According to our records we have not received any calls or complaints regarding this cookware. We have, however, as stated previously tried to reach the customer on three separate days after receiving this complaint with no response. Century Lifestyles, Inc. has demonstrated that they...

care about their customers!

In response to complaint ID [redacted], we have been in contact with the consumer and have come to a mutually agreed resolution to their issues with the vacation certificates.

The customer had contacted us in February to let us know she was looking to resume her payments on her product.  She was supposed to call us back with a new cc to use and we never heard from her.  After receiving this complaint we contacted her and she is now back on track with her...

payments and this matter has been resolved.

We have tried to contact the customer numerous times since receiving this complaint and have gotten no return call. Up until this complaint was filed we were unaware of any issues and would gladly have tried to resolve them had we known.  If the customer would call [redacted] at ###-###-#### she...

would be more than happy to go over some options with her.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] We have made several calls and many complaints about the cookware, so there is no reason for it to be said that there were no complaints. I dont think it is fair to have to buy something and only have 3 days to decide we do not want the product, when we didnt even recieve the cookware for a week after we ordered it, there fore, how are we to know that we even like the product ? and if we do not like it, we are unable to return it ? that is extremely unfair.

Review: On 4/**/2013 my fiance and I were told to attend an event exclusively for engaged couples in the area because our contact information had been sold by a bridal company in the area to several different companies for opportunities we did not ask for. [redacted] told me I was one of only a handful of couples receiving 3 free items with no strings attached as long as we both attended an hour long session. I agreed because she stated we would be gifted with matching tungsten wedding bands, an exclusive weekend trip at no cost to us and another surprise gift. As was stated over and over, 'at no cost to us.' We arrived at the seminar and was told we would be the audience of cookworld dishware. The surgical stainless steel dishware that could supposedly 'extend your life.' I say this because we were told by [redacted] and her co-worker that the normal run of the mill dishware that everyone else uses would kill us approximately 5-7 years before our time. She led a demonstration in scrubbing the bottoms of normal stainless steel and cast iron skillets swishing water in the bottom. She stated that ingesting these types of metals into our bodies would harm us when in fact it is not harmful to us at all. Only after the demonstration, and scaring everyone into thinking we were killing ourselves by cooking food, did she tell us the 'free items' were not actually free and so this is what actually brought us there. We became skeptically but then she separated everyone and spoke with my fiance and myself alone. She stated we would be doing our young daughter a favor by staying alive longer for her benefit and saying in only 25 months we would have it paid off This made us curious because the numbers she stated did not completely match up. She was tossing around numbers left and right and absolutely no interest rate was mentioned. I did not want to be signing up for something that I could not pay off in 25 months so I made sure to ask [redacted] 'Is the interest a set amount or is the interest growing?' "Oh no, don't worry it is already at a set amount it will not grow at all in the 25 months.' I asked her repeatedly and I continued to get the same answer. She said it would be set for 25 months as long as we made an upfront payment of $100.00 and made monthly payments of $91.00 for only 25 months. We were worried about the agreement because we were a new family and barely making ends meet. She would not allow us to read the contract and continued to pick it up and shuffle it around making it hard to see. She told us we only had 24 hours from time of signing to cancel the order I asked why only 24 hours when we would not even receive the dishware until 3-4 weeks later. She stated it was the policy and would not talk about it further. Soon after we paid the $100 upfront we decided to cancel I called in and the representative said I was given only 24 hours to decide I said that was ludicrous and was hung up on. Once we received the dishware the agreement came with it. After finally being able to read it the agreement stated we had 3 days, 72 hours to decide to cancel and we were lied to on both accounts. When I called back again to cancel I was told my time to cancel was up and was denied. And no where on the agreement did it state the interest amount. I have read it line after line. No where mentioned is an interest rate which by law states there has to be one for a contract to hold. Since April of 2013 we have attempted to use the dishware but all it does is stick when we were told nothing would ever stick to the pans and it would never fade or have water spots. Well it has both water spots and it fades and sticks. The lids tops have all popped off and the only thing in the set that might be worth anything is the set of kitchen knives. We were charged $1999.00 for the sales price $160.00 for freight and handling and $210.00 in sales tax coming to a total of $2369.00 once paid the $100.00 it became $2269.00 financed. $2300.00 for dishware. At the time I should have looked online to see how much the dishware sets are really worth because if I look them up I never see a set more expensive than $300.00. This was a complete rip off. We were lied to and manipulated into signing. I was advised by my contract lawyer to cease payments until we could come to a resolution but once I had the day of the [redacted] of March which is the day the amount is due I was receiving harassing phone calls 5-8 times a day asking 'where's our money, where's our money.' I was tired of it I stopped answering the phone calls. We were then contacted by [redacted] from the legal dept. of Century Lifestyles. She was very harsh and extremely threatening in the phone calls we've received from her. She stated once in a phone call if I did not call her back she was going to send someone out to my place of work to find me after running a trace on me to make me pay my bill. Then she was going to make a judge grant her permission to remove my paychecks. I actually became very terrified of being alone in a dark place or out at night and even for my 18 month old daughter. I have never been spoken to like that and did not appreciate it. I have anxiety and this only worsened it. She was very rude and using fowl language over the phone. I work in customer service and never have I experienced before the attitude or rudeness as I have from this woman. She is very disrespectful and psychologically upsetting. I had tried multiple times to cancel the order. I do not want the dishware I do not want anymore contact with this company i.e. Century Lifestyles LLC, Royal Prestige, CookWorld, or Time Investment.Desired Settlement: I had tried multiple times to cancel the order. I do not want the dishware I do not want anymore contact with this company i.e. Century Lifestyles LLC, Royal Prestige, CookWorld, or Time Investment. I want them to take back all the items they 'gifted' me with and I want the contract to be null and void. I would like any and all monies I have sent to Time Investment to be refunded and contact made with the 3 credit bureaus, TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian, that the account is terminated with no late payments. I would also like an apology from [redacted] for the behavior.

Review: [redacted] USA promised a FREE trip if you purchased any one of their three cookware or knife sets at their seminar. No Free trip upon our purchase.

My husband and I were called and informed that we had won a trip, which we were entered in through a bridal registry, a gift card for wedding bands and a coupon for shopping and that all we had to do is come to a 90 minute seminar and once it was over we would receive these items. After the seminar concluded [redacted], the salesperson, informed us numerous times that if we purchased any one of the three cookware or knife sets we would win a free 8 day/7 night trip to any resort world wide. We purchased the 17 piece pot set, only to receive 15 pieces, in order to have our honeymoon taken care of. [redacted] advised each of the ten couples that attended that the trip is 100% free and that the only expenses would be taxes which will be nothing more than $100 each person. The original order date was 8/**/13 and after receiving the products we did call the company and inquired about the return policy and asked if we could return the items. this was about five days after the purchase. The rep. instructed us that we only have 3 days to return the items and that we just missed their return policy. We did explain that we no longer wanted the products and they instructed us that they could only exchange it if it was damaged. About 3-5 months later my now husband and I were looking at the trip information that was given to us from [redacted] and Century Lifestyles from purchasing their products. We called the number, registered and starting looking up the resorts through the trip travel information that was provided to us on the travel voucher card from the sales rep. While we were looking at the resorts not one of the resorts came up FREE. Every resort had a charge per day for staying at their resort. We did search the internet for these resorts as well and the prices were the same, not reduced or free at all. We did call the trip travel agency and they instructed us that they did not give away free trips nor did they advertise themselves as a company that does so. We did inform them that [redacted] is advertising their travel company for free vacations and that upon buying their products you will receive a free trip. My husband and I did pay off the cookware fully with the store credit that we opened with [redacted], who is affiliated with [redacted], with our personal credit card and upon finding out that the advertised deal for a free trip was false my husband and I choose to dispute the charge with our personal credit card. About 30 days after the card was in process of the dispute, [redacted] and [redacted] has called and e-mailed us threatening that we had better pay them their money back and that if we do not by April **, 2014 they will report this to all 3 credit bureaus. I have never dealt with such a misleading company ever. We would just like this resolved and have informed them that we would like to return the products. We will never purchase from this company again nor recommend them to anyone else for such misleading acts of false advertising.Desired Settlement: My husband and I are seeking nothing less than a full refund for the products purchased. We are more than willing to ship all products purchased from [redacted] USA back to their offices at our own shipping expenses just so that we can receive our refund for the products, in which part of the sale was to receive a free trip that was not free. If this company is legitimate, it would be in their good favor to show excellent customer service if they would take back the product for a full refund. It

Sincerely,

Review: The sales pitch provided by ([redacted]) their sales consultant, is that purchasing their product from "Cookworld USA" as a 17 piece "Bridal Package" as they call it, is that it comes with 3 dream ALL INCLUSIVE dream vacations. What We received was just 2 vacations that were not all inclusive unless you paid out of pocket (which was mandatory if you chose a place like the Caribbean). We also received a 2 night stay in Mexico. They make it seem like purchasing the product at a price of $2,500 is a great deal when you consider the vacation packages you get. Which to my Fiance' and I sounded like a great idea for our honeymoon. [redacted] gives out his phone number and tells everyone to call him if you have any questions or you can also email him.. since the day we left I have sent email after email and made phone call after phone call only to repeatedly get his voice mail. I can only feel sorry for the rest of the couples that made the same purchase we did that day. [redacted] tells us that our vacation packages do not ever expire however when you receive them there is a clear expiration date noted on the back which is in such a time frame that unless you make a ton of money or have about a months worth vacation available to take in a year you'll never get to go.Desired Settlement: All I am asking is to be refunded my purchase price for false advertising. The product does not come with all that is advertised. I have pictures, dates, copies of emails, phone records to [redacted] with no response. I would like to get this solved as quickly as possible.

It is very deceitful that we were targeted and sought out because we were engaged and a free trip was offered, which was going to be our honeymoon, if we purchased any of their merchandise. I hope this company truly looks at our situation and is willing to accommodate us since we were lied to our faces about their trip that they were advertising.

Sincerely,

Review: My fianc and I went to a seminar after we won a prize from a wedding expo. The salesman at the seminar told us that the pots and pans were designed by NASA however there is no proof of this. They also told us that the pots had copper lining all through out them when they only have a copper base. They told us that the pots and pans were made up of 24 different layers when the "layers" are actually just the composition of stainless steel. They also said that the pots and pans were made in the USA when they are actually made in China. They told us that if we were to buy a set of the pots and pans that we would get two "free" trips with no expiration dates when in fact we have to pay booking fees that are nonrefundable and both trips have expiration dates. When trying to find out the phone number of the company we found out that the company has changed their name and phone number at least 3 times, but the location has not changed. We tried contacting the salesman several times and it went straight to voicemail. He called us back once and he said that he never said any of these things.Desired Settlement: We have the pots and pans and the trips we would like to return everything to the company and we would like a refund. We are even willing to give back the prize that we got for attending the seminar. Could you offer us any help or advice on resolving this matter?

Review: We attended a bridal service presentation on some cookware back at the of 2011 and the pots are ranging in prices starting at $1000 and up so we were interested in the product and signed up for their installment plan so they would automatically draw out $100 out a month until balance was paid off and then product will be shipped. After reaching some personal issues a year after making payments I contacted them and told them to hold my last payment for shipment because the balance would be paid off because I was in the process of relocation. They were friendly and worked with me it has been more then a year now that I call and no answer I leave messages on every answering machine, I finally got through and spoke to someone and she told me she had to retrieve my file from the vault because it was placed more then a year ago so I said ok she took my information down but never got back to me. I'm concerned this company is not legit and I would like my money back that is hundreds of dollars invested I can't get a hold of anyone and they are very unprofessional. I hope you can help me with this issue.
