Chase Receivables Reviews (37)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Thank you.
Sincerely, [redacted]

Chase Receivables is in receipt of the consumer's rejection to our Revdex.com complaint response.
To the extent a response is warranted with regard to the point Ms. [redacted] raises about the Statute of Limitations, we would offer that merely because an account is out of statute does not mean it cannot be worked by a debt collection agency.
To the extent a response is warranted with regard to the point Ms. [redacted] raises about credit reporting, Chase Receivables does not credit report for the original creditor in question.

Ms [redacted]
Chase Receivables is in receipt of your dispute dated May 09, 2017, with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com). In your dispute, you explain that you believe a credit reported trade-line should be deleted because you have satisfied your debt obligation. You claim Chase Receivables is...

unethical for not deleting this trade-line.
Chase Receivables has had the opportunity to conduct an internal investigation in to these claims, and can share with you the following results. Our records confirm that on January 11, 2013, an account in your name was placed with our office from our client, California Sports and Orthopedic, in the amount of $56.47, for a date of service July 02, 2012. On December 28, 2012, a formal demand letter was mailed to you informing you that the account had been placed in collections. In addition, multiple attempts were made to reach you by telephone; however, no contact was made with you until January 11, 2017. At this time, the account was paid in full and a paid in full letter was mailed on January 12, 2017.
A reviewing of the phone recording supports your exact statement, that the agent you spoke with indicated your credit report would be "updated." There was no mention of a deletion in exchange for your payment, which by the way would be illegal. Chase Receivables takes very seriously our compliance with local and federal laws that govern our business, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We can confirm that the account was reported accurately, both prior to and subsequent to your payment. We are under no obligation to delete a trade-line which has been reported, and in fact have a duty to report an accurate credit profile.
As a courtesy to you at this time, and as a courtesy to our client, we have requested the credit reporting agencies remove the trade-line in question. This is in no way an admission of wrong-doing or guilt, and in fact Chase Receivables asserts to have acted in accordance with all applicable rules, laws, and regulations during the attempted collection and subsequent credit reporting of this debt.
Thank you,
Chase Receivables Mgmt

The "[redacted]" represented in this instance is not a medical doctor; it is a direct marketing periodical which sells "consumer wellness and beauty products" to the public, as identified by their website: [redacted]

If the consumer in this instance would take the time to speak with one of our account represents via telephone, instead of repeatedly hanging up, we would be more than inclined to educate the consumer related specifically to the details of the account.
In lieu thereof, this account has been placed on hold and an itemized statement will be provided.
Chase Receivables is not a "scam" as this consumer repeatedly insists; we are an accounts receivable management firm having been in business since 1953.
Thank you

Further, you have alleged that you have never received correspondence from
our company related to this account. Our notes indicate that we have previously

[Your Answer Here]
I have not received any correspondence from Chase regarding my complaint. The only  business that I have heard from is the Revdex.com. I also called my medical plan, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield and they have not yet sent me the paperwork. I was assured that I will be at this time receiving it within 7 to 10 days. I again tried to reach this company by phone, however the number does not work. After thinking this matter over I believe that this a scam perpetrated against the elderly. Please advise me what to do now.Thank you[redacted]

This agency continues to call my phone day and night. They were advised that the hospital bill was paid months ago (to the hospital)when I spoke to them. I told financial services in the hospital that they keep calling and they advised me to ignore them. They continue to harass the peace in my home with incessant phone calls. I will start a harassment lawsuit against this agency if they don't stop.

Review: This evening, we got an automated call asking us to call [redacted] concerning our Chase account. I had recently had a card used fraudulently, so I called. Linda answered and was able to see that my phone number was called and asked me to verify some personal information. I tried to ask questions about why she was calling and she states she cannot answer without my information. When I refused because I don't know what this business is, she hung up. I called back and asked for a supervisor and spoke with Keith. He too began asking for personal information. I explained that they called me and I don't know what kind of business this is nor why they are calling. He stated that if I won't verify personal information he will not talk with me. Both Linda and Keith were rude and in my opinion, unprofessional. In a day and time where you see identity theft and in the news to not give information out of you don't know to whom you are speaking with, this was very upsetting. I still do not know why the call was made nor what they needed to talk with me about. To my knowedge, I have never gotten mail from this company. To my knowledge, I have no business with this company.Desired Settlement: This company needs to consider a change in policy. First, if there is business to conduct do not have a phone tree call and expect you to call back. Then, if you do call back, they can verify the number. Do they think someone else is returning your calls? They need to give you a certain amount of information before expecting you to give out personal information. In the times we live in it is hard to trust others and you cannot give your personal information out if you don't know to whom or why you are giving it.

Review: I was treated and miss diagnosed at Houston Methodist West Hospital Emergency Room on 1/**/14. I went into the ER having trouble breathing, the staff was very inexperienced (in training) and incompetent (in my opinion). I was released after many tests and many mishaps during the tests. I have pictures. A couple weeks later during a routine chest x-ray was informed that I had some broken ribs. I informed the ER that I had fallen on 1/*/14. Broken ribs should have been something they looked for and suspected I might have from my symptoms. But that didn't happen. I sent a letter informing the hospital I was not going to pay for an incorrect diagnosis and treatment. Really there was not treatment, they just sent me home. I disputed the ER doctor bill, and they cleared my account. I also received a letter from the hospital stating that my account had been zeroed out with no balance owed. Now a year and a half later I start getting calls from a collection agency, Chase Receivables.Desired Settlement: Clear account and no further phone calls.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I received a call February **, 2015 from Chase collections notifying me that I owed $659.65 after a [redacted] procedure that I had at [redacted]'s office 6/*/14. I never received any bills from the doctor's billing office ([redacted]/ [redacted] financial services) nor from Chase collections; therefore, I didn't know about the outstanding amount. When I asked more questions, the collections agent admitted that I would have not received the notices because they were returned to sender unopened.

On March *, 2015 I asked for a copy of the bill/ letter that was sent to be mailed to me at my work address, so that I could have some proof of this bill before paying. I never received anything via mail nor any follow up calls to date.

Note: I got a service called [redacted] involved to help me sort out the situation, and as of April **, their representative is still trying to track down the bill. I have not heard any updates.Desired Settlement: I would like a billing statement or letter that has the following details:

- Name of service

- Amount of service

- Name of doctor

- Name and address of doctor's billing office ([redacted]/ [redacted])

- Name and address of collections agency (Chase receivables)

I would like this faxed or emailed to me because to date I have never received a piece of mailed correspondence from Chase or the doctor's billing office. I'm happy to provide this and any other information that is helpful offline.

I need this letter before I can pay, because I need proof of service before I can be reimbursed by my insurance provider.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Review: I received a letter last week from Chase Receivables stating that I owed them $253.60 for services provided by [redacted] on 8/**/2012. My account in their record is [redacted]. I never received a bill from this doctor's office nor did I know that I owe this amount. When I called Chase Receivables, they told me that the insurance company did cover for a portion of the service but that there is $253.60 that I am responsible for. But when I called my insurance company, they told me that they never received a claim from this doctor's office or made such a payment to this office and told me to get a claim number from them. When I called Chase Receivables back for the claim number, they told me that they don't have the information. Based on the amount of complaints (both in NY and CA which is where their headquarters are based at), I felt uncomfortable sending them the money until I can confirm that they are legitimate. I also tried to call [redacted] and asked to speak with the billing department, even though the lady who answered the phone said "dept of anesthesiology", she said that [redacted] is no longer in business and that she can give me the number for Chase Receivables.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the original billing statement that has the doctor's name who provided the services, the original billing amount, the date that they received the payment from my insurance company and the amount that the insurance had paid.
