We used CWFR for mitigation services at our Condo Association after experiencing severe water damage in one of the UnitsThe Mitigation Team we had of Collin and Mike were outstandingThey were extremely courteous, thoughtful, detail oriented and thorough in setting up, removing the water damaged areas and corresponding debris and also in cleaning up afterwardsThe same team came at the end of mitigation drying/sanitizing and were just as great in completing this process

I had a sewage blockage resulting in 8" of water in my basement Everything from the initial phone call to the final pick up of their equipment was top-notch Steven & Raymond worked diligently drying out my basement They were professional & courteous & explained everything I was completely impressed with them, but also with several other workers who came twice to pick up some of the equipment One of them even pointed out something unrelated on one of my downspouts that had been a huge problem I will definitely recommend this company to everyoneDuring a stressful time they instilled confidence in me & were so easy to work with I give them stars, especially Steven & Raymond!

Let me tell you about the WONDERFUL experience I had with this company tonightDriving home one of their crew did not yield to the right of way (meaning I had the right of way, making my left hand turn) and tried to T-bone me in the middle of an intersectionThey had a stop sign, they were stopped, let the vehicle in front of me make his turn but decided that they had to try to plow into MY vehicleIn a huge box truck mind youI called the company number on the truck only to be told "Good luck with that" and hung up on when I told him I was reporting their truck to the police for their reckless drivingSo they send crews out on the road that nearly cause accidents (I saw this same truck nearly T-bone yet ANOTHER driver a few blocks down the road), they not only don't care about their workers being a hazard on the road, they practically turn their nose up at you when you call to report itI wouldn't hire this company if somebody put a gun to my head and my life depended on it

Last week a pipe broke in the wall our our home that was only eight weeks old due to negligence of our builder, ** ** *** Chicago Water & Fire Restoration was called in to extract the water from our home Tom *** was at our home in record time to evaluate the situation and to start the drying out process He was very informative and knowledgeable The crew came shortly after and did not leave until 12:AM They did not have enough equipment to finish the process and were at our home very early the next morning The crew that came to remove the equipment were at our home promptly at AM, the time we requestedThey were very neat and very careful not to mark walls, etc Adam came to evaluate the situation He was also very prompt and knowledgeable Phil and Steve were sent to repair drywall, replace baseboards and paint Their work was top notch! They were very neat, clean and respectful of our home I would highly recommend Chicago Water & Fire Restoration

I had a water leak in my house over Labor Day weekend I contacted Chicago Water and Fire on Labor Day and their project manager Walter was at my doorstep within an hour! Walter easily explained the process and answered every question I had Within a few hours, Jeremiah and Greg showed up on site They were extremely professional and courteous while they set up the equipment A few days later, Steven and Jose showed up to pick up the equipment Steven and Jose were both really friendly and efficient I could not be more pleased with the service and professionalism of the Chicago Water and Fire teamI would recommend Chicago Water and Fire to anyone experiencing damage in their home

I was recommended this company by a plumberI had water damage in my basement, kitchen, and 1/bath next to my kitchen due to a broken water line for my icemakerLong story short.....the two guys they sent to due the water mitigation were extremely incompetent unfortunatelyI'm assuming it was due to lack of experience since one looked to be maybe junior high or high school and the other maybe in his 20'sAnyways Between my insagent and the guy from the next company that came out they found that the water wasn't even close to being dried outNot only was the subfloor in both the kitchen and bathroom still really wet in a lot larger area then they had taken up the flooring and underlayment but black mildew had already started forming when the second cotook out the rest of the flooring and underlayment It had also spread to the underlayment under the cabinet next to the fridge which they didn't remove at allAND the second coalso showed me where they had cut out the flooring and underlayment in both my kitchen and bathroom they cut down into my subfloor the whole wayThank god it wasn't all the way through but definitely still deep enough! Plus the ceiling in my basement where it had come through both there and the walls a lot wasn't dry either at all and more ceiling had to be cut out and they had to set up all the drying machines for another daysI saw it allThe second cowas *** and they did a great job start to finish!

Steven Cand Jose Nreturned days later to pick up equipment and stretched the.dry carpet back in place
They moved all furniture as needed and set back in place at the end of the job
All were very friendly What a joy to work with them

We had an unexpected flood in our basement we didn't know what to do we called numerous places seeing how we never had this happen beforeRight when we got ahold of chicago water and fire restorations they got here fastFaster then people in my own town the gentleman that helped us were Armando and Greg they were so professional and politeEven the people on the phone and the person to do the estimate were very nice They answered every question we had Armando and Greg they did not do a rush job they made sure everything was done correctly inch by inch I can't thank you guys enoughI hope we never have this happen again but if we do I know who to call thank you

I had a water pipe burst in my crawl space, and by the time I found it there was already 2' of water! I called Chicago Water & Fire and they had a technician at my home in 30 minutes!!! The technician reassured me that they would pump out the water and dry everything out! What really impressed me is how the tech calmed my wife down, and explained that it will be ok!! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Chicago Water & Fire!! Thank you for turning such a stressful, chaotic situation into a breeze!

On 10/13/16 Anthony/Mike came to mitigate water damage to our finished basement. They were courteous, competent and careful with our belongings. They made it clear what they were doing and why. They were late ,but it was not a major problem. I would suggest that the dispatcher give us a time window rather than a firm time . Good experience under the circumstances. Matt [redacted] dr. Our water heater broke and caused a real mess including water going up the drywall.

Everyone was very professional. They were in constant contact to keep us updated on what was going on and ETA's for when they were coming out. They were quick to come out.

They took care in bringing in their equipment and removing it.

Everything was explained and contact information was given in the event we had any questions. When a disaster strikes, it's nice to have people who make you comfortable and are compassionate.

From the phone contacts, the initial coming out to the final inspection and pick up of equipment, these folks (Mike, Moises, Blake, Eddie, and the final team of " Steve and Steve" - and others who called to keep us updated ) were great.

Had water damage from the upstairs neighbors water heater leaking down into my condo all afternoon. CWFR came out right away, walked me through the process, set up the mitigation equipment and came back and removed it when everything was dry. The crew, Anthony and Brendan, were wonderful!! I opted to use CWFR for my repairs as well and they have been so helpful, contacting my insurance company, explaining the process. I am going to be gone for a month and they will call when I return to complete the repairs. Everyone I've dealt with to date, from the project manager, the crew, the insurance adjuster and Eddie, have been professional, knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. They made what could have been a nightmare an easy process, particularly since it happened right before I was to leave town for a month.

We have used this company several times in Westmont and Downers Grove with excellent results. Mike is always very up front and explains everything before hand. Clean-up by Collin was great. No complaints whatsoever. Good job!

Due to a faulty gasket on my sump pump, I returned home one evening to the sound of rushing water. I ran into the basement to find that the sump was ejecting water straight into my finished basement. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled! The emergency plumber that I called referred me to Chicago Water and Fire, and boy am I glad that he did! To make a long story short, the folks at CW&F walked me through every step of what they would need to do to get my basement back to normal. The process did take over a month or so, but that was due to my insurance, and CW&F had warned me that this would be the hardest part. I am happy to report that my basement is in better shape than it was before the minor flood! Thanks CW&F for a job well done!
