I am rejecting this response because:  I was not aware that I was paying a debt to this company and if they needed a power of attorney document to speak to anyone other than me then then I should have needed to have a power of attorney with me to make that decision as I am a disabled woman with a traumatic brain injury and have fallen victim to scams like this in the past.   Also
 I am rejecting this response because: The person on the phone from Central Portfolio stated to me that they only needed a standard release of authorization to speak with my case manager and did not state anything about a power of attorney, making this statement false.  I expect a full refund of the money they took from me

Central Portfolio Control sent a validation letter to Mr. [redacted] on June 23,2017 notifying him that an account of his had been placed with our office for collection  As this account is disputed by Mr. [redacted] we are advising our client of this and will be closing the account in our...

office. As we never reported this to any credit bureau we would have nothing to do with taking this off his credit bureau report.

I am not sure what the response means. My account is closed with them. Will this be removed from my credit report or will this be purchased/sold to a different agency. If this is in fact going to be closed, I want a formal letter stating this from the collection agency.

Their response: "If it is on the credit report it will not be removed by us as we did not put it on the credit report." OF COURSE THEY PUT IT ON THERE.... I have a copy of my credit report .... how else would I have known to contact them??? I want it removed. This company has been involved in MANY lawsuits and I will take this to my Attorney General to pursue other legal action on these people.

Central Portfolio Control did not report anything on Ms. [redacted]'s Credit Bureau because we do not own the debt. Thus Central Portfolio Control has nothing to delete.

They say that they will honor my request and not call me and leave messages. thanks.

On May 6 2015 we spoke with Ms. [redacted] and agreed to $25 a month until the balance of $333.44 was paid. At that time she told us the following:"A long time ago I decided to give my family a good Christmas because they had helped me so much." "I used the [redacted]." "They loved everything they got" We will not be refunding any monies as she clearly knew what she was paying. In addition we will not be responding to any further correspondence on this matter

In order for Central Portfolio Control to speak to any person other than the consumer we would have have to be in receipt of a power of attorney signed by the consumer. We were waiting to receive it, but when we received the correspondence from the Revdex.com  we shut the account down and notated it...

as no further calls on the account.  Ms. [redacted] had been paying on a debt which originally had been a [redacted] account with an initial balance placed with our office in the amount of $333.44. She had paid it down to a remaining balance of $9.29. Ms. [redacted] was completely aware of what she was paying for.  Central Portfolio Control will not be refunding any monies.
