Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This company claims to have no involvement whatsoeverWe have paperwork clearly proving that the company, had in fact, moved our items in November The paperwork also proves that they are underhandedly charging us fees we have already paid offThe company has failed to reimburse us for thousands of dollars for the items lost in the moveAfter numerous phone calls and endless voice messages, a representative finally got back to us concerning this matterThey admitted that they wrongfully overcharged us, and stated that we did not owe the company any such payment(they were deceitfully charging us an extra $600)All charges were droppedHowever, they still did not refund us for the items that were lost during the move(as stated in the agreement we signed with National Van Lines)We want to be paid for what was lost and stolen Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/30) */ This letter is in response to your correspondence to the Revdex.comI would like to apologize that the servicing of your shipment by National Van Lines has given you cause for concern The estimated delivery date for your shipment is scheduled for 8/4/which is within the agreed upon delivery window of 7/31/XXXX - X/5/We will continue to keep you updated You can contact our office at XXX-XXX-XXXX with any further questions or concerns regarding you [redacted] have Sincerely, [redacted] Director or Claims

This vehicle had heater hoses that were repaired by an independent mechanic (non-Chrysler)and they failed...causing the head gasket to blowWe would love to be able to fix this under warranty and we could if they would have had it fixed here originallyThis is a call from Chrysler not from our dealership.I am going to call Chrysler to see if they can fix the repair under good willI can not guarantee anything but we will try.thanks,

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The allegation made by the dealership is untrue. Like I said in my earlier e-mail, I replaced the hose after the "T" assembly broke loose and caused the vehicle to run hot. I had no idea that the head gasket had blown. I was also told that the breaking loose of the hard plastic is somewhat unusual; so the engine could have blown the head gasket which will cause the pressure to build up in the hose to the extent that the plastic "T" broke loose causing the build up in pressure. There is a strong possibly that the head gasket blowed which caused the problem. Also, I understood the gentleman at Lithia to state that chrysler made the decision not to warrant the vehicle. This is not true. I contacted Chrysler Corp. and they had no knowledge of this situation until I called them. After the call to lithia, they did go with the statement given to them by Lithia. This decision was made at the dealership, and Chrysler went along with the statement that was told to them by the Lihia Rep. Regards, [redacted]

Upon contacting Ms [redacted] we have made a financial offer to help with the expenses she enduredThe offer was accepted and a check will be sent

This customer has a lot aftermarket electronics hooked up to his vehicle causing his vehicle's battery to drainIf he would return the vehicle to factory specs we would be able to give a proper diagnosis if the problem continued...thanks,

After a review of your file, I find that your claim has been settled appropriately based on the documentation that surrounds your relocation. Your claim was settled based on the report submitted by the independent 3rd party repair firm. As we have reached an impasse, National Van... Lines participates in an arbitration program which is sponsored by the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA). If you wish, to have an independent third party review this matter, this program is available at a cost of $300.00 to you. The AMSA can be contacted at 1611 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 or via the internet at www.moving.org. While I regret that we could not settle your claim as requested, I do hope you understand our position.Sincerely,Teresa BrownDirector of Claims

The customer's position is understood, however as mentioned in the initial dispute response, it is driver discretionIt is the driver's judgment that determines if a shipment can be delivered safelyNational Van Lines only hires qualified professional experienced driversIn all due respect, it is not likely a professional apartment manager, the customer (if they are not driver) or administrative employee (such as myself) has the expertise to make such a judgment callAll wheel trucks do not have the same dimensions, they vary in length and height (highest to lowest)It is a very general statement to say wheel trucks are seen entering the complex without a problem
For the reasons mentioned above the shuttle service was necessary and the charges cannot be reversed
If you have any questions please contact me

I have seen 18-wheelers entering the apartment complex without any problemThe manager of the complex also confirmed that there is never a problemSo other drivers can handle this well, but the drivers from National Van Lines cannotThis means the driver hired by National Van Lines is an unqualified driver
With other cheaper options, I still chose to enter a moving contract with National Van Lines because I thought National Van Lines is a national moving company with professional serviceNow, National Van Lines hired unqualified driver, which leads to additional and unnecessary shuttle serviceI should not be responsible for this unprofessional and unnecessary service due to an unqualified driver's decision because his lack of skill

A non-Chrysler tech worked on the vehicle causing the engine issues then.I will let them know you will handle this yourself then.thanks,

I wanted to respond and explain a little about the relationship between National Van Lines and its agentsNational Van Lines operates as a motor carrier of household goods in interstate commerce (state to state)National's only business is to transport the goods of people that are moving from one state to another
*** *** & *** Incis an independently owned and operated company that represents National Van Lines in regards to Interstate shipmentsHowever, *** *** & *** Inc also operates within their local markets, providing local moving services under their own authorityAs discussed your storage agreement was with *** *** and *** Inc, not National Van LinesThe damage that occurred while in storage should be filed directly with Kearny Moving and Storage, Inc
We regret that there were problems in regard to your moveIn order to proceed with your claim, we must have the claimed damage evaluatedIt is a common practice throughout the moving industry to engage an independent 3rd party repair firm to evaluate claimed damages to determine carrier liabilityI am hopeful that we will be able to resolve this matter amicably

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
National Van lines seems to be sidestepping the issue, by trying to say that one of their agencies is independentWhere do we place blame for broken items, on the packer or the mover? It now seems that I have to follow claims against two different organizations? I expect National Van Lines (the umbrella organization) to decide who has the liability and take the lead in reconciling the situationIt seems like I had to take the lead to get anyone to do anything after my initial report of damageIn the meantime it has been two months since the late delivery of our household goodsI was informed today that a third party evaluator will visit on the 11th of May to take pictures etcThe package sent to National included and itemized list, accompanied by picturesI would like to hold this issue open until, I get some satisfaction
Thank You timothy***
