no service for air filter purchased
very disappointed, 25 year contract for servicing not honored. purchased June 2019 and no one has preformed an annual service and no call back after numerous calls. Paid for service contract at time of purchase in full. Total paid $3,805.76 and now feel company has took our money and ran. I would not even rate this company with one star!

Zephyr Filter
While the Zephyr product seems good, getting a replacement filter is like sourcing kryptonite. Every representative links to the same (pretty much same) website that (of course) does not allow you to purchase filters online. Now, wouldn't that be easy if it did?

I moved to Victoria from Edmonton the summer of 2018 when the air quality was so dreadful I couldn’t go out for days. I had my *** already because I have pretty much every kind of environmental allergy but needed a new filtre. I called Coast as the nearest *** dealer but wasn’t sure how they’d feel about sending me the annual free replacement since I hadn’t bought the machine from them. It was no problem at all. The person I dealt with was kind, courteous and helpful. (I think his name was Roman). All I needed was my serial number. I paid shipping and the environmental fee and the filtre arrived to save me. The *** is a huge help to me since I have 2 significant respiratory problems and it really works. Even my cats don’t make me sick anymore. I continue to be impressed with the, well — kindness or caring that comes across with the efficiency

WHY is this business continuing with their door-to-door sales approach DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC when we are supposed to be practicing physical distancing???
I had a call with their "free gift" *** and listened to the spiel about coming to my home to drop it off and provide a no-obligation demonstration of a product. I couldn't believe they would be putting their sales reps at risk this way. When I said I was in quarantine (I specifically said quarantine), she asked was I still willing to have someone come by and demonstrate the product from a distance.
It seems unconscionable to me that they would be risking everyone like this during a time when we all need to be socially responsible and stay home, NOT so that a door-to-door salesman can come by but to avoid contact with other human beings.

I understand you concern but the general population is asking to make these systems more available. These machines amongst many other filters, also have ultra violet lights to kill germs, bacteria and viruses which is especially important at a time like this. Right now air purification is more important than ever and we are having a larger volume of customers that want to see this system. We don't know how the next weeks and months will unfold so many people are looking for different ways to protect their health. We encourage social distancing and our representatives would not only be several meters away from each person but also have a machine in between them that kills viruses to minimize risk. We do not do any door-to-door. All presentations are by appointment only. There are people like yourself that would rather not see this system but there are many others that are following the orders of the BC provincial government and going to work. Those same people are looking for way to at least protect their home when they get there. Our reps understand the risk and do this our of their own free will because they want to help people when they need it most.

Exactly, like one of your other complaints, this company calls me at 5:41 p.m. yesterday falsely saying I completed their survey in the spring and they have a prize to deliver between 6 and 7 pm yesterday. Their phone number is a BC number. I am in Sask. They know my last number, address and ask if I am home by myself. I don't answer that. I tell them they can drop off the $300 prize in the mailbox. They say they have to ask some questions and give it to me in person.

I purchase a Zephyr XXL Air Purifier in January of 2018.

I have found that over all there is less dust. Odours don't linger and my suite smells fresher, all of which is good for my lung condition.

At my first one year service, I was pleased that Coast Medical Air Inc., honoured the free cleaning of the unit and the replacement of filter for no cost, as promised.

I dealt with Roman when I stopped at Coast Medical.

They call saying I get a free gift and they just want to drop it off. Then they insist that everyone be home and start a high pressure sales push.

I am on the national DNCL and they call me.
I have asked before to be placed on their DNCL and still they call.

I was already on your do not call list and the national do not call list. You also claim that I filled out a card this is a lie. You have promised in the past not to call me.

By law you must check every call against the DNCL but you don't.

I wasn't sure whether to give this a four or five star rating. I'd give it 4 1/2 if possible. The Zephyr XXL was purchased by us just over a year ago and we took it in today for servicing. When I asked about some things that were being serviced, I didn't receive answers that helped me understand anything. We are quite happy with the Zephyr even though we don't see much improvement of the air quality. I'm sure it is doing what it is supposed to do (circulate the air) but I don't notice less dust in many areas. It's kind of weird because the dust never seems to be in some rooms at all, but in others, there are dust bunnies galore, even a few hours after vacuuming. That is probably the most strange thing about using the air purifier. It may well be a big help. It's hard to know since we purchased the machine only one month after moving into this home. I am glad we purchased it, in any case.

When first considering our *** machine I thought it was expensive but after serious consideration we decided there is nothing more important than our health. Every winter I used to end up with pneumonia or bronchitis until this past year. No illness at all! I believe it is because we are breathing clean air and my lungs are doing well. I have had *** in my home since Dec *** and I love it. My dust allergies have been reduced drastically, much better than my very expensive high efficiency furnace was able to help. My son's asthma flares up less than 2-5 times a month which is a big difference than using his puffer at least 15 out of 30 days every month. Also, everyday smells from cooking lots of seafood and European meals with garlic and onions are gone by the end of the night and the fact that I get less dust in 3 weeks than I used to have in one week. Its very easy to tell when I dust higher up places like the ceiling fan that barely collects anything for the last 5 years. Very happy with the free service and free filter every year. Highly recommend this company and their product.

We purchased a *** air purifier Jan. 2018 and were pleased with clean air with negative ions immediately. We have it running 24/7 as we are in midst of a construction zone on both sides of our strata building at Metrotown, Burnaby. Diesel exhaust from trucks, buses and dust makes for a lot of pollution. We also had BC Forest Fires 2017 & 2018 with very poor air quality. Advisory alert to stay indoors. We found air quality difference between indoors and outside significant with air purifier working.
Nice to see VOC's go down on ***. We really like our *** and feel that it is money worthwhile spent. We recommend your product t to anyone who needs good clean air to feel better.
Thanks for quick maintenance check and new *** filter we received on one year anniversary of purchase. The filter was black with impurities. Efficient staff even carried machine to our car.

This company contacted me last year about a free gift that someone from my household qualified for. I / we, had to be home for this gift to be dropped off. I had said you can leave it on my door step. They said I had to be home to receive. When I questioned further, which they didn't like, they said I would be asked to do a brief questionnaire before the gift was given to me.
I then requested to be taken off their call list permanently as I don't want to be given a sales script at my home.
Yesterday, 20Feb ,Coast Medical 604.559.9212 called and said someone from my household had done a survey and had won this gift that they'd like to drop off. They said it was 200 or 300$ value ( I don't remember if they said 200 or 300)
They gave me two time slots to receive this gift. I wasn't going to be home so they said they would call back another time.
I'm annoyed.

My wife and I are very impressed with our *** Air Filtration unit. Very efficient, quiet and easy to operate and maintain. I took my unit in recently for a annual check and free filter replacement and the service was very professional! Thank you for your excellent service and commitment to your customers!

First of all, I don't even know if the product is any good, we didn't have it long enough. All I know is, I felt a lot better after they picked it back up.

SO DO NOT EVEN THINK of getting one!! They make it sound so wonderful and they make it sound like the payments are going to be easy... then BOOM!! ***

Also! Their marketing system was what GOT ME! They contacted me and made it sound like I won something. Yeah, an air purifier. Then they call again and then they say I actually won a "Demonstration" of an air purifier. They latch on to you and won't let go until they force you to agree to the demonstration, making it sound like "you were the one who set it up".

Most of all the name on the call display looks professional. What shows on the call display is "Coast Medical", so of course I'm going to see what they're calling about.

I sincerely apologize for your experience. Most people think air purification is a good idea and many decided to have air purification in the home. You had the product delivered to your home, explained in detail how it works and shown all of the features in person. After seeing it, having your questions and concerns addressed in person, you decided it's a good idea and put one in your home. We do not jeopardize anyone's ability to pay for the product. We create many avenues to make it easily attainable for everyone on every budget including; Cash, cheque, any credit card, and financing options. Unfortunately, we did not get to payment phase because, even though, we did our best and exhausted every option for payments, we could not get you approved due to your personal reasons. Please contact us if clarification is needed. After that the manager personally picked it back up from your home. Coast Medical Air Inc. is the name of the company, unfortunately Canadian phone providers cannot fit the entire name on call display. There is absolutely nothing we can do about how the name comes up on phone display. We only set up appointments with people that show interest. You were interested that day, decided to have an appointment, you received your gift regardless of purchase, and still decided to have the air system in your home. Again I do apologize for your experience and please let us know what we can do to improve our service.

I highly recommend this system,I suffer from severe respiratory issues,since purchasing the Zephyr Air System I have enjoyed a positive nights rest and a far more relaxed breathing capability.

Completely miss-represented the reason for their calls, very persistent,
to try the product, then insinuated we have 3 weeks to try this product.

Never came back in the three weeks that I was to try the product.
When I asked for my money back, they said ; Oh you should heve read the back of the contract!

I apologize for your experience. Steve is very knowledgeable, kind and makes sure to have great customer service by checking in with his customers down the road to make sure they are properly using the machine and if there are questions down the road that they have about the unit. This he doesn't have to do and does this on his own time out of respect and integrity for people that meet him.
Like you said in your email to us, you thought it was a good idea when you were introduced to it and decided to put one in your home. Nothing changed because it still is as much of a good idea as it was then.
The first contact we had with the customer from the office was while Steve was in the home and we welcomed her to the *** family. A part of the welcoming is to make sure that Steve provided clarification on any and all questions and/or if there was something we could be of help with. At that time she was happy with everything; Steve, unit, cost, information, etc.
When she called 3 weeks later, as a standard procedure we always start by asking if there was anything wrong with the representative or the unit. Answer at that time to both was no. The only thing we were told that she changed her mind.
As you mentioned, Steven did not mention a trial period because we do not do trial periods of this product as it has been proven to work efficiently for over a decade with thousands of happy customers. I'm sorry if you made an assumption about a trial of period that was never mentioned.
If the unit was not affordable, you did not have to purchase it and write out a cheque. I'm sure Steve answered any and all questions before he left, so if there was a doubt about the affordability, it would be a good idea to ask Steve about the cancellation policy or ask us on the phone while Steve was still there. That way you would not have to assume or guess. The *** air purifier is still as much of a good idea as you thought the day you decided to purchase it at the end of September because the longer you use it, the more benefits you reap.

He made me believe that he would be back in 3 weeks, to see if I was still satisfied with the air purifier. this did not happen.
He has not been in touch with me to see if I want to keep the unit!

I would like a list of satisfied customers that purchased this same unit.
and I would like their phone numbers to hear of their experiences with this unit.

The whole contact throughout the experience was leading me to believe that I would have I trail period.
Beginning with the appointment set ups. up to the the time of the presentation. The women setting up the appointments,
insisted I was only going to be trying out a product and only seeing if I liked the performance. This was the message I was to
to influence friends and neighbours to purchase as well.
That was the premise used to invite the presentation of the product!

We have had our Zepher air purifier for eight years and are extremely happy with it. Less dust around, air purifiers fan comes on higher, on the detection of any awful smells, cigarette smoke, brunt toast.

I made the decision to buy the product and after almost a month of using it, I can say I notice the lack of lingering smells from the cooking and less dust from all the construction surrounding my house. All the credit goes to this young man,*** He was very kind and really listened to our breathing issues and yearly seasonal allergies. We felt the difference in air quality as we continued to enjoy his company. He was well informed and his medical background really showed in his presentation.

Purchased the *** one year ago, and so far it has functioned as was explained during its sales presentation. We have no complaints. For replacement of the main filter, we phoned ahead of time, dropped it off after a short conversation with a representative, who politely asked questions about its performance etc., and one hour later (we had lunch in the neighborhood) picked up the machine. It has a new filter, and it works as if new. The biggest test will take place in the following one-year period, as the construction of a high-rise is about to start very near our home, and the resulting dust might prove a challenge. We are hoping for the best, and look forward to writing another review after the next filter exchange one year hence.

This is a testimonial for the *** Air Purifier. I have been using the smaller unit since Feb 19,2017. I have found a remarkable difference in the nature of air quality in my 2 bedrm condo. I have a number of inflammatory related conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome, muscular sclerosis and fibromyalgia. Prior to use of this particular air purifier I would lounge on the sofa in the living room and have chest pains where I couldnt catch my breath. In addition I would often experience bouts of coughing as if something had stuck in my throat. I was using another (less expensive, top line) air purifier at the time. Once the *** Air Purifier was in place this condition cleared within a matter of days. I would not be the same without the *** Air Purifier and credit this unit with keeping the air quality fresh and clean. I should make note that I have an indoor cat who is quite furry and sheds. This is collected in the filter of the *** Air Purifier making my home a much nicer place for me and my friends. The staff at Coast Medical Air are professional, courteous and patient with each and every enquiry. Eugene, whom I met on my recent visit for servicing of my unit *** is very kind and accommodating unloading the larger unit from my trunk and carrying it in for servicing. The office area itself is professional and clean making it a welcoming environment. I waited and had my lunch while the units were being serviced and the new filters installed.

Overall I am more than delighted with my *** air purifier, the company and the service.
