The state of Illinois requires that we collect a copy of a customer's state issued ID along with their Firearm Owner's ID card before shipping ammunition to them [redacted] resides in Illinois and was attempting to purchase ammunition so we requested that information from herUnfortunately, we aren't sure why we haven't received the documents from [redacted] We have tested and are consistently receiving faxes on the number she provided We are also receiving mail on a daily basis to the PO BoxIt is in our best interest to quickly process any faxes or mail received Prompt service helps us maintain long term relationships with customersWe can only suggest that she email a copy to us at [redacted] since we seem to be having difficulties receiving the faxWe're sorry to hear that she is having trouble providing the documentation and hope to resolve it soon

We regret the situation that Mr [redacted] has encountered and sincerely apologize to him for the inconvenience We are exploring better ways to prevent this from occurring in the future The LR ammunition that he was attempting to order is in high demand and short supply When we are able to acquire some, notices go out to thousands of people who have requested in-stock alerts In a very short period of time many people do as Mr [redacted] did and place multiple orders online and over the phone for all of the available inventory Our inventory syncing process has difficulty keeping up with a huge influx of orders received at the same time for the same product In Mr [redacted] ’s case, it resulted in him ordering an item that had already been sold out Again, we apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused and are working to prevent it from happening in the future

After reviewing Mr [redacted] purchase, we have confirmed that our company has only debited his account and received payment once for $ If Mr [redacted] can provide additional proof of the additional transactions, we will be more than happy to look further into the matterThis could possibly be an issue that he might need to direct to his financial institute for assistance All of our firearms are shipped to a Federal Firearms License holder as required by lawThe background check is performed at the FFL location in order to complete the transferWe have never sold or intend to sell firearms without following the proper procedures required by law / [redacted] Style Definitions */

Per [redacted] 's request, the order was canceled after her conversation with Customer Service on January 30, A full refund was issued immediately as she requested

response to Mr*** compliant, our policy to not allow returns on firearms
does not violate any consumer laws. Due to a number of reasons, once a consumer
takes possession of a firearm we do not allow returns. This policy is clearly
communicated on our website as outlined
in Mr*** complaint In instances
of mistakes to the description of a product, Cheaper Than Dirt! does it’s best
to resolve the error as the facts dictate and within our
ability.
Upon
further research of Mr*** order, we found that the firearm he ordered no
longer is equipped with a melonite barrel as described. The manufacturer
changed their specs and now equips it with a chrome molly barrel. We were not
aware of this change.
Mr
*** stated that he didn’t want to return the rifle, he wanted us to supply him
with the barrel that was described. That would have been the ideal resolution
for us as well. Unfortunately we don’t have a melonited barrel compatible with
his rifle and it isn’t available through the manufacturer. We offered a
commensurate refund but that offer was rejected
