Champion Fuel & Service Corp Reviews (36)

Review: Champion Fuel and Service Corporation (CFS) was contracted to deliver 500 gallons of oil at a pre-paid price of $2.75 per gallon but has since failed to deliver product during the timeframe specified by CFS

Original Contract was signed and payment rendered to CFS on 11/**/14.

On Monday, 12/**/14, the customer contacted CFS ([redacted] took the call) for a delivery and was told that it would be scheduled by the end of the week.

On Friday, 12/**/14, the customer contacted [redacted] at CFS again and was told the delivery would be made the following week, 12/*/14 - 12/**/14.

By Friday, 12/**/14, delivery was still not made so customer called [redacted] again at CFS and was told the delivery would be made 12/** and that a ticket was generated for the delivery. Customer called on 12/** when delivery was not made and [redacted] at CFS said it would be made on 12/**. Mid-day on 12/**, customer called CFS and spoke to [redacted] who said that the truck had roadside troubles and could not deliver until 12/**. On 12/** - no deliveries were made, customer contact CFS to cancel contract. [redacted] at CFS said it would take 40-50 business days to return money as they would have to sell the oil that was purchased and the accounting department would then cut me a check. Customer is unwilling to wait 2 months for refund as customer is not certain that CFS would honor refund request anyway. According the CFS [redacted] page, this practice has occurred with more than 1 customer.Desired Settlement: Desired outcome by the customer is a refund of payment of $1,416.25 within 10-15 business days of CFS acknowledgement.

Sincerely,

Review: I have been without fuel oil since December *, 2014. In October 2014 I purchased 500 gallons of fuel oil. They delivered 100 gallons around October **,2014 and I have not had another delivery since. I call almost everyday and they tell me I will receive a delivery the next day. The delivery never comes. The last time I called he said he would look into it and it has been 2 hours, they are now closed, and I haven't heard a thing. I am going to run out of the diesel they provided about 10 days ago of 30 gallons. They haven't even offered more diesel!Desired Settlement: I would like to get the oil I paid for however, I will be more then happy for them to give me my CASH back that I paid them! If they are going to deliver the fuel then I would also like them to service my furnace for free since it is sucking up the sludge in the bottom of the tank!

They continue to give me a hard time every time I call. They always say that the oil will be delivered in the next couple of days and I wait and they don't come until I start yelling. If I start yelling they will sometimes deliver 50 gallons and promise they will deliver the full 100 gallons I am supposed to minimally get the following week and it never comes. These people should never be allowed to own a business!

Review: Being raised with and oil contract in wich I pre paid for 500 gallons of oil. Having to call 20 times to get a delivery of 50 gallons and in the contract it says 100-200 gallons per delivery. They were previously running under my way oil and were investigated by the states atourney genrals office for defrauding customers. They are under a new name but still up to the same old tricks!Desired Settlement: I want my money back that I paid them because they are not giving me oil or living up to the contract.

Review: Consumer Protection representative,

I’m writing you in regards to a contract my grandmother has signed with Champion Oil. In the spring of this of last year 2014 my grandmother signed a contract and paid in full for 500 gallons of oil. Since then she has been given 50 to 100 gallons at a time. Her oil has ran out three times leaving her without heat and having to call a plumber to get the furnace up and running after running dry. We have been simply been asking for the remaining 150 gallons of fuel that is owed. We are fed up and ready to take legal action if this issue is not resolved. Myself and my mother have called and called being promised the oil we have paid for with no delivery. We have been told time and time again we would receive our oil and still we have not. This matter could mean LIFE OR DEATH for my grandmother. She is ** years old and cannot take care of this matter on her own.

It is clear to me that Champion Oil is a dirty company ripping off the weak and vulnerable with a deal too good to be true. We need this problem to be resolved immediately and we will see to that the proprietors of this business pay.

My grandmother is the widow of a [redacted].

It disgust me, that my grandmother has to deal with such vultures in her old age, Crooked business owners looking to take advantage and cheat the weak and vulnerable out of their money and worst off forcing them to sit alone in their cold, unheated homes in the middle of the winter.

I have faith that there are still people in the local government that care and wish for a better tomorrow for their loved ones, imagine this was your grandmother. What would you do?

Grandchild of,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: We desire our remaining fuel be delivered and cost of repairs due to our furnace running empty be covered.

Review: I prepaid $1467.75 for 500 gallons of oil at a rate of $2.85 per gallon on 9-**-2014. I was promised prompt and quick service to deliver oil. After weeks and daily calls since October 2014, I have received only 200 gallons with great difficulty. The office person promises that the oil will be delivered tomorrow, next day, next week, within 2 weeks, and very soon and so on. During my DAILY calls to their office I get many excuses like, our trucks are in for repairs, truck broke down, driver sick, weather, will be there tomorrow, will be there by friday, will definitely be there on Monday, a ticket has been created for delivery tomorrow and many many more excuses. I complained to one of the owners but no one seems to care. They twice delivered only 50 gallons each time and said they were running short on oil. One oil ticket had incribed Truck out of oil., etc. THEY ARE NOT DELIVERING OIL.

I have requested (always politely) that as a good loyal prepaid customer I should atleast have the courtesy to get oil as a priority.

Today (January [redacted]) they are not answering and the recording says mail box is full. I called 3 times and also tried to FAX but no luck.

I would like them to deliver the remaining 298 gallons of fuel, or the balance of money for the 298 gallons ($849.30 + 3% tax)

I am requesting Revdex.com to please intervene on my behalf and have them either deliver the oil or return the balance due.

Thank you.

Review: I pre-paid for fuel oil services late 2014. I signed a contract stating they would clean my boiler, be available to me 24/7 if anything happens and deliver oil regularly. There were so many categories to select on the nature of the complaint. I have every email in writing and have told them numerous times that I was going to make a complaint. They do not care. I signed the contract and am stuck with them until the end. They have never delivered oil the day they said they would. The customer service is rude and unreliable. The [redacted] has excuses for is manager Mike who is a liar and makes promises to customers and then just doesn't follow through. I know of 2 other customers that have actually ran out of oil. They only deliver 50 to 100 gallons. They refuse to deliver 200 gallons even though that states it in the contract that they will deliver 100 to 200 gallons. They told me that they would cancel with my previous company and didn't and then lied about it. Everytime I get upset then they get very verbal back. I am so upset and disappointed that they are even allowed to do this to people. I have a son that was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and god forbid I run out of oil and something happen to him. They came and cleaned my boiler and the guys left oil rings on my rug and they said nothing. Not sure what else and where else to go.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would like them to deliver the 200 gallons of oil promised and then I can finish my contract up with them. That would get me through a long stretch and I would not have to monitor my oil tank and their business. I would love to get my money back but they already told me no. Please let me know what else I can do. Thank you!

My dad lives with me and he is **, I have a small child and this is outrageous. I've been had. This has to stop. God knows how many are in the same boat. Please help.

I am seeking a full refund.iDesired Settlement: I want my money back for services not delivered. Left in the cold.

I was contacted, weeks too late. I had already paid another company, yet again, for fuel because Champion was unreasonably late with delivery. Once they came without warning they could only fill 40 gallons, as my tank was full. I would like to end my relationship with them but it seems impossible, since they choose to do business in this terrible fashion. They assume you are ok with small amounts of fuel from time to time.

Sincerely,

Review: I had called to order fuel oil. I just wanted my tank filled. The salesman talked me into signing a contract and pre paying for 500 gallons of fuel at a discounted price. He came to my house and I signed the contract which in sum and substance states that they would deliver between 100 and 200 gallons of fuel on an automatic delivery basis and that the contract was for 1 year. I paid them $1125 in cash and the salesman looked at my tank and we both agreed it was low and that I needed a delivery ASAP. They did not deliver fuel immediately and I ran out. They came and delivered 50 gallons, stating that was all they had on the truck and that they'd be back later in the week to top off my tank. After two weeks I called to remind them and they assured me they'd be there. I ran out again and they again delivered 50 gallons. After another 2 weeks I ran out agian after calling numerous times and them promising to deliver. I ran out a third time and they delivered 10 gallons on a Saturday and promised they'd be there on Monday to deliver 150 gallons. They never came on Monday and when I called on Tuesday I told them they broke the contract and the person told me they had 1 year to deliver my oil and their lawyers told them blah, blah, blah. I told them I wanted my money back and I'm just getting the run around. I had to pay extra money to get an oil company to deliver oil to my house so I don't run out yet again.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded and I want it in cash immediately. I do not trust a check from them since they can't even give me my product I paid for.

Review: Fuel company delivered 1/2 my oil and cashed check for entire delivery. They never returned to deliver the 100 gallons of oil.Desired Settlement: I want back my $229.90 immediately so I can order oil from someone else

Review: On 12/**/14 I placed an order for 200 gallons of fuel. They said they would come and drop a partially delivery charge me the full amount and then come the next week to deliver the remaining balance. They delivered 75 gallons and have not been back for the remaining balance. When I called to find out when they would be there they said they would be there and I would have enough to make it though until I receive the balance. Well they did not show up and we ran out of fuel. They delivered 10 gallons of diesel and said they would be there later that day. They never showed up I called to find out when they would be there they said my ticket was on the they truck will be there tomorrow we ran out I had to put in the diesel myself. Over the next 3 days of them not showing out I had to put diesel fuel in my tank. They came out on Saturday because we ran out again they put in another 10 gallons of diesel and said they would be there Monday. I asked them if they were working because Monday was a holiday. They said yes. Well that Monday I called them every two hours because they said they were calling me back with information about my delivery. They never showed up and I found out at the 5th phone call that they were not working that day. After all day I was told that they were fielding emergency calls and they were trying to get in touch with the drivers. I found out that they were not even working. LIES always LIES. Now no fuel no one showing up and here I go again having to put fuel in my tank because of this unreliable company. Every time I call it is they are trying to get in touch with the driver, the truck ran out of fuel, they are working around the clock and short handed, we will get someone out there you are the priority, they are fielding emergency calls. I told them I wanted my money back to get someone who will actually show up. They said they do not work that way I can not even count the amount of times I have called them. They do not care about their customers at all. This was the first time dealing with the company I would not recommend them to anyone stay away from them. They are the worst it is worth the extra money to go somewhere else. This company takes your money and does not deliver. After reading the complaints this seems like a pattern. Give me money back or come and give me the rest of my delivery its not that difficult.,

At this time, I have not been contacted by Champion Fuel & Service Corp regarding complaint ID [redacted]I have been in contact with them on more times then what I can count they came and delivered more fuel but they still owe me. When the driver showed up he told me that they would give me 40 gallons of fuel being that I spent additional $150.00 having to put fuel in the tank myself because we kept running out. Well they never showed but that is not supprising. They still owe me from original delivery I placed back on 12/**/14 plus the additional amount they said they would give me total of 40 gallons. This company is ridiculousSincerely,[redacted]

Review: My wife placed an order on 10/**/14 for 300 gallons of oil at a cost of $869.70. She was told that delivery would be between Monday to Friday of the following week (10/**/-10/**/14) and to leave a check on the door. Our delivery did not come as we were told, so my wife placed a call on 10/** and was informed that delivery would be delayed until no later than 11/**. On 11/** she spoke with a rep. who said that they would not be able to come. After some back and forth the rep. agreed to deliver 100 gallons. We did receive 100 gallons and our check for the full total was taken(11/**). I called the rep. again to inquire when I would receive the rest of my fuel, and why there was oil spilled and not cleaned up? I was told the rest would come on Thursday and somebody would have to come look at the spillage. I said I would clean the mess, but was assured my check would not be cashed until I received the rest of my order. On Thursday (11/**) my fuel was not delivered, but my check was cashed. Again we contacted the rep. on 11/**, who said he would let us know when are fuel was coming and that it was the billing departments fault our check was cashed. Now we've been told our fuel should be here by this afternoon. Its been 15 days since we ordered and we continue to get the run around.Desired Settlement: Honor their commitments

Review: I noticed that I was charged twice for an oil delivery on consecutive days (4/** and 4/**) for $533.64 each time. I called the company in order to find out what had happened. They said that they had to investigate what had happened and it would take a few days. After two weeks of not having heard back from them, I took the initiative to call them in order to find out what had happened. They had said that yes, an error had occurred and that they owed me money. Instead of receiving a refund, I asked for an oil delivery since I had already paid for it. After another 3 weeks, I called them and the [redacted] said that he was down some drivers and that I'm not able to be scheduled for a delivery any time soon. So instead of the delivery, I then asked for a refund check. He said that he needed to put the request through the billing department. The next day he called, saying he had put in the request. After another two weeks, I called him again and he said that the check had been put into the mail and that if I had not received the check by the following week, he would personally deliver the check to me. After another week, I called him again saying that there is still no check. He said he will deliver the next day. Since then, 5 days have passed and still no check. I called the credit card company and have put the charges in dispute.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from the company and the interest on the charges paid back.

Review: I ordered home heating oil from Champion fuel. I provided credit card information and they billed me $498.88 but did not deliver fuel. I have called several times, and spoke to [redacted], who understands the error but never issues a credit to my credit card. This has been going on for a monthDesired Settlement: Champion should issue a credit in the amount of $498.88 to my credit card.

Sincerely,

Review: On December **, 2014, my husband and I signed a contract with Champion in which we gave them $1125.00 plus a check for $150.00. This locked us in for 500 gallons of fuel oil at $2.25 per gallon. Plus a one year service contract. I called for oil on Wednesday, January **, 2015 at 4 PM and left a message. I called again on January **, 2015. I let them know that I was at a quarter of a tank and required a delivery. I was told that I would have a delivery the following week. I called on January **, 2015 to inquire as to when I would receive the delivery. I was told by Wednesday (1/**/15). When I did not receive a delivery on Wednesday, I called and was told that due to the snow that week they were a day behind on deliveries, I should have something on Thursday (1/**/15) of that same week. I left a message on Friday because I still had not received a delivery. I did not receive a call back. I called this morning (2/*/2015) and spoke with [redacted]. I let him know the situation and told him our tank was at the empty line. He instructed me to call him tomorrow between the hours of 8 and 9 AM and he would "get me some oil". I said I would like my tank filled when they came. He said that he could not guarantee that because he did not know what the schedule was for tomorrow. I asked what happened to the schedule last week. He said he could not answer that.Desired Settlement: I am having some serious trust issues with this company and would like ALL of our money refunded.

Review: They were so fast to take my money and haven't done anything yet. I ran out of fuel after calling them for a couple weeks "which have been very cold for the past couple weeks" They proceed to tell me they are coming. I pre paid for 500 gallons of house heating oil for $2.25 a gallon ($1,125.00 CASH)Long story short I ran out of fuel and then they came in a little car and delivered 15 gallons so they so.. Not a fuel print out receipt either, little weird. They won't return my calls. I get nowhere! I want my money back and they keep talking their way around it. Went up to their office and truck sits in the yard not running during During their regular business hours. As I was there I ran into a lady saying she paid $1250 and haven't received anything as their doors are locked. When I signed the contract with them they came and delivered 75 gallons and spilled fuel oil all over my brand-new driveway.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded 410 gallons worth of fuel.. What I deserve.. What should e the correct way when operating a business.
