Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Here is the only information regarding the so-called 'Health' plan in small print on the payment form: This plan does not meet the minimum requirements of the affordable care act. This plan is not major medical insurancebut is a 24 hour accident indemnity plan with prescription benefits and dental through GAC access. Members are entitles to six doctor visits perperson with a reimbursement from CTC Inc up to 100%, not to exceed $120 per visit. Doctor visits are limited to 1 visit per 30 day time frameand are not an insured benefit. They refused to send ANY other information on the 'plan' to me in writing BEFORE I would sign the payment form. In effect, anything they told me over the phone they could deny, change or refuse to confirm because nothing was in writing beforehand. They also make it seem that since I could not - or was not able to - afford the 3 other plans they actually sent information on, that I should be at some type of fault and lose my money to them. The agent never went over any other plans in detail, but did state a few other plans by company name and sent PDF files detailing those from the likes of BlueCross, etc.. The agent pushed hard the lesser 'plan' as a better choice and would only talk about his 'plan' and it was clearly his main spiel towards uninformed cold call takers. I was charged $307.95 on the same day as our conversation and I feel entitled to a refund as - 1.) I have not and never used their services. 2.) I asked for a refund in writing, email and over the telephone on same day. 3.) As the so-called 'policy' was not to go into effect until April [redacted], why not give me the refund ? This goes back to reason #1 & #2.  Any service or product a consumer is not satisfied with is protected by law regarding refunds of monies. Here is the Revdex.com site claim for refunds (this seems to be for physical stores but can be applied to virtual stores as well, by law): [redacted]
I want my money back as a refund. $307.95. I am already going to dispute this with my credit card company if the Revdex.com cant resolve this. These guys are pure crooks and scammers.Period.

If you sign up for a "basic plan" that is less than $600/month, you will STILL have to pay a fee when you do your taxes as CTC DOES NOT provide a 1095-A or B tax form.
This is NOT insurance, it's a discount plan that the IRS will not recognize as 'insurance'.

The statements being made are completely inconsistent with the truth in so many ways. This client  was offered many plans to choose from and depending on the plan he/she choose there  maybe some waiting periods that are applied or deductibles depending on the plan  There are  many...

licensed agents at the firm and all have there own phone #s and emails in addition to the main # and company email we pride ourselves on our customer service. As far as being billed ASAP the only way for any policy to go into effect is for a "payment authorization form "to be signed outlining the terms and conditions of any payments that will be made for the policy. In addition the clients are sent welcome packages from the carriers for there review and it is there resonsibilty to  understand the terms and conditions of the plan they decided on.If the plan they choose does not suit them they can cancel and change at any time.we have many satisfied clients and try to help everyone to the best of our ability to  find a plan that suits there needs at a price they can afford. as far as a scam or fraud those statements couldnt be farther from the truth of the matter we understand the health care industry can be very frustrating but its not a scam.if this client can fax or email any issues that have to be addressed we will be more then happy to assist, however making false allegations is not necessary

At this time, I have been contacted...

directly by Coast to Coast Agents Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have been contacted about canceling my membership but nothing was stated about the complaint.

This clients statements are inconsistent with the truth she was offered many plans to choose from. Major medical plans such as [redacted] are 1700 to 2600 per month for a family. Unfortunately this was not affordable for this particular person so she choose a LIMITED IMDEMITY PLAN that cost...

349.00 per month for a family. The policy has limitations that were explained to her and she  also was recieved  a welcome package  to read and review her coverage. she  reviewed and sign a authorization form acknowledging the monthly premium and all the terms and conditions and limits of the plan. As far as her policy being terminated that simply is not the case, the only way a plan can terminate is by written notice from the insured or non payment. If a client sends written notice to terminate an email MUST be sent to that clients original email address that was provided on the original application for them to  sign and confirm they want to cancel this procedure is in place to protect all parties, especially the insured. This client signed a termination form on 5/*/16 and was then taken out of the billing system and the policy terminated. AS per the terms and conditions of the plan  she choose all this client  had to do was fax,or mail the dr. bill to the information that was provided to her and she would be reimbursed the funds for her dr. visit as per the terms and conditions and limitations of the plan. IF she wanted the or plans that do not work this way all she had do was purchases a major medical plan this way  the dr. or provider gets paid  directly. Again we offer many plans and products to choose from and in the health care industry all plans work differently. It is the insureds responsibility to understand and review how there plan works all we can do is advise and assists in helping an individual find a plan that suits there needs at a PRICE they can afford, however you cannot expect a 349.00 per month plan for a family to give you the same coverage or work the same way  as a 2,700 a month plan, and to blame us for that is not correct.

this client was offered numerous plans to choose from, unfortunately he could not afford a plan that suited his needs and he and only he decided on the plan,he signed a payment authorization form before the policywent into effect that clearly states the terms &conditions of the Accident indemnity...

plan. The agent went over in detail many options and plans for him to choose from ehealth insurance.com and the state web site. Many people take there frustration out  on the health care industry and high prices of health care on everyone, the companies, the state, the government and agents! The bottom line is he pick a plan that he could afford and wanted it too work like the ones he was offered that he  could not afford. you cant test drive and buy a KIA and expect it to drive like a LEXUS.

My son has been paying for this insurance for a year, just used it the first time today & nobody has. heard of it! I've been trying to call them all day and no one answers the phone, then he went to pick up medicine and those cards did not work either. I am calling bank tomorrow and cancelling all payments that they take every month. This insurance is a scam. The agent's name is Gary.

Review: I contracted for medical benefits starting 2-*-14. In the contract it said to have benefits for one month, before a doctor visit is covered. On 3-**-14 both boys went to doctor for physical. They had to go to lab for blood work.

They didn't pay out to lab although I had talked to [redacted] the agent, before going to lab and he said it was covered. When lab bills were not paid I called and was told to have lab call agents, after lab talked to agents a couple of times they failed to pay the bill and stopped returning calls to lab. When I call them they told me to fax copy of bill to them and they would pay it. when they failed to pay it I called multiple times and left messages that were never returned. Now a week or two ago in 2-2015 I received bill from doctors office for both boys physicals; which were not paid. Also in the middle of 5-2014 I called agent to let him know that because of blood test one child needed to see [redacted]. At that time within a day or two I was told my policy would end of 5-2014. they sent me an E-Mail wanting me to E-Sign notice of cancellation. When I failed to sign it was signed for me by them. So they took premiums from me and paid no medical bills.Desired Settlement: So at this point I wish them to either pay the bills they were contracted for or return the $ 1714.80 in premiums they took from me.. Also wondering about any possible criminal charges ?

Review: Today, I received a sales call from an individual who represented himself as [redacted] from Coast to Coast Agents. He told me that he could sell me a health insurance policy through Aetna Insurance that would cover doctor visits for the first $120 and then after that a $20 co-pay, the policy would cover any additional doctor fees. I have since discovered that the policy he sold me is for accident insurance and covers only up to one doctor visit per 30 days up to $100. I was not informed on the phone that this is not a major medical insurance policy, but a 24 hour accident indemnity plan.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund of all charges

Business

Response:

In response to complaint ID [redacted]

[redacted] was issued a full credit as you can see from the Merchant receipt enclosed.

In addition he also signed a payment authorization form that clearly states the terms and conditions of the 24 hour accident indemnity plan which he chose. He was offered a Major Medical insurance policy, but unfortunately he could not afford a Major Medical Plan.

As far as his statements regarding what he was told to him by the agent, they are completely inconsistent with the truth. That is why we have all clients sign a payment authorization form which clearly states the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Review: Per my physicians office, my medical benefits were denied. I currently have a $300.00+ bill that I owe and I cannot afford. I have been out of work since 6/2014 - I cannot afford out of pocket medical expenses and I am persuing Obama Care benefits. I called a number for a person by the name of "Joe" that contacted me to offer membership to this company plan. This person denied any knowledge of this transaction and suggested that I have been scammed. I have allowed this company to withdraw monthly payments of $100-108 over the past year. I am contacting my bank to cancel this auto payment.Desired Settlement: Refund

this client was offered numerous medical plans to choose from, the only way her account would be charged is if she signed a "payment authorization form" to start the plan which clearly states the terms and condition of each plan. We will forward the signed document for your review. Her statements are inconsistent with the truth of the matter

Review: I received a call from someone who said his name was Gary G[redacted] from Coast to Coast Agents. I told him I was looking for health insurance and he described this one plan that provided medical, dental and vision through [redacted]. It sounded like a decent plan so I went for it. it turns out it ended up not being a medical insurance plan as described, but a 24 hour accident indemnity plan. I was also apparently signed up to [redacted] as part of the package and when I went to their website to log in, it didn't work. I called the NEA and they said Gary apparently typed my social security info completely wrong so they said they would fix it and I should be good to log in. The following week I tried logging in again and it still wasn't working. I called again and they logged me in over the phone and I received the e-mail confirmation, so I thought it was all set, however a few days after that I still couldn't log into their website! After I received all the paperwork in the mail from Coast to Coast Agents I had a few important questions about the membership so I called Gary but he didn't answer. Over the past 3 weeks I had tried calling him over a dozen times and left several messages but he never returned any of my calls. There was absolutely no general number to call listed anywhere on the forms which I found very strange. The form said it took 7-10 days to get approved for brand-name prescriptions and then 4-6 weeks to have them mail it to you. I found it somewhat ridiculous that you had to wait almost 2 months to start receiving prescriptions which is why I wanted to clarify that with my agent. After all this time wasted trying to contact my agent, my medicine was running low and needed a refill so I decided to go to the pharmacy today to see if I could use the membership card that I had for the medicine. The pharmacist told that the card I had (a card that looks exactly like any other health insurance card that I've had) was not an insurance card but a discount card. I ended up paying $350 for my medicine! There was basically almost nothing discounted with the "discount card." In the past I only had to pay about $50. I have decided to cancel my membership today but this was the biggest waste of money ever! This was definitely the worst experience I've ever had with insurance or any company for that matter and what they told me over the phone had absolutely nothing to do with the actual benefits.Desired Settlement: Complete refund of all transactions.

Review: I signed up for a health insurance benefit policy last year and the funds are automatically deducted from my checking account. Recently I had a doctor's visit and multiple request for the payment were submitted by the doctor without any successfull. The first visit was in May 2015 ( including a lab visit) and the second visit was in July 2015. I have been calling the phone number provided (###-###-####) and no one answers or return my calls.Desired Settlement: I requesting that coast to coast make the necessary payments to the doctor and lab. If that cannot be accomplished, I would like a full refund of the payments that were automatically deducted from my account.

Review: I was contacted by [redacted] at Coast to Coast who told me I could get Aetna Healthcare Ins. For a payment of $309 the first month which was May of 2013 and $199 a month after that. I did not receive a ID card or a way to submit bills other then a paper concerning Dental care. Which I did not ask for or need. Bills submitted to the address I was given were rejected because it was the address for dental claims so my Doctor bills were not paid. I did receive approximatley $269 from [redacted] to pay one Doctor bill. I now have another for $310 which I should not have to pay. I was told I was getting Health Care Ins and got Dental Care Ins instead. I would like my money back for the months May thru December that I paid for something I was given under false pretenses.Desired Settlement: I would like the money back I paid for the months May thru December for Health Ins I did not receive or at the very least $310 to pay the Doctor bill I have received for services September ** 2013.

I searched for an affordable medical insurance on New York State health website last October. An agent names Gary called me up shortly after the search. He offered a health plan to me for a premium of close to $1200 a month for a family of three. The agent failed to inform me that the plan did not cover the annual physical for the first three months after enrollment. So my wife did the annual in November and we ended up paying for the whole bill as a result. Besides, after I bought the insurance, the agent was not answering phone calls or replying emails when I had questions for him. I just feel so bad about the way they do business.

Review: I have been trying to reach this company for the past couple of weeks about my health insurance,I have not received my tax information no have I used this insurance at all,I would like my money back plus cancel this insurance.Desired Settlement: To received my Tax information and cancel and would like a refund of all the payments I made since I never used this insurance and because of this I will be penalized on my taxes because of this so this company should pay for that as well..

Response:

There are a variety of phone numbers and emails to contact the agency that was provided numerous time to each policy holder along with any and all welcome packages the insured receives, unfortunatly like most insurance such as homeowners, car, etc whether you use it or not doesn't determine if you have to pay your premium. I am sure many people have paid there car insurnace for many years and never had an accident, many homeowner pay the fire insurance and never had a fire.
