My wife's car was hit and disabled Sat Jul 30th Shiloh Police called Classic Auto for tow service We told the tow driver we wanted it towed to Perfect Finish in Fairview Heights, about miles away The driver said that he had to tow it to Classic Auto yard (about miles away) till Monday because no one was in the office to do the paperwork We were not told that a storage fee would be applied to our insurance They charged $for towing and storage which raised the estimate for repairing the car because no one was in the office to do the paperwork A competent business would have the ability to tow the vehicle and complete the paperwork once someone is in the office so as not to charge the customer an outrageous amount for unnecessary storage Their hours are advertised as Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with 24/Towing Service so you would think the driver would/should have the ability to tow the vehicle to where the customer wants it and complete the paperwork Th

A vehicle was impounded at am on 1/17/Business was closed until 8amCall once I arrived at Swansea PD at 8am the next dayBusiness opened at stated could not release without slip from officer left number advised by owner will call soon as paperwork arriveThen stated $cash for release ask for break down then he got irritatedStated not releasing until $cash is receivedAsk PD to file complaint said contact attorney general which I didGot to the tow yard and the owner was yelling about my questions about feesHe stated nothing going to happen, he works with Pd he stated and attorney general and this agency [redacted] stated my complaint will fall on death ears then he called Pd right before releasing the vehicle for $stating $for standard fee and $for administration feesThe rest was for storageI do not owe for storage when I was there when business open to get the vehicle only storage was while business was not open to the public

Dear Revdex.com: In accordance with claim ID # [redacted] , the Saturn Ion was brought in on January 17, 2018.The vehicle left our facility on January 18, Unfortunately it is unlawful for us to not charge the customer for any storageOur storage fees are forty dollars per daySo as for the thirty-five dollars requested, I cannot give the refund because those are not our fees, and we can not refund one-hundred percent of the storageWe already did not charge the customer for January , which we were not required to doThe vehicle was brought in by our local police department because the customer broke the law Any police department tows, regardless of the reason, have a minimum of a forty dollar storage feeWe have been in business for thirty years and have received minimal complaintsIf you would like to view the video of the customer in our office, we would provide that to a Revdex.com representative that is willing to come to our place of business for viewingWe would like to have this matter put to bed as soon as possible before we have to get our attorney involvedIf it was legal for us to give back the forty dollars for one day of storage, we would be more than happy to complyHowever, it is unlawful for us to not charge a customer for any storageStorage fees are charged because we pay insurance for the entire lot, it is under surveillance at all hours with multiple cameras at multiple angles, and has a privacy fenceThis is all to ensure that the customer's vehicles are safe and protected at all times while in our possessionIf we did not charge this customer any storage, we would have to not charge any customer any storageIt is not fair for this customer to demand refund for a car that sat on our lot overnightIt saddens me that somebody would argue a storage fee after we already refunded them for one dayHowever, we cannot refund all of the storage fees on this ticket.Thank you[redacted] : Owner

This business stole my radio out of my vehicle while being repairedThey lied about the insurance claimThe body work is absolutely horribleThey have a drunk doing the auto body work on vehiclesThey used junkyard parts on my carIt will cost more to fix the horrible work that was already paid for to be completed by a reputable compamy

This company is overcharging and cheating people for towing and storage charges, illegallyThey towed one of my customers vehicles by order of the Swansea, IL police on 8-2-I went the Swansea, IL police station hours after the tow to get a police release for the vehicleWhile at the PDI asked for a copy of Classic Towing current rates (the police department is required by law to provide this when requested)The woman helping said she has no idea what Classic charges and has nothing on file with the ratesShe then gave me my police release for the vehicleI then went to Classic Towing to retrieve the vehicle to avoid storage chargesClassic had only had the vehicle n their lot for hours when I arrivedIn IL, no towing service can charge storage until the vehicle has been on their lot for hours or longerThey charged me storage for days stating they go by "calendar days" and not by the IL vehicle codeI even tried to show the woman who was helping me the IL vehicle code and she said, "If do not like it to take it up with the Swansea Police Dept because they signed off on it." I did pay the storage so I could get the vehicle back and avoid more chargesI am in the same towing business and I know that there are laws set forth by the state of IL to regulate these "predatory charges" by these cheating companiesPlease do your research before you too are ripped offDo let this company or any other towing company make you their next victimIf you feel you have been a victim of this towing business or any other, you can file a complaint on line with the Illinois Commerce Commission Police

I am rejecting this response because: I have documentation where I called the business at 8am as I was at the police station next doorPlus the time the officer wrote the release was after speaking with him about complaint process When I called the tow yard
they was unable to release because he said he was waiting on slip from PD not meIf I was not already trying to file a complaint before ever arriving because the owner was dishonarble and unprofessional over the phoneKnow one goes to the police department first unless the initial interaction was unprofessional which I stated on record at the police station with *** ***So as stated I want my $dollars back for storage feeIt made it impossible with the phone call which lead to complaint at the station then proceeded to out right dishonor upon arriving at the buainessI believe it is fair for the Revdex.com to view the video and to take into account my reporting at the PD and my documented calls to the business at 8am

August I took my Dodge Challenger to them because I was in an accidentI gave the man there the check in August to get my car fixedI got a $15,check to get my car fixed from a judgementThe owner will not return my phone callsThe guy who answers the phone told me I call too much and if I want my car fixed I shouldn't call so muchI gave them the money in August and I still do not have my carThey are treating me very unfairlyThey tell me every week my car will be fixed in a weekNo one every returns my phone callsI am a single parent an I need my carThey have had my car for months and I am still without a carThey keep saying they need more money for things that were not on the estimateI gave them thousands of dollars and my car should have been fixed a long time ago.  My paperwork says my car would be ready in days,  and it has  been monthsI want my car back completely fixed or my $15,back

***, deemed this vehicle a total loss*** * decided that she wanted to keep the vehicle and have the repairs doneThe other body shop gave her a total of $4,to repair the vehicleShe was not happy with that total and started to shop around*** * decided to have her vehicle moved to our shop, Classic Auto Body, on June 19"At this time, days has passed since her vehicle was involved in the accidentOur estimator went over the vehicle with *** *and discussed everything that she wanted fixed*** * was asked if she wanted new or used parts put on her vehicle and she decided that she wanted used parts to save moneyOur estimator gave her the total of $3,to repair her vehicleThat saved *** * S1,204.33, compared to the other shopWe also painted her hood for her free of charge to help her outShe agreed to the above charges and we repaired her vehicle*** * picked up the vehicle on June 29" and was happy with the repairsWe had her vehicle for a total of days*** * did call back on July 7" and said she had a right turn signal bulb outWe informed her that we did not do any repairs to the right sideAll of the damage was on the left side of her vehicle that we repaired, but bring the vehicle by and we would take a took at it for her free of chargeShe never showed up and she never pointed out any damage to the right side when we went over the estimate with herRight side damage was also never on the estimate from the first body shop she had the vehicle at as wellShe did finally stop by on July 10th complaining about her hood release cable (that was not part of the repairs)Our technician took a look at it for her for free and determined that it did need to be replaced due to regular maintenanceWe offered to do the labor for free, but she would have to buy the part*** * refused to buy the part and did not want the work done*** * also complained about the Washer fluid not workingThat was addressed while her vehicle was in our shop, but she did not want to pay to have that fixed.Our estimator went above and beyond to make sure *** * was a happy customer, which she was at time of pick upWe saved her money and did the repairs in a timely mannerHer allowance for rental was up on June 14"She had the rental around days before her vehicle was even brought to Classic Auto BodyOur shop is in no way responsible for rentalWe take pride in our work and strive for excellent customer service.Sincerely,Leon T***

She did not bring the vehicle to us, it was a police call concerning an underage driver who was not insured. The reason we did the work was because one of our other customers was related to her. She didn’t have insurance and told her what the estimate was and that she would have to put money down in...

order for us to get started on the repairs. We didn’t get any payment from them until September. At that point one of the dash parts listed on the estimate was not available anymore. We told her several times that was what the hold up because at the time of the estimate we were going to get her these specific parts, which were slightly used. We offered her new parts and she would have to pay the difference but she didn’t want to do that. That is why we are stuck at this spot. She doesn’t want to pay anymore for it. We are not going to take of it on our expense. I explained this situation to her, her boyfriend, some other gentleman and even her lawyer. With insurance, the car would’ve been totaled out, because the repairs were about $15,000, we told her this and she insisted on having it repaired. It is a complete lie that we ignored her calls. We told her if she comes in and signs a piece of paper that says when the vehicle is done and finished she will pay  the $1120 which is the difference between the parts price then We will put out the money now get the new parts and finish the vehicle. She refuses to sign it. We tried to explain to her what we gave her what an estimate, not a final bill. She is responsible for that difference since she does not have insurance. This is where we are at right now, since she will not pay any more money for any more work.

I don't  feel like the issue has been resolved fairly and justly. I've   tried to resolve the issue that I had with this business on my own. I believe  that,  I  have been treated unfairly by this business. When I returned  with my truck to do business, I didn't  feel welcome  by any of the employees. I also feel  I was charged unfairly for the price of fixing my vehicle.They broke a latch on the hood of my car and never said anything,  they also never fixed dent that was I n my quote from previous body shop..also told me I was receiving a discount when they ended up charging me more money then was on quote.I trusted the services provided  by this business  to fix my truck and the business  has never  tried to reach out to me to resolve these issues personally  with me
