Central Ave Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Reviews (24)

Review: During safety recall work to replace a defective wiring harness on the driver-side heated rear view mirror - both my window tint and window were damaged. Dealer denies responsibility for the after-market tint - which I had to replace and cost $45.00 - however - the actual window itself has two (2) small divots. Damage was hidden by a partially opened window on vehicle pick up - a very cold day in March. Vehicle is leased from same dealer. Have also notified Chrysler/Jeep regarding same - still no resolution from dealer or Chrysler/Jeep. Dealer claims I was informed of the possibility of window tint damage and their lack of responsibility for same prior to safety recall work - which is untrue, complaint also involves damage to actual window glass which received no response from dealer.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for tint replacement and inspection of damaged window for safety/acknowledgement by dealer that I will not be held liable for same on lease expiration.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: This is a service problem. I bought my car in CO. This is not a purchase problem. On 7.[redacted]13 I was in NY. I had to do an oil change while there. I went to this Chrysler jeep Dodge place. They did my oil and gave me back my new car damaged. They hid the damages. i.e. Had I not walked around the car to check it I would have seen the damage until after leaving. I had a brand new **13 dodge avenger that was in great no dent condition prior to this service. They tried denying the damages. Although slight there is under bumper damage that has not been checked yet because the dealer has failed to date to provide me with their insurance information. The service manager [redacted] ###-###-#### and ###-###-#### acknowledged the damage was their error and told me he would pay out of pocket costs. He was provided with photos in July and photos in August the photos are identical and Aug was a more through supplement to the July estimate and he backed out and did not pay me NOR has he authorized for my insurance to do the work. Mr. [redacted] played a game of stalling and phone tag - he never told me how my car was damaged i.e. what they collided it with or who was driving it when it was dented etc.. all the information I as owner of the dented car needs to have- and today my car is still not repaired. The service place new I lived in CO at the time of my oil change. I had a witness in the car with me at the oil change who also knew the condition of my car before and after the serviceDesired Settlement: This dealership needs to now provide me with their insurance info or submit a payment directly to my collision adjustor to get my car fixed from the dent damages they did to my bumper and slight dent on the trunk.

Response:

Hello [redacted] came in for an oil change on 7-**-13 and waited. After we completed the service,

she paid and left. She then came back in and stated to the service advisor that her rear

bumper was damaged. He took pictures of the damage and told her he would show them to me. After reviewing the pictures as well as the security

cameras I called the customer.I informed her that the security cameras did not show the vehicle being damaged here. I also told her the repair would cost

me a few hundred dollars here in new York and for her to get an estimate in CO. At that point I will consider helping her in the cost of the repair as good will.

The body shop called me with a $1300 estimate for the repair. After questioning the cost the shop advisor stated the repair was for the bumper as well as

dents on the truck. No one mentioned dents. Not my people nor her. I spoke to carol and explained that I would reimburse her $300 for the bumper only but

she did not accept and hung up on me. Thank You

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As stated before, Mr. [redacted] knows the ramification for the damages done to my car by his shop employees. He saw his camera which he never shared with me the details on. He knows the obligation to me as a customer. He has not lived up to his obligation neither as an individual or as a professional business running services on cars. Again he and his shop knew I lived in Denver. I also have reason to believe that their shop put in an aftermarket air filter in my car during that oil service as they were the only ones who told me I needed a new one on my new car. I only used dodge on my car and no shop prior to them touched my air filter.

He needs to stop fabricating the events that took place on this day and admit to the problems they caused on the day I went to do an oil change. I would not recommend this shop to anyone who has a good car or a new car. They were too negligent in the care and attention provided for this minor service. My car should of went in and come out relatively quickly and in good condition. They were too unorganized, and too crowded, to have the amount of intake vehicles they had on the premises at the one time. This car has never been damaged before or after going to that shop. The car is precisely in the same condition(after the dents in their care) as shown to him in July via photos by email from both repair adjustors in July and August. The adjustor even placed a ruler in the location of the dents so he could know which areas were being estimated.

Good Morning:

Contrary to what Ms. [redacted]'s states my story has remained consistent. Her version has new revisions

every time she responds. Our position is as it always was. We know the damage did not occur at Central Ave.

The damage we agreed to assist the customer with as a goodwill gesture was estimated to be about $300.00 and

after reviewing the additional damage which was never presented to us with our body shop repairs would only be about $500.00.

We feel we are being taken advantage of by Ms. [redacted]'s and her body shop. So again as a goodwill

gesture we are willing to either repair the vehicle at no charge at our body or reimbursement Ms. [redacted]s $500.00.

We feel we are doing more than anybody would under the circumstances.

Sincerely Yours, [redacted]

Review: I leased a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country in June 2012 from [redacted] Yonkers NY. One month after the lease began I heard a whiring sound and brought the car to Chrysler where they stated a new transmission was needed and it was replaced. A little over a year later I heard the same sound. Moreover there were 2 instances when the car shifted from drive to neutral to drive. I luckily was not going at a high rate of speed- I was going at 5 miles per hour in one instance and in the other was stopped for a light. I felt very uncomfortable driving the car and went back to Central Ave Chrysler stating wanted to exchange the vehicle for another Town and Country. I was told that this was not possible that it was up to Chrysler corporation not Central Ave Chrysler to make that decision. I was told to bring the car in for servicing and as it turns out I was told I needed a new transmission. I told them a new transmission was placed in July 2012. The car is now in their service center and will be for one week. They at first refused to give me a loaner car then stated I could have a rental.Desired Settlement: I want to have the above vehicle completely replaced with another new Chrysler Town and Country. I will continue to lease the new vehicle.

Business

Response:

As per our conversation this morning regarding Case ID[redacted]

Central Ave Chrysler performed a warranty repair to the transmission for the manufacturer Chrysler Corporation on 12/**/2012.

On 8/**/2013 the transmission failed again for the second time. At that time we replaced the front pump inside the transmission and returned the vehicle to the customer. The customer was contacted after the repair and to the best of our knowledge the vehicle is operating fine at this time.

Unfortunately Corporation will not replace the vehicle as they feel it doesn't qualify for the lemon law. However Central Ave Chrysler is willing to look into the possibility of taking this vehicle in on trade and replacing it with a new one. If this is something the customer would like to pursue I can have our sales manager contact them and see if it is financially possible.

Thanks

Review: April **th, 2013, I went to central ave jeep dealership to purchase a brand new vehicle with the amount of $8,000 down. Sale price was 32,100, after my deposit of $8,000 the price was suppose to drop and the remaining balance of the car should have been $26,560 after taxes and other incentives. After going through my contract thoroughly final sale price was raised to $40,555.16, I feel I was swindled by a bunch of men in the dealership. [redacted] and I went alone not to mention first time car buyer. I tried contacting the dealership days later and neither the finance manager or sales person was available. I went into the dealership several times only for them to tell me the final sale was 32,000 and my initial down payment of $8,000 was put towards warranty! I felt they were confusing me with dealership language obviously I would not understand. I need help with this transaction, I purchased a brand new car jeep wrangler 2013, I didnt need all the warranty being the fact the car comes with warranty up to 100,000 miles. Im looking to have this settled where the orignal sale price suggested to me is honored!Desired Settlement: I would like the initial sale price of the car which would be 32-34,000 after taxes and incentives be honored to me and any extra money refunded back.

Business

Response:

The customer was charged the amount That she stated in her complaint. The total price includes taxes and products that were added in and approved by her.

As the customer stated the car does come with a warranty to cover her up to

100000 miles but only for 5 years and only for the engine, transmission and 4 wheel drive. The extended service contract that she purchased covers her for

7 YEARS and full mechanical coverage. We have spoken with the consumer and we are working with her to upgrade her vehicle at her request
