Response:

To whom it may concern

Attached is the refund for [redacted]. The reason it wasn't done sooner was simply because we were waiting for [redacted] to accept or reject an offer we made to him on a new vehicle.

In any case the refund is processed and attached.

Review: On 2/**/16 we went in to the dealership and found a car we wanted to lease. We were told we had to put a $500.00 down payment in order to proceed with the lease application. We were approved for a lease price much higher than quoted and decided not to proceed with the lease. We asked for the deposit back, they would not give it back immediately saying they had to have the General Manager sign off on it. They still have not returned the deposit. We went to the dealership on Tues, 02/**/16 and asked to see the General Manager who would not see us. We were told he had to send the request for the return of the deposit to their accounting office. We were not given a timeframe for return of the deposit. We were also never given a copy of the paperwork we signed.Desired Settlement: Refund of $500.00 deposit.

Business

Response:

The customer is certainly entitled to his/her refund asap. They need to go into the store and fill out a refund request and leave a copy of their credit card and it will be refunded within 3 business days. The refunds are sent to our main accounting office. Sorry about the confusionRon DeTommaso[redacted]

Sincerely,

We went to purchase a 2013 Chevy Suburban as advertised on [redacted]. This advertisement was on for at least a week. Went all the way to the dealership to purchase the vehicle only to find out that they did not have the proper paperwork to sell it but was offered a 2014 Suburban with more milage and less options for the same price. We were also in agreement that the loan that we would agree upon would only be for 5 years, and then they switched it to six by just mentioning it lightly at the end of the conversation. We thought it was very suspicious on how they can have one vehicle advertised, say that they cant sell it yet (although it had been advertised for at least a week), and then offer the other one that had less options and was not as nice. It was like a "bait and switch" scam.

Review: The vehicle was advertised as a Certified Pre-Owned which includes an extended warranty for the vehicle. I have not received the necessary documentation for the extended warranty after multiple attempts (phone calls and e-mails) to get this information. In addition, there was a missing key FOB that was to be replaced and that has also not happened. I would not have purchased the vehicle if it did not have the extended warranty associated with being Certified Pre-Owned.Desired Settlement: Receiving the proper documentation for the Certified Pre-Owned extended warranty and the key FOB that was promised.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] The vehicle comes with two keys each with a key FOB that lets you open the doors remotely. The key the dealer sent did not have the FOB part of the key - see attached photo

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Chevrolet of Huntington regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

I have received the key and the key FOB from the dealer and he has agreed to pay for the programming that is required to be done at a GMC dealer. I have contacted the closest GMC dealer in DE and was quoted $40.00 to program the key FOB. I am traveling out of state at the moment and will not likely get to the DE GMC dealer for several weeks. Chevrolet of Huntington wanted a copy of the invoice before they would pay the $40.00.

Steve from Chevrolet of Huntington called a couple times and I returned his call; playing phone tag. My latest call was not returned. Once I am reimbursed for the $40.00 programming fee, this case will be closed.

Review: We brought our 2009 Chevy Trailblazer in to Huntington Chevrolet to have our tail gate latch repaired/replaced on 3/**/15. On 3/**/15 we picked up the vehicle because the cost to repair the vehicle was too high so we paid the $120 diagnostic fee. When we dropped off this vehicle both of our headlights worked. We did not drive this vehicle at night until Sunday 4/* when we noticed that both of the headlights did not work. The following morning we took it to a local mechanic who was trying to see what the problem was and noticed that the relay switch for the headlights was removed and missing. Nobody else looked at this vehicle in that week span after Huntington Chevrolet. This mechanic then had the vehicle for a day & half and replaced the relay switch at a cost of $288. We did not have any other mechanic touch this vehicle for that entire week and we feel that Chevrolet should at the very least give us our $120 diagnostic fee back. When we took it back to the dealership to tell them of the problem they did not want to hear it and denied that it was their fault.Desired Settlement: I would like at the very least a letter of apology from this dealership who I might add a very arrogant and do not listen to the customer. Their customer service skills are seriously lacking.Refund-Cash

Response:

I left a voicemail and emailed the consumer to resolve this complaintI will offer a refund in full of his diagnostic charges[redacted]

Review: I bought 2009 GMC pickup truck and was told it would pass state inspection. Was pulled over on the [redacted] because the stop lights were on constantly. I explained that I just got the truck less than I hour before and I would correct the problem. I changed the stoplight switch but it didn't help. Then took the truck to my nephew who is a tech at a local chevrolet dealer and he diagnosed the problem as a bad BCM (body control module). I then contacted the salesman that I had been dealing with and he told me that I should get it fixed and send him the receipt as I could get it done cheaper than his dealership service dept. would charge him for the same repair (?).After getting the repair, I called to let him know and got the response that he had to talk to the boss. After waiting a few days and getting no response I tried calling again and the calls went right to voicemail. I later managed to get a call in to the salesman and got the answer that they had to review the security tapes of the lot to see if they could confirm my story. It shouldn't have been an issue anyway as 30 days hadn't passed (it was lees than a week). I have called the main number since to record a complaint but keep getting the " I'll have to talk to the boss and get right back to you" story. The real cost of the repair is $481.00 if my nephew did not work there so I'm really trying to be as fair as I can. Since they had the truck on the scanner to diagnose another issue that they repaired before I got there, I'm sure that they knew about this one also.Desired Settlement: I want the cost of the repair ($300.00) and the wheel cover that I was promised
