Review: I received a generic sales email from [redacted] This was unsolicited. I attempted to "Unsubscribe" to future emails per the "Unsubsribe" option on this email. It took me to a site managed by Church & Dwight Co labeled "Manage Email Preferences". I put in my email address, the sMe address that the original [redacted] email was sent to. The result was that my email did not exist in their database. No other option was presented to unsubscribe. I called [redacted] contact information which was the parent company, Church & Dwight. After I was told that They did not send the email and further disagreement during this conversation, I asked to speak to the supervisor. I was placed on hold. After a short while, I was told that the employee, CSR, unsubscribed me from another company under Church & Dwight - [redacted]. I have never used [redacted] products or related products so I can only assume my information was sold without my knowledge. However, my complaint is that Church & Dwight is not providing upfront information as to how to unsubscribe to unsolicited emails - instead this advertisement is being buried into one of their subsidiaries. The only way I was able to unsubscribe was a long, heated discussion over the phone with a CSR that either didn't know that her comapny was using unprofessional advertising practices or that this CSR was hiding this information from me intentionally.Desired Settlement: I would like to see a more transparant process. If I get an email from a company and I want to unsubscribe, I should only have to select the unsubscribe option and confirm. I should not have to call the parent company, fight with the CSR and then be "told" that I was unsubscribed from another subsidiary (ie [redacted]) - and that I will get a confirmation of this action in 10 business days.

Business

Response:

Church & Dwight confirmed she was unsubscribed from all Church & Dwight websites and will communicate this with the consumer.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I accept that I have been unsubscribed from this email;however, I feel Church & Dwight Co needs to amend the unecessary step of requiring a customer to call their company to "Unsubsubscribe" Instead of going thru the usual means of clicking the "Unsubscribe" link and confirming the action. I feel this is an unscrupulous business practice which usual results in the recipient of the unsolicited email giving up.

Currently, we have 3 different email addresses on file for them, 3 different mailing addresses including a Post Office Box, and multiple phone numbers. Review: This is the second "Spin Brush" that I've had to purchase in the last 2 1/2 weeks. I'm sure they don't usually just stop working, but I would greatly appreciate it if you would provide me with a replacement for the one I had to replace after a week of use instead of addressing this issue with the Revdex.com. Thank you.Desired Settlement: Please replace my defective "Spin Brush". Thank you.

Review: I purchased a product: [redacted] from this company. I used the product to clean my suit jacket. The result my jacket was ruined due to color being removed. I have contacted and expressed my issue with Church & Dwight, they have refused to reimburse me for my suit jacket. I am here to make a complaint and voice my concern. I am seeking simply just to be reimbursed for the cost of my jacket.Desired Settlement: Repair, refund or replaced my damaged suit jacket. Or simply reimburse me for the cost of the jacket.

Business

Response:

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. We have had the opportunity to investigate this consumer's experience with our [redacted] product. The consumer was able to send the item of clothing to us for review. As per the manufacturer's care label, the garment was designated dry-clean only. We strongly recommend always following the manufacturer's care instructions, and furthermore as stated in our usage directions, this product should not be used on wool, wool blends, silk, silk blends, leather, or on fabrics labelled dry clean only. We strongly recommend that all consumers review directions for use in detail prior to using the product. However, as consumer satisfaction is extremely important to us at Church & Dwight Co., Inc., we will be sending the consumer a one time gesture of goodwill for the amount of $49.99.

Review: I feel that I am sometimes being defrauded when buying [redacted] cat litter. I have been buying the 37-pound [redacted] (Dwight & Church) ULTRALAST cat litter (their premium brand) two boxes at a time, for several years at our local [redacted]. Several months ago, I bought the same brand, in the same box, with the same bar code, but found a different content in the box than normal. It is inferior, a different texture (more coarse), and a different color (tan instead of grey) and appears to have much fewer odor-control crystals. I emailed Dwight & Church and complained about it, asking why, when I bought identical boxes of their premium litter, with the same box and bar codes, I was getting something other than what was supposed to be in the box. They sent me coupons to replace the boxes, but no explanation. The next boxes I bought were the original, fine-grained, grey-color product with lots of crystals that I was used to getting when I first bought the product. The last two boxes I bought however, were once again the coarse, tan-colored product with fewer crystals. I once again emailed Dwight & Church and complained. I told them I did not want coupons thrown at me to shut me up, I wanted an explanation as to why I got different products in the box than what was supposed to be there and what I was paying for. This time, they sent me one coupon for the cat litter and a $1.00-off coupon for their other products. I have photos of the two identical boxes with identical bar codes, photos of the two different contents of the boxes, showing the differences in color and texture, and actual samples of the two different contents. Dwight & Church seem to be committing fraud against consumers with at best, an inconsistent product, and at worst, a fraudulent product, assuming people wont notice. Can you help?Desired Settlement: #1- I would like for them to be stopped from selling two different products in the same box, which misleads and cheats consumers.#2- I would like my two 37-pound boxes to be replaced with the REAL [redacted] ULTRALAST.If they have two different companies making the same product, one of them is not doing it correctly and is cheating [redacted] AND the consumer. If they are changing the product and have some of the old still out there, just be honest and say so.

Review: I keep receiving advertising email from their [redacted] brand and there is no way to stop them, since when I click on the link at the bottom of every email to unsubscribe, and then I type my email address, the system tells me that my address could not be found. How can that be possible when I keep receiving emails from them.Desired Settlement: I want them to remove all my personal information they might have on file and stop sending me advertising emails.

Business

Response:

Our marketing team is investigating this complaint. We will send letter of confirmation to the consumer once it has been confirmed his email has been removed from all CHD websites.

Review: Digital stick did not work at all; no refund for defective product.

6/6/2015. Bought [redacted] with digital stick that reads "yes" or "no." After trying regular stick with lines, the possibility for my pregnancy was left rather vague, so I used the digital one for a more definite answer. The clock, which is suppose to appear 30 seconds after you open its packaging, never appeared. The company's written solution on its package? Go out and buy another kit. I have a rather expensive stick I can't use and no ability to return for an effective one.Desired Settlement: I'd like a refund. It is unfair to expect clients to get another kit when the reason they bought this kit was to have two. Any other product you can return if the manufacturers release a faulty one, but not this. It's unfair and unethical; what's to stop them from ALWAYS putting out faulty ones when they know the consumer can't return it?

Business

Response:

The complaint has been reviewed and we are sending [redacted] a refund. She can expect to receive it in 7- 10 business days.

Review: contacted company via their website got an email asking me to call I am UNABLE to make calls from 9am until 8pm or I can lose my job I did take the to call today spoke to a woman who identify herself as [redacted] gave her the reference # I spoke clearly and slowly Ref# [redacted] also repeated I explain I did not have the time to address any issues due to two things

1) I had limited minutes on the cell phone remaining

2) I was at my job whereas personal calls are not allow

the church & dwight product was below standards and fail to work as indicated in my response via website Ref# [redacted]Desired Settlement: refund replacement which ever

Business

Response:

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We responded to the consumer via email on 5/3/2014 asking them to provide a physical mailing address to which a replacement coupon could be sent. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response from the consumer and were unable to mail out any form of reimbursement. Consumer satisfaction is of the utmost

importance to Church & Dwight Co., Inc therefore if the consumer would like

to contact us either via the form on this website (http://www.churchdwight.com/contactus.aspx) or if they are able to call now, on [redacted] Mon to Fri 9am-5pm ET (providing reference

number [redacted], we would be more than happy to try to resolve their

complaint.

Review: [redacted]. This product has ruined at least four shirts and one pair of pants of mine. Instead of taking out stains, I am left with clothing that still has the stains, but has additional extreme and visible stains left by the "stain fighter" product.

The product should not be sold to unwitting customers.

I attempted to contact the company directly before filing this complaint, but the submission button on their e-mail Web form does not function.Desired Settlement: I need a refund for the price of the product, as well as compensation for the clothing that was ruined by this product. As a consumer, I purchase a product like this with faith, assuming it will perform as advertised. In the event that it does not perform, I certainly do not expect it to ruin my clothing by completely staining the area where the product was applied.

Business

Response:

complaint.

Regards,

Review: I purchased (as usual) a huge mega bottle of laundry detergent and when I got it home it was in lumps. I could not pour it out the spouts because of the huge lumps. I honestly thought it .was just a weird thing and I called the company asking how to dissolve the lumps. The very sweet person I spoke with told me NOT to try and dissolve the lumps, this product was faulty and it could bleach my clothes. She said to throw away this container of laundry detergent and she would send me a replacement coupon. It was [redacted] in the orange container, maybe... 2 gallons?? I gave her the NDC code when I had it but she told me not to use it and throw it away so I no longer have that code, I did as I was instructed.

I never received the replacement coupon so I called and talked to another person. She assured me it had been sent but she would send another with return receipt requested. I did not receive that either. The company can verify they have no proof of receipt.

I have an issue, I like the product but I HATE the company. I will make it a point to post on every f/b thread I know of an tell of the dishonest practices of this company!Desired Settlement: Replacement coupon with return receipt requested so I can prove if I receive it or not.

Business

Response:

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Full value

replacement coupons were sent to the consumer on 5/20/2013 and again on

6/24/2013 via a traceable method. The coupons were returned to us

as undelivered as the person/recipient was not known at the address

provided. Consumer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to Church &

Dwight Co., Inc therefore if the consumer would like to contact us on

complaint.

I am rejecting this response because:I did as you suggested 2 1/2 YEARS ago and I gave them the correct address x2 and they STILL got it wrong.

I do not want anything from you. I started using a different brand 2 1/2 YEARS ago when I wrote this! It took you 2 1/2 YEARS to even respond to this, you can imagine your credibility is pretty well shot by now, right?NOW I want to close this but not because you people did anything correct in the least but because after 2 1/2 YEARS I am pretty well over it! It would appear you are going over old Revdex.com complaints trying to get your rating up a bit. I can sure imagine why!

Review: Have called them 3x and have yet to receive refund for cat litter that offered money back guarantee.Desired Settlement: Full refund!

Business

Response:

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. A full refund check was sent to the consumer on 2 occasions (3/27/2014 and 4/16/2014). We do not have any record of further contact with the consumer. Consumer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to Church &

Dwight Co., Inc therefore if the consumer would like to contact us on

Review: [redacted] Laundry detergent successfully ruined two articles of clothing; one of which was very important to me. Both were washed in the normal cycle and hung up to dry. Once I went to put them away, I notice there were big faded blue stains on the clothes. I attempted to remove the stain with stain removers of various brands; I had no luck. I'm upset that my laundry detergent ruined 2 articles of clothing! I went to wash my white bed sheets today and had to go purchase different detergent because I was afraid [redacted] would stain those as well. I have an almost full bottle here that I can't use.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for my [redacted] Laundry detergent purchase and for the value of the ruined clothing.

Business

Response:

[redacted] contacted us by email on 4-26-15. We responded on 4-27-15 and advised that a product refund was being processed. We have no record of receiving first notice of the complaint from the Revdex.com. After reading the second notice, we are following up with our consumer and will be asking her to submit the garment/s she believes was adversely affected by our laundry detergent. We are unable to confirm her allegation until we have had the opportunity to review the complaint.[redacted]Consumer Claims CoordinatorChurch & Dwight Co., Inc.[redacted]

Regards,

Review: Order was confirmed/completed approx 12:48PM EST Tuesday 12/17/2013. Website guarantees same day shipping if ordered by 1PM EST, chose 2 day FedEx shipping, for arrival Thursday 12/19. No order history was shown on merchants website. Spoke with ** Wednesday 12/18 & was told it shipped that day, when I explained their websites guarantee was in breach I was offered $10 shipping refund. And a call back when the refund was completed, with a tracking number. They also informed me fedex was still having a problem & there was no tracking information, but assured me it was shipped that day. I received a VM message the next day (Thursday 12/19), explaining the $10 shipping refund had been completed. I then called again, (Thursday 12/19), to find out the tracking info, still I was told, there was no tracking information, due to a problem with fed ex , but was assured it should be arrive Friday 12/20/2013, that all the info would be passed along to "corporate" & would receive another return call. On Friday 12/20/2013, spoke to ** explaining no one had returned a call & the package had still not arrived. I was told they would once again pass it along to "corporate" , I tried to explain FedEx had already been to my neighborhood for the day , I was told to wait until 8PM for FedEx; as this was to be the arrival date according to the merchant, even though they did not have any tracking information either. I have been waiting 2 days. I now see the transaction has been completed with only a credit of $5.15, not the agreed upon amount of $10 for shipping a day late & the package has not yet arrived as promised.Desired Settlement: Product has not been delivered- yet I have been charged. Was assured a $10 refund for one day shipping delay, only to receive $5.15 & still no product.
