Plain and simple, this person was a bully and aggressive from the moment the plumber showed up.He didn't have the for non covered costsHe wanted to set up a payment agreementFinally his father agreed to pay for the non covered costs. As for the required modifications to install the new tankless water heater, we only list what is required by the city, the state and the manufacturerIf the plumber mixed up one job with another, it would have been corrected right awayWe have not been in business this long by taking advantage of peopleIn fact, we are most likely one of the only plumbing service companies that will offer in house financing with zero intertest and have several companies that will loan on service repair projects to help honest people who just need a little help. After my conversation with this guy, I personally called his home warranty and refused to service due to safety concerns for the plumberWe have done this times in years What does that tell you ?We would not have returned to this job site for a million dollarsThe safety of our customers (following required safety codes) and the safety of our plumbers comes well before profits

I am rejecting this response because: the permit was never pulled It also only runs $unless they are fined for not pulling a permit A permit is to be pulled prior to the job Since it was not pulled the $and the hours we were charged is fraudulent He was paid to install the water heater by my Home Warranty company....the upgrades were what I was to be charged I requested a call before the job, during, after etc The plumber lied to me about the permit The poor professional ethics of this company is reprehensible I have filed a claim with the Contractor's Licensing Board and have let my home warranty know of their deceptive ways I want at a minimum the $and the time refunded for pulling zero permit...failure to do so will cause me to file a civil suit I also requested from the plumber an itemized invoice which he said couldn't be done Company is not professional

I am currently on vacation until the first week of but in checking emails I saw this complaint and wanted to respond right away. There is no reason who the plumber that installed the water heater could not have gone the same day and pulled the permit, unless the office had emergency calls for him to respond to in which case they should have followed up with you and had the permit pulled and delivered asapWe often will wait until the same day or the day after since with the home warranty accounts, the policy holders can request a cash out from the home warranty and if we have already paid for a permit, there is no way to recoup the cost or time it takes to go and pull the permit. As for the cost of the permit, we also change for our time to pull the permit and to drop it off at the home which averages hours.Concerning a refund as requestedThose fees are an agreement with the policy holder and the home warranty for covered and non covered costs associated with authorized repair or replacementWhy would anyone refund all of those costs and do a + job for free ?I will be sure that the plumber that installed your water heater pulls the permit (before running another call) at the first opportunity since it is a holiday weekend.I do hope that you understand about the delayed response since I have been out of the office for the past weekThis is something that the office staff would not usually share with anyone since it is not business related

After talking to my plumbers and reviewing all of the information available to me, I can offer a camera inspection at no cost so
I can confirm what my plumber stated as the issue was in fact true and accurate
This was a home warranty call and since there was no accessible clean out for the sewer main as required by home warranty policy, Our plumber gave a retail bid to install a clean out, cable the line and camera inspect the line to the house and to the street for
The home owner signed the contract and agreement accepting the bid and day right to cancel waiverWe exposed the line, cut out a section of pipe to install a two-way clean out and attempted to clear the line with a sewer cableThe plumber determined there was a solid obstruction with in the line toward the street and if the street had to be opened to make the repair, the bid would be (total, not in addition to the 1200.00)
The home owner asked the plumber to stop working and agreed to resume the following day (Saturday)Plumber arrived on Saturday morning, spoke to the home owner and arranged to return with a larger sewer machine to attempt clearing the line before determining the only remaining option was to make a repair in the street
The plumber returned within the hour to find another plumbing company working on the same line
The home owner told our plumber to return the following Monday with an itemized bid for the work that had been completedThen I received the Revdex.com report that I am responding to
AHow did another plumber determine there is no further issue without a camera inspection of the sewer line ?
BWhy was another plumbing company called when our plumber not only returned on a Saturday to complete the work but was told to return with the larger machine the same day (the same hour)
C.No need for pipes to be replaced ? The other plumber ran his cable through the access we made
DRoot intrusion happens when there is a break in the sewer line usually at a connection and they do not just go away
To date the home owner has not paid any portion of the invoice for work performed
I will personally meet the home owner and run a camera at no charge and if our plumber's diagnosis was in error, I will of course settle any cost incurred by the homeowner
If I show the home owner that our plumber was not in error and an issue still exists, I would expect payment in full for serviced rendered
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/11/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We asked the plumber to return before we got a second opinionThe other plumber did run a camera through and found that nothing needed to replaced and it was just a line that needed to be unclogged for a total of $City plumbing wanted to replace the line for $which is ridiculous and completely unnecessaryWe did not ask them to return MondayThey never came back or called us to follow upClearly a sign that something shady was going onWe also had to pay $to repair the unnecessary work they startedSo a total of $for something that was fixable for $within a couple hoursThis company is dishonest

him to respond to in which case they should have followed up with you and had the permit pulled and delivered asap. We often will wait until the same day or the day after since with the home warranty accounts, the policy holders can request a cash out from the home warranty and if we have already paid for a permit, there is no way to recoup the cost or time it takes to go and pull the permit. As for the cost of the permit, we also change for our time to pull the permit and to drop it off at the home which averages 2 hours.Concerning a refund as requested. Those fees are an agreement with the policy holder and the home warranty for covered and non covered costs associated with authorized repair or replacement. Why would anyone refund all of those costs and do a 1500.00 + job for free ?I will be sure that the plumber that installed your water heater pulls the permit (before running another call) at the first opportunity since it is a holiday weekend.I do hope that you understand about the delayed response since I have been out of the office for the past week. tankless water heater, we only list what is required by the city, the state and the manufacturer. If the plumber mixed up one job with another, it would have been corrected right away. We have not been in business this long by taking advantage of people. In fact, we are most likely one of the only plumbing service companies that will offer in house financing with zero intertest and have several companies that will loan on service repair projects to help honest people who just need a little help. After my conversation with this guy, I personally called his home warranty and refused to service due to safety concerns for the plumber. I am rejecting this response because: the permit was never pulled.  It also only runs $140 unless they are fined for not pulling a permit.  A permit is to be pulled prior to the job.  Since it was not pulled the $250 and the 2 hours we were charged is fraudulent.  He was paid to install the water heater by my Home Warranty company....the upgrades were what I was to be charged.   I requested a call before the job, during, after etc.  The plumber lied to me about the permit.   The poor professional ethics of this company is reprehensible.   I have filed a claim with the Contractor's Licensing Board and have let my home warranty know of their deceptive ways.  I want at a minimum the $250 and the time refunded for pulling zero permit...failure to do so will cause me to file a civil suit.  I also requested from the plumber an itemized invoice which he said couldn't be done.  Company is not professional.
