Review: I contacted chronostore in regards to purchasing a replacement chapter ring for my [redacted] for [redacted] watch (Reference no.: [redacted]) and they confirmed to me they had one in stock & could do the replacement.

The price seemed fair so I also had them change the watches gaskets out.

The total price ended up being $340.00 for this work and that figure included the parts.

Upon receiving the watch back I noticed two fairly significant marks on the dial. The pictures of how I received the watch back are linked below:

I contacted chronostore.com shortly after receiving the watch back to inform them about these marks. To me they looked like dirt spots.

Chronostore then told me that I the customer would have to pay for their mistake (leaving marks on the dial) by footing the shipping costs a second time. ($40 through them for return shipping, $55 to them via [redacted])

I told them this was unacceptably poor response to a paying customer and decided to take the watch to a local registered watch maker.

He removed the dirt for $30 USD fee and informed me that what I thought was dirt on the right side was not dirt at all, but damage to the dial, likely caused by an error during the movement reinstallation where the pusher had scraped against the dial.

The watch had no marks on the dial when I sent it in.

This is ridiculous chronostore even requested I pay for the return shipping.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life by a company that does such big business.

Again, the dial had NO damage when I sent it in. Most boutique jewelers take photographs upon receipt of the product just to avoid issues like this.

Please show me the photos where the scratches are if you are saying you did not cause them.Desired Settlement: At this point I want my dial replaced, as there is no way to fix it.

I am unsure of the cost of this as [redacted] told me they will only replace the dial with a full movement service.

I look forward to a quick resolution to this issue as I've already done my due diligence on this issue.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.Chronostore.com has agreed to replace the dial at a cost of $350 to me. (Half of the $700 total). They have offered to cover the other half of the dial price, the shipping and handling and service required to replace it.This resolution is acceptable to me.
