After reviewing Mr [redacted] complaint we looked into his caseCitizens Disability unfortunately does not have any control over when SSA decides what date they see fit that the client became disabledThey had awarded him benefits then took another look at his file and decided to amend his onset date to a later dateUnfortunately this is what caused the client to have to pay back the ampunt statedWe have no control over SSA payment amountsWe have reached out to the SSA to discuss the claim and they have advised us that the accounting to us was correctUntil we receive notice from SSA we cannot take actionAlso if it is determined that monies are owed they are paid directly to SSA and not the CL as we were paid by SSA directlyWe are sorry for the inconvenience that Mr [redacted] is going through and wish him the best

Revdex.com:While I never gave any kind of "consent" to this place: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved Regards, [redacted]

We are sorry Ms [redacted] disagrees with the Social Security Administration’s determination of the value of the work performed on her claimCitizens Disability is only allowed to charge and collect a fee after the Social Security Administration has deemed it fairAs for Ms [redacted] ’s appeal, there are risks involved in the process she is describingHere Ms [redacted] was approved for monthly benefits, if she had requested a review by the SSA the entire claim, including her approval for monthly benefits, would have been reconsidered and there is a chance that her entire claim, including her approval for monthly benefits, would have been deniedOur agents go over the pro’s and con’s of filing the type of appeal she was describing and discuss these options with clientsIf a client wishes to proceed with an appeal, we will work to ensure that they are approvedIf they do not, we close the claimI have thoroughly reviewed Ms [redacted] ’s claim and believe that the work performed by Citizens Disability warranted an award of at least $Despite this belief, we have chosen to waive Ms [redacted] ’s fee and wish her the best of luck in the future

Our office provides a completed set of all information for review before submission of any information to the governmentWe have found that two mailings is simpler to understand and allows our clients the ability to fully understand all of the paperwork they are being presentedWhen everything is mailed at once, many have found there to be too much information and have felt that things have been missedWe are sorry Ms [redacted] feels the way she does, however we have found this to be a process that produces less anxiety during the sign up process excellent results for our clients

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Business is attempting to deflect the actual reasonThe complaint isn't that they are sending two sets of documentsThe complaint is they were asking for signatures upon perjury without sending the entire completed paperworkWhen asked for the fully completed paperwork in which they wanted me to sign under perjury they refusedI nor anyone should sign contracts attesting something is true and accurate under penalty of perjury without seeing that informationThey refused to let me see the information they filled out wanting me to sign just a signature pageThat is the complaint Regards, [redacted]

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, as stated in response the client needs to contact Social Security directly for payment at this point as that is who has the money. It is inaccurate to assert that Mr*** did not give consent to Citizens to file an application on his behalfFirst,
Mr*** participated in a lengthily phone interview with a representative of Citizens Disability reviewing all of the information necessary to file an application, at that time the full process was explained to Mr***, including the future filing of an application for disability benefitsNext Mr*** received a copy of the application which was going to be filed on his behalf for his reviewAdditionally, Mr*** signed and mailed back to our office an appointment of representative form appointing *** *** as his Social Security Disability Advocate, as well as a fee agreement for representation though the disability claims process along with several other documents necessary to process an applicationGiven the amount of participation from *** up to the point of filing an application for Social Security Disability benefits, to claim that Mr*** did not give consent for representation is disingenuous at best. We wish the best for Mr***

See attached

We are sorry that Ms*** is not happy with our services or our processThe second pack she would have received the completed app to look over and call us with any concerns, before it was submitted to the SSA office

We are sorry Mr*** feels this wayOur office spent a significant amount of time preparing for his hearing, and the representative who appeared was provided with a fully completed fileCitizens has responded to all of Mr***’ calls and requests and has provided him with a copy of a
withdrawal and fee waiver for his claimWe wish Mr*** the best of luck in the future

We have read the complaint filed by Ms***On Nov she reached to us and went through our intake process where we go over her conditions and why she can not work. Citizens Disability is an advocacy group we are not a law firm and we do not represent ourselves as
lawyersWe do have lawyers on staff but they are only for when the client goes to hearingIn our signature pack that is sent out we do ask for our clients to sign a HIPPA form so that we are able to get their medical records which are needed when filing for disabilityWithout that signed form we have NO access to the clients medical recordsWe have added Ms*** to our Do not call list and we will not be contacting her furtherMs*** never returned any signed paperwork so we have not done anything on her claim, IEcontacted DoctorsWe are very sorry that Ms*** felt that she was mislead, and we wish her nothing but the best with her Disability claim

Please find a copy of letter we received from SSA in 07/the check we sent back on 8/11/along with letter accompanying check

Our office has spoken with Ms*** several times regarding the questions in her filingOur office always receives express written consent to speak with any potential clientIn addition, our office is extremely clear that we are a private entity throughout the entire sign up interviewOur
offices are located in Waltham MassachusettsWe do employ call center agents throughout the world who are constantly monitored from our management team and WalthamAs Ms*** has experienced several times, our Waltham managers are always available to receive a transfer from any client who requests oneIn addition our office has sent Ms*** an email verifying our local addressFinally, we have sent Ms*** several letters on letter head with our Waltham addressWe hope that this confusion has been cleared up and if Ms*** has any further questions she can contact us at any time and we are happy to help

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.
I have received the Mailed Copy of the release letter from Citizens DisabilityI forwarded it an attorney who said it not sufficient to completely release Citizens Disability completely from a fee as it was specific to a single person to whom wrote the letterI have forwarded the Mailed copy, which is slightly different to my new attorney for reviewI have not heard back from his firm yet if it completely releases Citizens Disability from trying to collect fees. Although in their response they claimed to respond to all of my calls, it was not until I left them a message that I had made a complaint with you, The Revdex.com, did they return my many callsBut that isn't as important as getting the proper letter of release. They also claim they spent at length working on my case, which may or may not be trueThey also claim to have forwarded all my case data to the attorney assigned to my case, which could be trueBut the fact is he did not know anything about my case during my hearingEven though he may have had the file at hand, I seriously doubt he did any review prior to my hearingBesides the fact he was nearly one and a half hours late, smelled of booze and cologne, he was basically paid to just show upThere was no incentive for him to put forth effort towards my casePerhaps Citizens Disability should change their policy for paying their attorneys. As I have said before, the transcripts of my hearing clearly will indicate what I say is true, as he just sat there putting forth zero effort in representing me As soon as I hear from my attorney I will let you know what his decission is regarding Citizens Disability's Mail copy of the Release LetterIf it is acceptable, then we can put a close to this complaint.Thank You Kindly for your help.Best Regards,*** ** ***

After reviewing Mr. [redacted] complaint we looked into his case. Citizens Disability unfortunately does not have any control over when SSA decides what date they see fit that the client became disabled. They had awarded him benefits then took another look at his file and decided to amend his onset date...

to a later date. Unfortunately this is what caused the client to have to pay back the ampunt stated. We have no control over SSA payment amounts. We have reached out to the SSA to discuss the claim and they have advised us that the accounting to us was correct. Until we receive notice from SSA we cannot take action. Also if it is determined that monies are owed they are paid directly to SSA and not the CL as we were paid by SSA directly. We are sorry for the inconvenience that Mr. [redacted] is going through and wish him the best.

Since receiving this complaint, we have reached out to Ms. [redacted] and we have taken her case back and helped her apply for SSI.  As for the evidence that was given in her case, all information we had regarding her case was submitted and it is out of our control as to what part the Judge looks...

at makes their decision. We are very sorry that she did not win her claim Citizens Disability did their part in representing her case for two years. We are looking forward to working with Ms. [redacted] with her future case and we will continue with her, to fight for her disability claim.

Revdex.com:We would like a copy of the documents signed immediately and submitted back to Mr. [redacted]. We received a letter from [redacted] but upon talking to the Social Security Administration, we immediately ceased conversation because we were not in need of his representation.  When I initially called Mr. [redacted], he explained that he had returned the monies to the social security administration because he did not represent us. I want to view the signed document that was mailed in immediately.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].  . Business is attempting to deflect the actual reason. The complaint isn't that they are sending two sets of documents. The complaint is they were asking for signatures upon perjury without sending the entire completed paperwork. When asked for the fully completed paperwork in which they wanted me to sign under perjury they refused. I nor anyone should sign contracts attesting something is true and accurate under penalty of perjury without seeing that information. They refused to let me see the information they filled out wanting me to sign just a signature page. That is the complaint.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused Ms. [redacted].  At no time do we ever tell people that we are Social Security we tell them at the beginning of call that we are Citizens Disability and that we are an advocacy group. Any information that is given to us is used to file the...

application for the claimant that we send to SSA.  I have since gone in and deleted all private information that Ms. [redacted] provided her SS# DOB parents names ETC. I am also adding her phone number to our Do Not Call list.  Again we do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused
