Champion has ordered the replacement window sash and will install under our lifetime warranty and service agreement at no charge to the homeownerThis is the first Champion has been notified of any damage to the premisesAny damage caused by our service technician will be corrected Unfortunately the homeowner has not be cooperative with our service department when trying to schedule and perform service often hanging up or refusing access to their home When the Division Manager called the customer they refused to talk to him and stated that the corporate office was handling everything and they did not need the Columbus officeChampion will contact the homeowner when the new window sash arrives and try to see if they will allow access to the home to install the new sash and take pictures of any damage for repair

Customer entered into a contract for made to order custom windows On October 2, After the required day right to cancel period expired at midnight on October 5th, Champion measured windows on October 6th and ordered windows on October 8thChampion did not receive any written notification from the customer that she wanted to amend or cancel any part of the contract to which she entered into on October All Champion agreements require written notification of cancellation within days of the date of the contract and this disclosure and procedure is clearly written on every contract As a good will gesture, Champion agreed to credit the homeowner the cost of making the window in questionThis amount was removed from the final invoiceBecause the window is a custom made to order product, designed and manufactured specifically for this homeowner, Champion expects the homeowner to honor her remaining contractual agreement with the company

I am rejecting this response because: I do not believe it should take over a year to get the correct window Why hasn't my order been given a priority? Is it because they are replacement windows and I am not paying for them? I believe I have been more than patient with this extreme case of negligence on the part of Champion Windows Regards, [redacted]

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

the sales person assured me that our first choice location on an existing pad was adequateA few days later a person came out and measured the existing pad snd assured me that thesite was adequate Later someone came out and told me we could not install on a flat padThat the room would weigh pounds Instead I offered to place footers in a new location in the back of the house The only requirements were footers below the frost line I had to call a half dozen times to get measurement of the footers And had to ask weather they were inside outside or mid block of the footer They gave me the outside edge measurements in inches Then the crew showed up to install and said the footer was more like a garage not for there room I showed the installer my contract and asked where it said the footer had to be poured concreteIt didn't and that is the last time I saw my contractI took out the rope row of blocks and poured concrete and no one from the company had been there sinceIn june of I wrote and asked for my money back A week later I received architecitrural drawings When the whole for the footer was open I called and asked if they wanted to inspect the footer holeI was told there is no need for inspectionsI also asked if someone from the state needed to inspect the footer before we poured concrete I was again told there are no permits, there is no inspection required When the installers came the claimed to have my windows and the frames on their pickup truck I told them I would pay the $15,payment if they left the materials They did not Regards, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] is correctWe have had difficulty with her final window service sashChampion has ordered a new replacement sash at no charge as per her warranty and will install the new sash when it arrives from out factory

Glad to hear that our insurance provider has made arrangement to pay for the repairsIf Mrs *** can provide us the repair bill we will gladly pay any difference or credit her remaining balance additionally from what we have already discounted

I am rejecting this response because: Originally the company salesperson said my pad on the west side of the house was satisfactory, Then when the second person came out he said I could build a pad in the rear of the house on the south side, I had called and asked the company to send an inspector, and received no response I had called contractors recommended by the Champion and they would not even come out to bid on the project I guess I would have to see what the contractor now proposes however I have lost all confidence in the companyI do not have a copy of the original contract anymore ( I contend that their installers took my copy) I do not understand why Champion will not deliver the Materials and windows to my site and allow me to hire the installation at the 2nd installment price. This offer to have thet contractors build a new footer is empty and unfounded If I accepted this offer I believe I would be in the same position in the near future.

Champion has been in contact with the city of Columbus to clear up the mis-understanding with the Building InspectorThe City was under the impression we were building a room with a roof which is not the caseWe are installing windows and enclosing a previously built roof which we have done for
yearsUnfortunately this requires an appeal process for which we are currently working throughChampion will keep homeowner informed as details unfold

Champion will replace the window as per his warrantyOnce the new sash is received into our warehouse we will contact the homeowner to schedule the replacement now that he has agreed to allow us to do so

They haven't discounted anything They said I would owe the full amount and I'm still waiting to here back from the insurance company after submitting my estimate

Champion is unable to install our engineered Patio Room at either the back of the home, where the pad does not meet our required engineering specifications, or at the side location where the ground is unstableChampion would be more than happy to design and contract with our concrete contractor to install a pad that would meet our requirements if the homeowner would agree to this requirement

It's been almost weeks and I still have not heard from their insurance company like they said I would

We have never refused entrance to the houseThe damage to the house is very minor and I welcome an inspector to come and look at itIt has been weeks since the last time someone came to install a window and the new one was orderedI would appreciate a call to set up a time to install the new windowMy main objective is just to replace my window

Champion had to remove the sill when installing the new replacement windows and damaged the marble sillWe take full responsibility and have sent a claim to our insurance company for a replacement sill at no charge to the customer

Champion entered into a Contractual agreement to engineer, build and construct a 3 season Patio Room. Our Patio Rooms are engineered custom built rooms specific to the site plans determined by our Installation and Building Teams. These measurements and site location documents are sent to our...

engineers who design our rooms. Under our agreement Mr [redacted] requested and was allowed to choose a concrete contractor and work directly with his preferred contractor to install the footers and concrete pad on the location chosen by the homeowner. Champion gave Mr [redacted] the requirements for the concrete footers and pad in order to meet our engineering specifications. Champion measured for the room, ordered the engineering design and material to be manufactured. When Mr [redacted] contacted Champion to inform us that the concrete was completed we scheduled an inspection of the site to approve the concrete pad and footers. Upon inspection Mr [redacted] had his concrete contractor use cinder block foundation and poured concrete pad above gravel base in a different location, essentially rendering our site plans, engineering documents and material useless. Champion agreed to work with Mr [redacted] to reconfigure our engineering documents and site plans. Unfortunately Mr [redacted] was not willing to install a concrete footered pad to meet our engineering requirement so the project was cancelled as per our contract terms.

the sales person assured me that our first choice location on an existing pad was adequate. A few days later a person came out and measured the existing pad snd assured me that thesite was adequate.  Later someone came out and told me we could not install on a flat pad. That the room would weigh 600 pounds.  Instead I offered to place footers in a new location in the back of the house.  The only requirements were footers below the frost line.   I had to call a half dozen times to get measurement of the footers.  And had to ask weather they were inside outside or mid block of the footer.  They gave me the outside edge measurements in inches.  Then the crew showed up to install and said the footer was more like a garage not for there room.  I showed the installer my contract and asked where it said the footer had to be poured concrete. It didn't and that is the last time I saw my contract. I took out the rope row of blocks and poured concrete and no one from the company had been there since. In june of 2015 I wrote and asked for my money back.  A week later I received architecitrural drawings.   When the whole for the footer was open I called and asked if they wanted to inspect the footer hole. I was told there is no need for inspections. I also asked if someone from the state needed to inspect the footer before we poured concrete.  I was again told there are no permits, there is no inspection required.  When the installers came the claimed to have my windows and the frames on their pickup truck.  I told them I would pay the $15,000 payment if they left the materials.  They did not.

Mrs [redacted] signed a contract with Champion to manufacture windows for her home. Mrs [redacted] has refused to allow us to install the custom window made for her home. If Mrs [redacted] will allow us to install the window we will make the necessary arrangements to do so.

from the customer that she wanted to amend or cancel any part of the contract to which she entered into on October 2. All Champion agreements require written notification of cancellation within 3 days of the date of the contract and this disclosure and procedure is clearly written on every contract.  As a good will gesture, Champion agreed to credit the homeowner the cost of making the window in question. This amount was removed from the final invoice. Because the window is a custom made to order product, designed and manufactured specifically for this homeowner, Champion expects the homeowner to honor her remaining contractual agreement with the company.
