In response to his final request, we are willing to honor the following:1. Your screens have been in our warehouse waiting to be installed. Per your collaboration with our services team, you have a scheduled date of Dec. 4th to complete this service item.2. Your warranty is still in effect and will not change. You have a lifetime warranty per your contract. 3. All other open items have been communicated via phone and agreed upon. Champion feels that we have resolved his open questions/requests and this can be closed. Thank you,

Champion promised to install a/c-heating unit.  However, we are not on their schedule.  Please ask Champion to place us on their schedule.

I just wanted to let you know that a $50 gift card was mailed out today for [redacted], complaint ID [redacted].

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I never have said that I was happy with the installation of the product, the inexperience, and incompetency of the installation technicians. Nor have I been impressed with the lack of communication from this company, or how they have handled my window installation project. This was to be a simple one to two day job on a single level 900 square foot ranch home, with simple sash windows! The initial crew walked off of the job the second day, leaving two windows uncompleted, and the coil trim looking like a child had installed it. I had to contact Champion Windows since no one returned to complete the job, let alone call me to let me know what was going on. All that I signed off on was: That [redacted], the Technician, had come and completed the three window trim recaps, to match the other ten windows, and had re-caulked the windows, where gaps had appeared, and re-appeared. [redacted] also ordered the replacement window screens, of which I am still waiting on. I only acknowledged that the window product itself was satisfactory, and that if n had it to do all over again, it would certainly not be with Champion Windows, nor will I Ever Recommend Champion Window to anyone, as long as I live! I was told that there was an insurance adjuster assigned to my case, and that they would be in touch with me in about a week. This apparently was a lie, and a stall tactic, and I have not heard anything back from Champion Windows, or their so-called "Insurance Adjuster". Don't figure... Further more, There was no prior existing damage to my interior window frames, or cracks in the new walls, texture, and paint. [redacted], and his construction crew will all attest to this fact. I am still repairing damage caused by this awful experience. I have spent $50,000 on the interior of my house, over the last two years. Champion Windows needs to take responsibility for there faults. I will make it simple,m since Champion Windows does not want to make a counter offer, or send there insurance adjuster to deal with this! Here are my requests: I want a Formal Written Apology from Champion Windows of Fort Worth, And Acknowledgement of the said apology from Champion Windows Corporate Offices. I want my replacement window screens installed on my windows. Acknowledgement that the "Lifetime Warranty" is not to fix incompetency, and inexperience in installation. Freedom to express my my experience with Champion Windows Openly, and at My Discretion, on social media, and otherwise, without the fear of Retaliation of any sort from Champion Windows Corporation, and, or, Champion Windows of Fort Worth. And last, but not least: $1000.00 Cash Refund, in the form of a cashiers check, or money order. I will then call the financial institution financing my window project, and release the balance of the funds agreed upon.
Regards,
[redacted]

I am concerned that the inspector won't come to actually see the sunroom.  Also, Champion is putting their own slant to the problem in order to avoid doing anything.  Also, Champion never said what the company would do if the inspector did not approve the plans of putting in a/c.   There are enough complaints to start a class action suit against Champion.  However, that is the one thing I wish to avoid at this time....BUT if nothing is done to help us, that might be our only chance of remedy.   I want the inspector to come to view this problem.   [redacted]

We have started the project ran into a small issue and overnighted product to complete. We expect to be done this week if the rains hold out long enough for us to get out there.

We were able to get this complaint resolved back in December and believe that Mrs. [redacted] is now happy.

I had three window companies give me bids to do my windows, and went with the middle bid. From the start, I was not initially informed about additional costs, which were amended at a later time. This should have been the first red flag of what was to come, and is still ongoing. Additional cost can...

be added and discussed based on the need of the project. Mr. [redacted] additional needs were communicated and agreed upon prior to any onsite installation. The customer request to have each window with coil wrap. Additional the customers house tested positive for lead. An addendum was added as a result of his request and added $1400 to the original contract. The first window crew managed to come in, and remove interior trim that should have never been removed (I can appreciate Mr. [redacted] feelings regarding to his trim being removed against his desire. The wood trim was removed as a result of it not being in serviceable condition due to aging and environmental elements. The installers onsite determine the extent of the removal based on those conditions.), which in turn, caused significant window frame damage (Customers statement does not have pictures to back up his claim, should pictures been provided or install halted as a result of this claim, I would have addressed this accordingly.), which I ended up having to repair at my expense, and labor to fill, and repaint the non matching replacement trim that Champion installed (Per our contract, Champion is not responsible for paint/stain/touch ups as a result of the install) , thus leaving three windows, untouched, with original trim. There were also severe pry marks from trim removal (Customer failed to halt install and provide pictures for this claim). The first crew dis not even complete the job, and never showed up again. I did not even receive a phone call from Champion Windows! I had to call them. Don't Figure. Another technician came out to replace the broken interior trim, and even asked me: Why did they take that trim off? There is no reason to remove this trim. The first crew attempted to coil wrap my window frames. Wrong materials used (the installers ran out of coil wrap and was unable to finish 2 windows as a result of shortage we returned to finish the coil wraps on the remaining 2 windows.)  Inexperienced, and Shoddy workmanship. Looked terrible. Improperly installed, and not calked properly. (The windows were caulked with standard caulking. After the install of the coil wraps and caulking, the customer requested a color change. The color the customer requested was not a standard color and had to be ordered to meet this need.) Did not finish two windows, and bailed out on the job, never to be seen again.(Not sure how this statement is in alignment with our shortage and return to finish the coiling of the remaining two windows.)  My drier was outside for a week, and a half (Per our contract customer is responsible for all internal contents of their home, Champion had no dealings with his drier as a result of this install.). I could not even wash, and dry my clothes. Second attempt at coil wrapping the windows, Three windows do not match the rest of the windows ( The local supplier that provided the remaining coil for the last two windows was incorrectly boxed. Champion received the coil and finished the 2 remaining windows.). Missed, and improper calking (This statement is open to interpretation, the caulking that was applied to create a seal between the stucco and the coil wraps at times need to have an additional application(s). Stucco is not friendly with caulk and as a result of that, we went back onsite and address those additional needs.) Window stop fell of inside the kitchen window (Due to the age of the home, it is not out of the ordinary for the interior stop to come loose at time of removal and replacement of this window. This was repaired and no other action was needed.). Two window screens do not fit at all (The windows came from the manufacturing plant and appeared to be loose fitting at the install. We have since placed a replacement order for the two window screens. No other action needed other then to install once they arrive.) . Two weep holes behind from manufacturing. It would not have compromised the functionality of the window as a result of the materials still being there.) (Customer believes the weep holes were not drilled out completely. I was a matter of utilizing a razor blade to clean up the additional millimeter of material left, one fell out, one broken. one missing (These items are small in comparison to the window, they can be damaged in transit and other environmental scenarios, once brought to our attention, we replaced those items). We are now going on the Fifth Week, Third, and Final attempt at rectifying this situation. I have now been threatened by the supervisor, to have legal action taken against me, for a job, that has yet to be done properly, let alone completed at all five weeks later, for a: "One to Two Day Job". Due to the age of this home and some unforeseeable circumstance of material delays and customer last minute requests to change colors, Champion attempted to uphold this “One to Two Day Job”. Champion also understand that the customer needed to take additional time off of work, and has presented a one time concession as a result of this outside of standard expectations.  Per the contract that Mr. [redacted] has signed and agreed upon, we have completed all items. The open items that he wishes to be taken care of, are considered service needs. Per the contract Mr. [redacted] is not eligible for service needs until the contract is paid in full.  Mr. [redacted] signed our completion certificate well before he decide to initiate a complaint regarding the service items listed above. Per our contract that he signed, he did not mention any additional needs or desire per this project. He then call the financing company and halted payment the following day. Mr [redacted] also signed off on the final payment to be released as a result of completion of the project. He has failed to release the funds even though Champion has gone above and beyond to address these service items before securing 100 percent payment. The only outstanding items that need to be addressed is to install the replacement screens. I can appreciate Mr. [redacted]s attention to detail and the ability to work with him to resolve these items, but he is not upholding his part of the contract which could result in legal action per the contract.   The customer is happy with the product, happy with the install, has signed off on the contract and authorized the release of remaining funds. Champion has fielded all his calls, continued to go onsite to address even the smallest of concerns and even did this prior to the contract final payment being secured. We ask that Mr. [redacted] uphold his part of the contract and release funding. This project did span over 5 weeks however the total time that it took to address these open items only consisted of 8) total working days Champion has reached out to this customer and taken into account all of the items listed above and the request for compensation. The financial concession the customer is requesting is well above the agreed upon concession of $658 dollars. This concession was not applied because we cannot make changes due to the hold on the account. This one time concession was based on the additional loss in work and consideration for material delays and other unforeseeable items. It is however unfortunate that material delays and ever changing scope of work requested by the customer did delay the completion outside of our original commitments. The remaining items the customer is upset about are all items that the customer acknowledged was his responsibility to paint/stain/touch up. Mr. [redacted] also initialled a “Window Contract Addendum” that states he is responsible for blinds/shutters/pre-existing conditons/trim replacement to be left for paint by customer.  Mr. [redacted]’s contract also allows for a lifetime warranty for this project, we invite Mr. [redacted] to utilize this valuable component of his contract once he has fulfilled payment. I will make the $658 concession with the financing company once Mr. [redacted] releases the hold.
