I know for a fact where my dog came from, and it was not *** petWhen I purchased him, I was given all his paper work from his breeder, his name, a photo of the breeder and a photo of his mother and father (which he does not look like). When a dog is AKC registered, it doesnt mean much, all it simply means is that his parents/ relatives were registeredThe AKC does not do health screenings, structure, physique, or temperament tests. Anyone can lie to the AKC about who the parents are, its a no brainer, which is what happened in my caseThe breeders *** and *** *** lied to the AKC about who his parents are. My dog looks like an American Bulldog, and anyone who sees him will agree. I have attached the papers of the breeders, and picture of my mixed breed bulldog sold at the price of a pure english as well as the potential mother/father of my dogBecause they look exactly the same in the face.

My puppy is still damaged goods, and that was absolutely not disclosed to me PRIOR to purchaseTo exchange the dog would be going against the store's policy of no returns, and it would be unfair to myself because I have become attached to the puppy, taken the puppy to the vet several times, and have spent a lot of time training herYes, I paid a discounted price for her, but according to the store's manager, was because they had only made one sale that day and needed the saleNot because the puppy had had a procedure and wasn't 100% healthyIf I had known in the store there were health issues of ANY kind, especially those that cannot be corrected, my decision would have strongly been influenced They were not even forthcoming with the medical history at the store, or when exchanging the paperworkI have no problem taking this to small claims court because the store misrepresented the puppy's medical history and current health status at the time of purchase, and the actions taken after the mistake had been realized were unprofessional, and still not accurateThe puppy from the original paperwork and the puppy I have are not siblingsThe first folder said the puppy was born 10/19/2016, the new one says 10/21/So even in the message in response to my complaint was dishonestI am not even sure they are aware of what they are talking about at this pointAll I want is for this business to take responsibility for their mistake, and compensate me for my sweet puppy's defect that they mislead me about in the storeI never asked for a breeding guarantee, but the possibility of breeding WAS and STILL IS important to me, and honesty is definitely important, especially when making a big purchase or accepting a new member into my familyI was not able to make an informed decision about this puppy prior to purchase because of YOUR mistake.I really hope you will do the right thing so I have no need to pursue things further

I have had have an expert bulldog breeders look at him, and they too insist that he is not full bloodI will be purchasing a DNA kit, and the results should be back in 3-4weeks.If I show valid proof that my dog is not what you sold him as, I would like compensation. However, if comes back that my dog is full blooded English bulldog, then I'll gladly accept that

Lacey Tongate

This letter is in response to the recent complaint filed by customer *** ***Ms*** did not purchase any pet from Petland Carriage PlaceThe original purchaser is listed as a Mr*** *** who purchased a Victorian Bulldog from the Petland Carriage Place location on 6/10/At
the time of purchase, the puppy was healthy and cleared for sale by a licensed veterinarianNeither Ms*** nor Mr*** contacted Petland or our customer support team regarding any health concerns until 6/14/On 6/14/2017, Ms*** advised that the Victorian bulldog owned by Mr*** had passed away and claimed the cause to be an apparent heart failureDocumentation was requested from the customer On 6/20/2017, a voicemail was left for the number listed in the original purchaser’s file requesting the documentation againOn 6/21/2017, records from *** Veterinary Hospital were received via faxAccording to the records submitted by the customer(s), the owner called the veterinary hospital on 6/13/and advised the pet had passed away at home and that she would be bringing the pet inThe pet presented deceased, the owner inquired about a possible cause, the notes in the records submitted indicate a discussion regarding heat stroke versus and unknown cause took placeCardiac disease could not be confirmed unless a necropsy was performed to which the customer declined Petland Provides options of a replacement value in the event of a hereditary or congenital passing through the puppies for a lifetime programThis program requires that regular purchases of certain required items be made every 30-days from the Petland Carriage Place location in order to be maintainedUnfortunately, because the customer failed to maintain their lifetime program and no confirmed cause of death could be provided, any replacement options were declined at that time Petland offers our condolences for the loss of this pet and understand it is never easy to lose a family memberIn light of the situation, Petland has agreed to exceed the original warranty and Lifetime program obligations and replace the pet with a bulldog at no cost to the customerThe customer is aware of this replacement option and is in acceptance of the replacement petSincerely, Petland Carriage Place

we live a hour drive away from this placeThis was discussed at the time of our purchaseWe did not expect to have to return to deal with issues that they did not disclose to usThey should respect us enough not yo ask us or expect us to havebto make that drive again to deal with this issue as that costs us more having to take days off of work to make that drive than it does for us to take him to a nearby vetThey should have plans in place to help with issues that are not 100% typical for them and understand that not all of their clients live right there in townInstead, they only assist in you going to a bet that they pay off to clear animals that are not healthyThis is proven in the numerous Revdex.com, Yelp and Angie’s List complaints against them

To whom it may concern, This letter is in response to the recent complaint filed by customer Ms*** *** who purchased a male Siberian husky puppy with assigned microchip number *** from the Petland Carriage place on 10/11/Petland strives to ensure healthy acclamation for
puppies going to their forever homes by providing the necessary supplies to keep puppy happy and healthy during their transitionEach puppy that leaves our store is sent home with these acclamation items which are included in the purchase price of the puppyThese items must be tracked through our store’s inventory system and therefore are itemized on each receiptThe items are then discounted to eliminate any additional charges as is done in Ms***'s attached purchase receiptThe customer originally was interested in purchasing two husky puppies. The puppy in question was originally priced at $2,999.99, however, the customer was offered a discount for purchasing both puppiesUltimately, the customer elected to purchase one puppy but was still provided the same discounted price of $2,including the acclamation kit, which the customer acceptedDue to the customer’s distance, she elected to have the puppy delivered to her home for a $delivery fee bringing her purchase to $2,prior to applicable state taxesIn order to complete this purchase, Ms*** elected to use a Third party finance companyThis third party lender electronically sends the financing agreement along with terms and conditions directly to the buyerThe customer is then required to answer security questions to verify their identity and open the contractAfter opening the contract, the customer can then freely read all terms/conditions, the amount financed, payment details and all other contract information before clicking signature fields at which point they can apply their signature and finalize the purchase documentsMs*** was presented a copy of the attached receipt as well as copies of the attached purchase contract that was signed and agreed to upon delivery as well as electronic copies of her financing agreement from the Lender directlyThe customer accepted the puppy along with all included supplies at the time of delivery and expressed no concern with the puppy or the purchase at that timeThe customer first contacted our customer support team on 11/7/with concerns on the price of her pet and requested to return the puppy for a refundDue to the customer’s previous acceptance of the store’s zero return policy and having had the puppy in her home for an extended period of time, the customer’s request was denied. On 12/9/the customer again contacted our customer support team and requested to surrender the pet back to the store but expressed she would not be paying the original third party financing agreement used to purchase her petThe customer’s request was again declinedDue to the time since purchase and the customer’s original acceptance of all terms, conditions and details of her purchase, we are unfortunately unable to offer any returns or reimbursement in this caseSincerely, Petland Carriage Place

The customer purchased an English Bulldog from the Petland Carriage Place on 5/20/2016. The puppy is registered through the American Kennel Club (AKC) which is the highest, most sought after registry, and is also the longest standing registry. The AKC does not register mixed breeds and keeps record of the sire and dam of their registered puppies. The customer can contact the AKC and have the bloodlines researched for any and all concerns pertaining to the breed of her puppy. The Petland Carriage Place does not and would not benefit from falsifying the breed information of their puppies. DNA tests are used primarily for mixed breed puppies, and may yield various results even if done multiple times on the same puppy. These DNA tests also are not accurate and hold no validity in this situation. DNA tests are not meant to be used on pure bred puppies. The customer is provided all necessary registry information and documentation proving her puppy is indeed an English Bulldog and she may follow up with the AKC to confirm the information provided is accurate.

First and foremost we are sorry to hear of the customers concern and apologize for any inconveniences she has had with our location. Mrs. [redacted] had come into the store on 8/4/2016 and decided at that time to purchase a Pomsky puppy. Mrs. [redacted] did not have the full amount of funds needed to process...

the transaction so she was provided the option to pay via a payment plan with IGW and Mariner financing. Her husband Mr. [redacted] had been approved for $3000.00 on Mariner financing but later refused to come in and complete the paperwork. In light of the situation Petland Carriage Place had offered to issue the customer a credit for the amount of the IGW financing towards another puppy once the financing contract was paid off. The customer had agreed to this settlement.  Petland Carriage Place strives to provide the best experience possible for all of our customers and we hope that this issue is resolved as it was a previously agreed upon settlement between the customer and the Petland Carriage Place.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

First and foremost, Petland Carraige Place did not misrepresent the puppy as the customer states and it was simply a mistake with the paperwork in which the Petland Carriage Place caught, and contacted the customer within 2 days of the purchase to notify her of this mistake. There is a very big difference in misrepresentation and making a mistake. The puppy that the customer was provided was marked at an additional $1000.00 in which the Petland Carriage Place is not asking for from the customer. A hernia repair is not a health concern, as it is corrected and poses no long term health concerns whatsoever. Petland Carriage Place is sorry that the customer feels the way that they do. In light of the situation, and on top of the $1000.00 the customer had already gotten off of the puppy, Petland Carriage Place has offered to provide an additional $500.00 in the form of company check to the customer.

To Whom It may Concern: This letter is in response to the recent complaint initiated by mutual customer, [redacted].  Ms. [redacted] purchased a boxer puppy from Petland Carriage Place on 2/18/2016 using a third party financing company. On this date prior to purchase, Ms. [redacted] opted to apply for...

our financing programs in order to seek approval through one of our partnered financing companies. This application is a broad spectrum application and is used in determining the possibility of approval through any of these companies.  Upon filling out and signing the attached application, Ms. [redacted] consented to a credit check with these affiliated companies. As stated in the application, the signee gives permission to (including but not limited to UCFS) to make whatever inquiries they deem necessary to evaluate the customer’s credit. The customer also agreed to authorize any third party to release whatever information is requested for these purposes. Ms. [redacted] was approved through the Help Card, Petland Credit Card (Comenity bank) and [redacted] finance but only has an active loan through the [redacted] finance company. Although the customer was approved for multiple contracts, the only financial responsibility is towards the finance company that was chosen for her purchase charges.  As this financial information is kept private once a customer has been approved, the customer Ms. [redacted] would be the only person with the ability to contact the other approved institutions directly to cancel or remove any previous inquiries or approvals. Thanks so much!

First and foremost, Petland is very sorry to hear about the negative experience the customer has had at our location. We strive to provide quality pets to all of our customers, and provide all documentation to show the origin of the puppies we provide to our customers. This English Bulldog that the...

customer purchased on 5/20/2016 is actually registered with the AKC (American Kennel Club) which is the most sought after and reputable registry. Puppies that are registered through the AKC are able to be provided pedigrees or lineage information (family tree) of their puppy to show who the parents, grandparents, even great grandparents were. The AKC is extremely diligent when processing registration requests and applications through their registry, and is a pure bred registry only, so a mixed breed puppy would not be eligible to be registered through the AKC. The documentation that is provided at the time of purchase is all legitimate and this information can be verified again by the AKC. We are sorry that the customer feels that she was provided falsified documentation. Going to the statement of the puppy coming from a puppy mill, this could not be farther from the truth. Petland does not associate themselves with puppy mills and only uses USDA certified breeders, or hobby breeders that may only have 2-3 breeding females on their grounds at a time. All of our breeders and distributors are inspected randomly and annually to assure all regulation are followed precisely. This puppy came from [redacted] Pet- who has no violations on inspections and have been a reputable source for healthy puppies. The accusations that are on the HSUS website or other websites such as nopetstorepuppies.com do not have valid information, nor do they provide current inspection reports on the facilities. All of this information is provided at the time of purchase as Petland has nothing to hide about our breeders. If the customer should have any additional concerns about her puppy or her purchase she may contact our customer support group PAWsitive Solutions at ###-###-#### and they will gladly assist in answering any and all questions the customer may have about her puppy.

To whom it may concern,We are sorry to hear that the customer has encountered these

customers are provided with
100% health coverage for any health issues attributed to the puppy’s time at
the store.
As stated in the signed contract from the day of purchase,
all coverage is provided at [redacted] Animal hospital. These veterinarians are
licensed professionals that would be happy to consult with the customer’s
personal veterinarian to explain their treatment protocol. We understand that
the customer states they did not feel comfortable driving back to the
veterinarian who suggested a different treatment course. However, it is common
for any all living creatures to respond to treatments differently. Even humans
require different treatment protocols sometimes to resolve the same issue. The
veterinarian did not stall on providing treatment in order to bill the
customer. All treatment is provided to the customer at no cost until the puppy
is fully cleared. It does not terminate before that point. Additionally, the
customer may return to [redacted] Animal hospital at any time to receive treatment
at no cost to them. If the customer’s puppy is not getting better at their
personal veterinarian we would highly recommend they return to [redacted] Animal
hospital so that they may resolve all concerns.
If the customer’s other dogs are showing any symptoms please
contact PAWSitive Solutions, the store’s third party customer support team so
that they can arrange treatment at [redacted] Animal hospital at no cost to the
customer’s family.  They can be reached
at ###-###-####.
This customer is incorrect that the puppy is from a “puppy
mill.” Platinum Puppies is a distributor and not the breeder. That company
works with the breeders and stores directly to provide safe transport from the
breeder’s home to the store. The customer was provided with the breeder’s information
and may request that at any time. Unfortunately, you cannot believe everything
you read on the internet. The store works with USDA licensed and responsible
breeders. These breeders are personally inspected by the store.
The customer may return to [redacted] Animal hospital at any
time to continue treatment for her puppy at no cost to her. If the customer
elects to treat their puppy at a personal veterinarian they may submit invoices
for review, but 100% coverage is provided at the store’s referral veterinarian
as explained on the day of purchase. This coverage is read, agreed to, and
signed by the customer on the day of purchase.
