Is it possible for me to give stars? DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANYWe rented from them for a full year, paid a $deposit when we moved in to the townhomeThey claimed we left over $1,in damage when we moved out (the place was immaculate when we left and better than when we moved inThe lady that did our final walk through even asked my husband to have me send them pictures to use as the model for the website!! We repainted, got carpets professionally cleaned and provided the receipt, filled in nail holes, scrubbed base boards, etc.) You would think that if we had $1,in damage they would want us to pay them what our deposit didn’t cover, but they didn’tWhy? Because they kept our security deposit when nothing was wrong with the homeNever provided receipts for purchases replacing the things they claimed were broken
We moved out of the townhome because we bought a homeCJ Real Estate was notified of this and was told they could show the townhome whenever they wanted since it was clean and now vacant (even though we were still paying rent for the next month)They had a key to the townhome but I was still called on quite a few occasions asking if I could meet them at the house in minutes because they needed to show it...in the middle of the work weekThen when I asked them about the spare key they should have to the home, they had nothing to sayBut it was being shown quite often somehow and I wasn’t letting them inI had to call more than times to tell them to stop calling me at work to meet them when they forgot the key at their office
I paid the last months rent and was told there was a couple who wanted to move in before my lease date was upI was asked if I would be ok with thatIn return, I asked them if I’d be refunded the prorated amount of rent I had already paid for the month since other people would be moving in earlyAnswer: no, of course not
Majority of the employees even think this company scams people but they get in trouble for speaking upSadThis company takes people’s money and I hope every potential renter reads this before allowing them to do soThere are better places to rent from

BEWARE!!!! This company leased us a place that has major issues! The leasing agent didn't have a clue about anything when we were asking her questions about the placeWhen I asked her why the water pressure was so low she said we would have to contact the cityWell that was a bunch of ***! This place has obviously been having major issues with plumbing and it's foundation for some time nowWe have put in many maintenance requests trying to get the issues fixed and they don't do anything but come out and verify that there's an issueThe owner of the property will not pay to get it fixedDon't make the same mistake I didIf you don't believe me ask to see the place and try turning on the hot water in the shower or sink and you will see little to no water pressureFoundation leaks every time it rains as wellOn top of those major issues the maintenance we get from this company is half *** at bestThey didn't even mow our backyard for multiple months but mowed our neighbors backyard every timeTo attempt to fix the water pressure in our kitchen sink which is just one of the many places the water pressure is screwed they replaced the faucet with hardware that looks used and broke again within a month of using it*** *** ** *** *** ** *** - DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!

I am a new tenant who just acquired the unit in GrandviewPrior to the mothe lease being signedI had put the utilities in my name and found that the previous tenant's water was offThe unit was not cleaned and was left in a dirty conditionI have had maintenance at my location times so far since my moving in over weeks agoI am still getting my things set up and pride my self on being a very clean personI took pictures and made a video the same day also when the agent was taking picturesThey do not want to compensate me for cleaning the unit when they are to hire people to clean the unitI am sure they assessed the person prior fees and took off of the deposit and they do not want to compensate me for the terrible way the unit was leftI have found things under the cabinet sink which looks like it is about to cave in from the previous tenanttrash was left in the cabinets and closetsI am going to report it here since they are not willing to compensate me and I will file a better business complaint and will have my Attorney contact themI am thankful that I know where to look for the Missouri tenant/landlord rules and regulationsthis is just unacceptable to have these issues and I have not even occupied the place for a month yet, but will have my rent paid prior to the rent due dateI want to give ZERO STARS BUT IT IS NOT AN OPTION AT THIS TIME

My husband and I rented a Lee's Summit townhome from CJ Real Estate (Blue Springs, MO location) and we did not get our full security deposit back ($1050) once we were done rentingWhen we moved into the rental property in April 2016, the property was not moready; my husband had vacuumed multiple loads of pet hair from the carpetClearly the carpet was neither new or professionally cleanedIn 2017, we bought a house and served notice that we were not going to renew our leaseWe received a move-out packet that asked for professionally cleaned carpet with a copy of the receiptWe countered that CJ Real Estate should provide US with a receipt of having cleaned the carpet before we moved inOn June 22, 2017, we received an email confirmation from owner Christy *** - copying me, my husband, and CJ Real Estate employee Corby *** - stating, "Yes on the 6th of this month [JUNE] I had stated [TO THE ***] not to clean the carpets they were suppose to have been replaced and t

The people working at CJ Real Estate are great and always promptNever had a problem

This company appears to have everything together and advertises great properties and follows through by having an online showing appointment makerAfter setting up appointments to look at home for days, I received emails stating the home is no longer available, the property is still being occupiedHad it of been 1-yes that's possible but as it appears none of their listings are available except the properties in very dangerous neighborhoods that are not even comparable to the homes I had set up to look atScam!

I give this company a D ratingWhen we were originally trying to find a place (beginning of July, 2017) properties were shown to us and we decided we liked one amd wanted to move forward only to find out the locations were not actually available until late September! Finally I asked which properties WERE available and picked one from those Fine, we like it enoughScheduled to move in on a Friday, with weeks left of the monthThe agent showed up about hours later than agreed upon to get the keys and do the walkthrough before mo(he hadnt factored in traffic) fine, things happenWe had all utilities on in our names by the morning of move in dateI happened to check the website where you can view rent due etc, about weeks laterThey tried to charge us for a week of water bill stating it had not been in our names til a week laterWe produced receipts and the charge disappearedNow, the second full month of living here, Sep My husband took the check into the office last week (on the 1st) and received a receipt(There is the option to pay rent online, for a 3.5% fee) The check has yet to come out of our bamk account, so I checked their website, it states we haven't and have a $fine tacked onto the billI calledThe lady told me that it costs so much because it was lateI explained to her that it the check was delivered on time and that we have receipt proofShe said oh one moment, and forwarded me to a voicemailI reiterated my statement to the voicemail and am waiting for responseThe pros:
They have someone out as much as necessary to mow the grass(Every week or two)
They are out the next day if you have a maintenance issue(The sink drain had been poorly welded and was leaking profusely)

Staff is great, very responsive to issues and needsGreat experience and will recommend company to friends and family

The owner of the property agreed to refund $300 on July 13 and that was sent out in the mail.

This was refunded today.  Our policy is to wait 2 to 3 weeks from the initial payment to ensure the payment will not result in an NSF or be rejected for some reason

Maintenance is calling to get all the issues that need to be repaired.  We only showed outstanding was  a leaking dishwasher.  Items of concern prior to 9-16-16 would need to be taken up with the previous company at ###-###-####.Once we get a list of what is outstanding, we will be...

happy to get them scheduled.
