Review: I went through my home warranty and filed a claim for a water leak in my house last summer (2015)... water leaking to the hose outside into the house. They sent someone from City Wide Plumbing. The man sat at my kitchen table and told me the leak was coming from behind the drywall at the water hose and that the warranty would not cover it. I live in a townhouse where there is no crawlspace. This man diagnosed the problem, not looking at anything. He took my $100 deductible and left.

I complained to the warranty company. They told me they sent out the contractor that works in my area for the warranty company and that my problem would not be covered. I was not able to afford the repair.

A year later (now), I am trying to sell my home and when we knocked a hole in the drywall and turned the water on. The leak was never coming from the hose, rather a pipe in the ceiling inside the house. I contacted 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty today, 8/4/2016 and they say there is nothing they can do since I didn't renew my coverage.... even though this is a claim improperly handled from last year.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like the leak fixed and the claim honored since City Wide Plumbing didn't properly do their job and I lost out on using my warranty claim.

At minimum, I want my $100 deductible back.

Review: This company installed a new water heater in our home in November, 2013. We had a problemlast week and contacted the company. We were unable to use our hot water for several days. Despite multiple phone calls and conversations with their receptionist, I never got through to anyone in charge. I was told to call my home warranty company and have them send someone out.Desired Settlement: I needed attention to my problem with the work they had done and they blew me off. I got it taken care of elsewhere. I am just interested in alerting the general public to the irresponsible and unreliabe servive provided by this company.

I spoke with [redacted] from the business and she stated that they did install a water heater at the consumers home. They did receive a call stating that the water heater was having problems. In order for the company to go back out to the consumer's home, the consumer would need to get in contact with their warranty provider to give the business permission to return to the consumer's home.

The business installed the water heater. They apparently have no interest in warranting the work they do, or the equipment they install. I did eventually return to my [redacted] company, and the problem was dealt with.

I am not seeking any redress from them, just trying to make my dissatisfaction with their pathetic customer service known to the general public in every way I can.

Review: Well where do I began... City Wide Plumbing was called because of my Home Warranty. They have made three trips to my house, First tech looked like he was high as a kite, changed out the flappers in my toilet, he semi fixed the leak on my shower hot & cold handles, he left so fast didn’t check the toilets to see if they were still leaking or running and left his water tool at our house. I called his cell 2 mins after he left to tell him the problem wasn’t fixed and he said he would call back in 30 mins, he never called or answered his cell again. [redacted] Theresa called four times with no answer he then finely called us at 7:30 pm and said he would be there w/in the hour he later showed up at 9:30pm. (We didn’t answer the door) The following day or so they sent out the [redacted] (husband) he replaced flappers again for the second time and said that should work, it did stop for an hour or so after he left and continued to run again later. The following day AGAIN THE THIRD employee came out [redacted] I believe was his name said oh it’s the flappers and I don’t like those I’ll go get the parts and be back in 15 mins. Four hours later I called City Wide and they had no idea where their truck or their employee was. HE QUIT!! So that same day the [redacted] again came out and said oh what did they do while they were here I’ve been doing this for 50+ years... WELL [redacted] DO YOU NOT REMEMBER COMING TO MY HOUSE two days ago?? Hmmmm I think you need a vacation. Is what I said! This company has the worst customer service and they don’t care about getting the problems/job fixed just want to get paid. However I do want to say [redacted] was helpful as to finely getting the warranty company to assign me to another plumbing company as they have no more employees to send out and I dont believe they know what they are doing. I looked online there are others that have had similar issues . I do hope that the Revdex.com can help in this issues so other customers dont have to go through all this trouble. I have missed three days of work so far b/c they dont come in the time frame that they tell you they will. Terrible company! They missed one appointment, then called the next day to say they went out of business because their accounting books were mess, but now they are back up and running. I gave them a second chance, and one of the owners came out on a Saturday to look at a drip in my tub faucet. He made a huge mess in the bathroom and bedroom on the other side of the wall to get to the valve access. He left to look for a replacement part, came back 2 hours later and told me he couldn't find it. He said he would keep looking, but would need to replace a larger part if no one made it anymore. After a few days he called to tell me the part was no longer made and he would have to do a $500+ job to fix the drip. I took the assembly apart myself, went to one plumbing store and got a replacement for $70 and fixed it myself. This guy is still calling me trying to get money out of me. The company is a scam and the owner knows less about plumbing than I do.

Review: The company was sent out to our property by a home warranty company to look at a leaking toilet. The technician immediately collected payment up front. He then picked up some pieces in the toilet tank, and put them back down. He said the pieces were put in wrong by someone else, said he "repositioned them" as a favor to me, and left. Obviously, this didn't fix the issue, because that wasn't the problem. Because of this, the home warranty company denied my claim, and I'm out $100. I called City Wide to address the issue, and they, in short order, told me to pay $300 if I wanted my toilet actually fixed. I would not even be suprised if it was some sort of scam to get more money out of me than a warranty company. I'm currently in the process of filing complains with the warranty company.Desired Settlement: I either want my toilet fixed correctly, with brand new parts, or I want a refund of my $100 payment.

The response operates under the assumption that City Wide's plumbers diagnosis of my problem of "improper installation" was correct. The information I provided them about my dad replacing the seal on the toilet was just to try to help them understand that the issue was not related to the seals on the toilet, but a different issue altogether. If I would have dreamed that they would try to use that as any sort of argument against actually doing any work on my toilet instead of writing it off as "improper installation" (which was a much quicker way out of my door), I would've let their plumber come up with his own diagnosis instead of giving them an excuse.

Review: I contacted this company to repair a leak in a water line on a property I own. The company verbally quoted me a price for the service. I provided them payment up front and they never provided me an invoice for materiels or labor after repeated requests over the past 60 days. The water leak repair needed to be reported to the county to adjust the water bill. This company failed to provide the letter to the water company following repeated requests. The company has failed to respond to inquiries by me and my tenant.Desired Settlement: I would like an invoice that itemizes the cost of labor and materiels to repair the water leak. I am also seeking an adjustment to the payment I made for the repair. The failure by this company to provide a letter to the water company stating the repair was completed has now made my tenant liable for the entire water bill.

Review: City Wide Plumbing was retained to install a new garbage disposal. The plumber forgot to remove to plug for the dishwasher to drain into the garbage disposal. The 12 year old dishwasher was unable to drain and the water stayed in the bottom of the dishwasher. Thinking the dishwasher had come to the end of its working life, we purchased a new dishwasher and retained another service to have it installed. Once the dishwasher was installed, the service man advised who ever installed the new garbage disposal forgot to remove the plug from the drain pipe on the disposal. Had the plumber removed the plug, the dishwasher would have drained and we would not have believed the dishwasher needed to be replaced.Desired Settlement: City Wide Plumbing charged $145.00 to install the new garbage disposal and some additional work to the plumbing pipes under the sink. I talked to the owner, [redacted], and requested a 50% refund of the installation amount($72.50). He offered a $20.00 refund. I advised [redacted] had his employee installed the disposal in a correct manner, I would not have found it necessary to replace the dishwasher. [redacted] was not willing to enter into any additional negotiation.

Review: Came to my home 3/18/15 to resolve water leak from guest bathroom. Replaced tub spout and in the process moved pipes, pushing handles for hot and cold water out so no longer flush to shower wall, creating a worse gap than the original one. Rendered shower in operable and ignored calls/email asking to come back out and fix. Had to hire another plumber to fix the problem CityWide created.Desired Settlement: Refund of $140.00 paid to City Wide.

06/27/2014. DID NOT RENEW HER CONTRACT. SO, MRS. [redacted] CALLED CITY WIDE

PLUMBING TO COME OUT FOR A SERVICE CALL ON 03/08/2015 FOR A WATER LEAK IN THE

UPSTAIRS MASTER BATH, HER TUB SPOUT AND CONTROLLERS IN THE TUB WAS LEAKING.

PLEASE LOOK AT [redacted] 1 YOU CAN SEE THE GAP THAT THE WATER LEAK DID

DAMAGE TO THE CONTROLLERS, IN RESULT OF THIS ALSO LOOK AT [redacted] 2 THE

OLDTUB SPOUT HAD A GAP BETWEEN TUB SPOUT AND WALL CAUSING WATER LEAK ALSO, AND

THE WATER LEAK CAME FROM THESE 2 TPICTURES. ALSO, KEEP IN MIND MR. [redacted] TOLD

MRS. [redacted] THE OLD TUB SPOUT COULD BE FIXED AND MRS. [redacted] INSISTED ON A

BRAND NEW ONE. IN WHICH IS [redacted]. HOLES THAT MR. [redacted] MADE WAS ONLY TWO,

THIS CAN BE SEEN ON [redacted], WHERE THE ARROWS ARE POINTING TO. THE OTHER

HOLES WAS DONE BY MR. OR MRS. [redacted] IN TRYING TO FIX THE SITUTATION THEIR

SELVES BY RIGGING THE PIPE AND TUB SPOUT WITH A COAT HANGER AND A BOARD IN

BETWEEN, IN WHICH IS SEEN ON [redacted] AND# 4, AND CAUSING THE LEAKING ON

CONTROLLERS AND OLD TUB SPOUT, IN WHERE THE COAT HANGER AND BOARD WAS PUT IN,

THRU THE WEEKS, MONTHS, THIS RIGGING SLID DOWN AND LOSEN THE HOLD AND THIS IS

HOW MRS. [redacted] LEAKS STARTEDNOW, ON [redacted] THIS IS WHERE MR.

[redacted] MADE ACCESS TO GET TOO THE LEAKING PROBLEMS IN WHICH WAS FROM TUB SPOUT

AND DOWN, THE HOLE UNDER NEATH THE CABINET WAS WHERE MRS. [redacted] TOLD

MR. [redacted] WHERE THE LEAK WAS LOCATED, IN WHICH HE OPEN UP AND FOUND NO LEAKS AT

THAT SECTION. MR. [redacted] MADE THE 2No ACCESS HOLES IN WHICH THE PICTURES SHOULD

SHOW EVIDENCE. MRS. [redacted] DID NOT THINK MR. [redacted] WAS GOING TO MAKE

AN ACCESS WHERE THE WOOD AND COAT HANGER WAS APPLIED. WHEN MR. [redacted] MADE HIS

ACCESS AT THE TUB SPOUT AND DOWN, THE BIG HOLE ABOVE SHOWING TURN OFF VALVE ON

[redacted] WAS ALREADY OPENED. AS YOU CAN SEE ON [redacted], MR. [redacted] PUT THE

SMALL BOARD AND SENTIONAL SHEET ROCK THAT HE HAD ON HIS VAN, TO FIX THIS

SITUATION. NOW, ON [redacted] 5 TO THE LEFT THIS HOLE WAS ALREADY MADE, BY WHO WE

DO NOT KNOW, THIS IS WHERE MRS. [redacted] SAID IN HER REPORT THAT MR.

[redacted] MADE A MESS AND DID NOT CLEAN HIS AREA. WELL, MR. [redacted] ASKED MRS.

[redacted] IF SHE HAD A DUST PAN AND BROOM AND HE WOULD SWEEP IT UP AND

CLEAN THE AREA. IN MRS. [redacted]'S RESPONSE TO MR. [redacted] WASNO NEED TO BOTHER,

I WILL SWEEP THIS AREA FOR YOU, IN WHICH SHE OFFERED TO D01 OR THAT IS WHAT SHE

TOLD MR. [redacted] ... ALSO, IF YOU LOOK AT THE INVOICE, THAT CITY WIDE PLUMBING

LEFT FOR MRS. [redacted], THIS DOES HAVE EITHER HER OR HER HUSBAND'S

SIGNATURE. MR. [redacted] SAID IT WAS MRS. [redacted] SIGNATURE. IF, MRS.

[redacted] HAD A QUESTION, CONCERN, MIS UNDERSTANDING OF THE SITUATION OR JUST ANY

OTHER QUESTIONS, WHY DID SHE SIGN THE INVOICE AND PAID MR. [redacted]$ 140.00 WITH

CHECK# [redacted], IN WHICH IS A COPY OF HER CHECK MRS. [redacted] GAVE TO MR.

[redacted] ALSO, THIS AMOUNT WAS VERY, VERY CHEAP FOR THE WORK THAT MR. [redacted] DID,

AS FAR AS THE REPAIR, CHAULKING, MAKING 2 HOLES AND CHARGING$ 70.00 FOR QUOTE

THAT WAS ADDED IN TO THE$ 140.00. IN WHICH IF YOU ADD UP AND LOOK AT THE

INVOICE THE OTHER$ 70.00 IS WHAT ALL MRS. [redacted] PAID FOR ALL OF THE

WORK ABOVE THAT MR. [redacted] DID. YES, WE DID GIVE MRS. [redacted] A BREAK ON

THE AMOUNT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BUT, MRS. [redacted] WAS A REPEAT CUSTOMER

TO CITY WIDE PLUMBING FROM HER HOME WARRANTY, WE AT CITY WIDE PLUMBING LIKE TO

KEEP OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS, SO WE HELP THE REPEAT CUSTOMERS AS MUCH AS WE CAN.

MR. [redacted] IS TAKING THIS MATTER VERY HARD, THIS IS HIS LICENSE HIS REPUTATION

AND THE QUALITY WORK HE DOES, HE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND . WHY A CUSTOMER, A REPEAT

CUSTOMER COULD LIE ON HER COMMENT AND THOUGHT SHE WOULD GET A REFUND BACK. ONE

OF OUR RULES ARE, IF ANY OTHER DAMAGE IS DONE AROUND YOUR WORK AREA, TAKE A

PICTURE TO PROVE CITY WIDE PLUMBING DID NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE- A PICTURE IS

WORTH A MILLION BUCKS AND IN THIS CASE THE TRUTH OF THE MATIER. IF CITY WIDE

PLUMBING OR OUR TECHNICIAN'S OR OWNERS MADE A MISTAKE OR DID NOT DO THE REPAIR

CORRECTLY, WE WOULD STAND UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING. MRS. [redacted] DID

NOT CALL CITY WIDE PLUMBING TO MAKE A COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS SITUATION, SHE

IN HER OWN WORDS DID QUESTION THE REPUTATION OF CITY WIDE PLUMBING. AS FAR AS A

REFUND, I AS ONE OF THE OTHER OWNERS SAY "NO SHE WILL NOT RECEIVE

ONE". I SHOULD BE TAKING MRS. [redacted] TO COURT FOR MAKING FALSE

STATEMENTS THAT COULD OR WILL RUIN A COMPANY THAT HAS NOTHING BUT A GOOD

REPUTATION WITH DOING THE RIGHT THING. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE A LETTER SEND

TO CITY WIDE PLUMBING KNOW HOW THIS CONCLUSION WAS TAKEN. YOU HAVE ANY OTHER

I have received a long, unsatisfactory response to my complaint. I am not satisfied.

This company is the most unorganized and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. The owner is rude and not customer service oriented at all. When you call the assistants put you on hold because they have no idea what they are doing and cannot even tell you whether or not you are on the schedule. I had to call 3 times in order to find out why technician did not show up only to have the owner get on the phone and interrupt me so that I could not talk. The owner told me I was rude to her employee and then proceeded to yell and scream at me with out giving me an opportunity to explain my situation and then told me they did not want my business. I will never use this company or refer them to anyone I know.
