as we had NO other option. This call was madeat approximately 2pm on Friday the 23rd, so 19 hours before the new pick time they were imposing on us.
Myself and my Fiancee both took a half day off work and went home to pack up our entire apartment. Cancelling all plans we had for that evening and packing late into the night. We weighed and marked every box and item we were shipping and we had a total of around 1300 lbs.
We woke up Saturday in time to be ready for the Centennial drivers to come pick up our stuff at 9am. At 9:15, we received a voicemail saying it wasn't going to work that day due to the weather, and that our collection would be rescheduled for Monday the 26th. The original date we had agreed upon.
At this point we had both taken a half day off work in order to pack and thus had missed out on a half days pay each as a result of Centennials mistake. Furthermore, as we had packed everything up on the Friday, ready to be picked up on the Saturday morning, we had no means of cooking or even eating food in our apartment so we had to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday and the Sunday.
All this combined had left us with around $350 less in our pockets, as a result of Centennials mix up. Not to mention the stress and hassle we had gone through at having to pack everything up last minute.
On Monday, the drivers came and took our stuff.
?We called Centennial and enquired about how they were planning on compensating us for their mistake. We were told the best they could offer was $50.
We of course declined and informed them that they needed to come up with a better offer.
We then received an email asking what we would consider â??fair compensationâ? for their mistake. We informed them that due to us both taking a half day off work in order to pack had cost us $200 and that would be least amount they could offer. $200 barely covered the amount we had actually lost out on, so couldnâ??t even really be considered compensation, it was more of a reimbursement. They replied and offered $100, the â??bestâ? they could do according to them.
At this point we had had enough of dealing with this company so were forced to accept.
?Later, we had to contact them to ask for our bill (after the scaling of our stuff) so we could see the total, this should have been sent to us as soon as they had it. We received an email stating that our total weight was 1860 lbs. No bill or breakdown or official document. Just an email saying that was our weight and how much money we owed.
I asked for a copy of the official weigh ticket and I received back an email attachment of a photocopy of piece of paper with a Centennial watermark. Not exactly an official weigh station ticket. They completely made up the weight and the weigh ticket is made by them stating our things had been weighed by an official operation manager of Centennial. They refused to provide a real scale station ticket. ***.
At this point we resigned ourselves to just pay the amount Centennial said we owed despite the total weight they came up with being 500 lbs heavier than the weight we believe we had. We were done dealing with this company and absolutely drained by hassle caused by them.
I cannot stress enough how bad this whole experience has been. The staff being *** and ***, the changing of pick up times last minute, the over charging, the unofficial documents, the *** customer service. ***
***. Their original cost estimates are lower than other companies, but they just jack up the price at the end. The overcharging made sure that they got back the â??compensationâ? they had â??offeredâ?.

I had a seamless experience shipping my condo (2 bedroom) with Centennial from Barrie, ON to Surrey, BC. The movers were extremely professional, telling me exactly what I needed to know to make everything as easy as possible. The sales guys were incredibly nice and responsive when it came to obtaining quotes, inventory, scheduling, etc. Their prices are fair and definitely worth the excellent service you get, and you're aware of all potential extra fees and budget accordingly. The whole experience was stress-free.

Hi Cenntenial Moving,
I want to thank you moving my belongings from Red Deer AB to Toronto.
The goods came to Toronto without any damages, every thing was wrapped in front of me properly and secured in to the truck. I was fascinated on how the mover was working, really fast and good service from the mover. The costumer support was polite and kind. the goods arrived sooner than I expected, and that was really good, because I needed them to be in Toronto as soon as possible, they took full responsibility for moving my items an time and they did it.
Thank you very much again Centennial Moving.

Guys were courteous and prompt. It's a long, not easy move from Kamloops to Midtown Toronto but they kept a good attitude and got the job done. My furniture and fragile items were all handled with care and I really appreciated them taking things apart and putting them back together. It took them less than 2 hours to move everything from my 1BR apartment, and I was amazed at how fast and efficient the whole process was! My sincerest thanks to the team.

I would like to give a note and thank Centennial for giving us the best experience for moving our 2 bedroom house from Winnipeg to Toronto ON. Movers were extremely polite, professional and very efficient. They have disassembled my bedroom set, wrapped it tightly, and loaded on the truck. Delivery was very smooth, they placed all my furniture were they suppose to be and reassembled my bedroom set. Prior the booking and mover arrival, Centennial's agents were very knowledgeable and had my complete move arranged very smoothly.
Keep up the great work and professionalism Centennial!
Thank you!

Completely disappointed in the service this company provided gave me a quote and bills was almost 4x the quote, they broke or damaged my things and offered $50 as restitution! ***!

Big thanks to Centennial Moving through the entire moving process. My goods arrived safe and I was the happiest person on earth to see that!! Good luck to Centennial Moving for the future

Moved from Burlington On to Vancuver Island (Gabriola) BC , August 2017
About 5500 pounds (all house) everything was perfect
Thank to Centennial
Braco

I have moved 3 times in the last 2 years for work and I have used Centennial Moving for all my moves and they've always been the best choice for me without even looking for other options. In fact, this last move I just completed with them was the best moving experience I've ever had. It was completely seamless with no stress. Their estimate was accurate, they packed and picked up the shipment on the exact days as promised. They even stored my goods for two months while I found a new home and then they delivered on the exact day that I requested. The moving teams were friendly and professional.

I am very happy that the moving company I selected fulfilled all my
expectations. Centennial Moving was my choice and it will most
definitely by my choice next time when I move from Vancouver back to
Toronto.
The entire moving process went very professional from start to finish.
It is always nice to see that people you hire know their job and know
what needs to be done.
A big thanks to Centennial Moving, to their customer support team, to
their driver and movers

I have moved from Montreal to Toronto with Centennial and I can say it was well worth every penny I paid them - saved me lots of time & money, with them there is nothing difficult or not possible, dealing over the phone or via emails was just perfect! the guys in the office and the movers did really a great job.

Although their communication was efficient & service friendly, several of our things arrived broken or damaged. . .
Pick up time was changed at the last minute. Delivery, was only given 24hrs notice, otherwise I would be charged another $350 to bring my things another day, I was moving into a new condo building, 24 hrs to bk the elevator was very difficult. Broke my 55 inch, 3D, *** flat-screen, I can't even repair it, as the display is wrecked! They wrapped in a light blanket at pick up & said they would box it, it arrived in the same blanket? Management then told me that the movers never promised me that, I was totally shocked. . .

Since their insurance only covers the weight, not the actual value, I only received $50 in compensation!

I chose Centennial moving for my move from Toronto to Winnipeg. After pickup, they informed me that shipment weight was 12100Lbs, bill around 6600$. I denied as I knew it was around 6000-8000lbs as I moved from other city last year with 6000 lbs. They tried to scare me that I have to pay $525 to re do scale and if the new weight is more than %10 difference, they will adjust the price! I asked why? I asked them to rescale simply before unloading and scaling costs just $50 but they didn't accept. When you call and talk to any of them, they repeat their own words as if they don't listen to you like an answering machine! They don't care about you and present no reason but also repeat and repeat!! I accepted to pay for rescale when I would be present at scaling station as I wanted to observe rescaling. They agreed and sent the scaling address the next day and when I asked them to get driver cell phone number they refused. Next morning I was hang around for one hour but nobody showed up, then called them, somebody said " the driver has left after scaling and now is on the way of your house." When I asked angrily about the reason, he said it doesn't matter you will see the result, he was very relaxed and didn't give me any apology or reason, just repeating doesn't matter!! I told them if you tell the truth why driver didn't call me at the time of scaling but he said we can't give the cr to driver!!!! When I got home the driver showed the scaling ticket from other scaling station!!! and asked me to pay with cash! he said we don't unload unless you pay. There was no way for me, I had to pay. I said I would pay by credit card to have invoice and he said we can't accept because we don't have the machine to get credit card. After long phone argument with Viktor who was a *** manager I had ever seen, they accepted to send invoice to my email immediately after paying cash. Anyway, I paid them $6800 while recording with camera to have a proof that I paid *** After payment Victor called me and said if you want the invoice receipt, you should email a letter on your name saying that you don't have any complain from our company and you'll be fine. I was devastated and told him I would call the police right now and claim you and he said very relaxed: OK, let's do it!! I refused unloading my stuffs and after a while the driver called Victor and *** finally told me that they sent invoice to my email!
By the way, only dining table and two boxes of our dishes as well as glass frames of our painting were broken.
