new glasses
Yesterday I filled a prescription for new glasses. This was at the new store in Port St Lucie. "Bella' was the sales lady that worked with me on the purchase. She was very pleasant and friendly; not to mention: quite lovely. I did forget to get a receipt for the purchase; my fault or Cohen's: I do not know. Rather costly at $710; but after wearing my present one for seven years; guess that its to be expected. They do display some nice frames; hard to choose, so I left it up to Bella and my wife.

We Do apologize for any confusion regarding this patients order. The Customer was in our office and purchased two pairs of eyeglasses. His son picked a frame that we had in stock but wanted it in a different color. We ordered the product on the manufacturers website and did tell the patient that it states the frame is in stock but takes about 3-5 business days. We never promised it would definitely be in by Wednesday but were lucky that it did make it in. Once we received the frame the lenses still need to be Edged and Put into the frame. We do not order lenses to frames until we receive them so that we can insure we order the lens that is appropriate to the fit of the frame and to guarantee that we receive the correct product. When his friend called to check the status I did tell her that we had received the frame but the lenses still needed to be Cut. By the time the job was completed our [redacted] Pick up had already came to the Store. On Thursday our Lo cation was closed so no deliveries leave the store on Thursday. Therefore the Glasses were not picked up by [redacted] until Friday. When the Customers were in the store on Saturday the [redacted], they mentioned not being in a rush the son could come back and pick up the glasses on his next visit to his dad. He did want the glasses sooner so I offered to Ship them At no Cost. There was no sense of urgency so we did not charge them to ship it or offer overnight since the original idea was not to pick up for two weeks or so. Again if we were notified that they were in a rush for their glasses we would have overnight-ed them. I the manager was not in the office or in Cell Phone Range to receive any of the phone calls from the other employees pertaining to this matter and to take care of the fact that he was harassing and threatening my employees. The next day the fill in Manager did call the patient as soon as the store opened to clear everything up. The glasses were delivered [redacted] the next mornin g. We do Ship to Patients and we always say it will take 3-5 business days after shipment and the customer was given receipts prior to leaving the store on Saturday the [redacted] attached to the credit card receipt.

To whom it may be concerned, I’m replying again in regards to [redacted] complain however, she keeps writing bad reviews all over social media. We tried many times to contact her to solve this problem without success. As I previously mentioned , when the customer came in to order lenses, her glasses were broken and we explained to her clearly that we will not be able claim in her insurance for the premium lenses she was seeking. She agreed on the price special that we were running and 20 minutes later she left the store with her glasses done. We didn’t do anything wrong. We just tried to help her. Thank you for taking time to help us solve this matter. Alex Z.

As stated in the complained letter, [redacted] came to purchase a pair of Gucci pair of glasses and requested us to order a new set for her. We agreed and ordered the new pair for her. Upon the arrival of...

her prescription lenses the technician installed them into the frames we have in store not realizing that we are waiting for a brand new ones which was on order. The patient was then called to pick up her glasses. She did realized that it wasn't a new frames because of the scratches on them but we assured her it was a mistake on on our part and her new frames was due to arrive that day. She came in to pick up again the very next day but was not happy with the way her lenses came out so we said we would fix for her. She came and picked up her prescription glasses two days later. We are aware that [redacted] was unhappy with the transaction and have since reached out to her to see if we could possibly rectify the situation but have not heard from her.

We are happy to provide the patient request at her convience.

We are sorry that [redacted] is not happy with her Tiffany Eyeglasses. We were willing to exchange the frame for her at no additional cost to her and even though it has been 9 months after the 30 day...

exchange policy but when she recently came in so that we could adjust the glasses we noticed that there was hair dye on the frame. This immediately voids the warranty on the frame. We can try again to adjust them for her to make them as comfortable for her as possible if she would like to return. She can also go to over 100 locations at her convenience.

COHEN’S FASHION OPTICAL [redacted] ** [redacted] *o whom it may concern, On March 14, 2015, [redacted] came into our location to receive an eye exam and purchase new prescription eye glasses. [redacted]...

[redacted] filled out her insurance claim form and doctor record card. The staff proceeded to check her insurance benefits and relayed her coverage to her stating that her co pay for exam would be $10.00. After her exam, [redacted] along with one of our associates started choosing her new frames. After about 15 minutes [redacted] settled on a frame of her liking which was a [redacted] frame priced at $399. The manager at that point came over to price her for the frame and lenses required to complete her transaction. After applying her insurance allowance of $130 the frame total became $269. [redacted] lenses through her insurance were a total of $106 ($66 for ultra thin lenses & $40 co pay for anti reflective coating). [redacted] was also informed that the store offers an extended warranty for her frame which is $25 (covering any type of brake that could occurred within her first year of having the frames, and that they would be replaced at no extra charge should she have the warranty), which she accepted bringing her total to $400. [redacted] explained to the manager that she would like to see a less expensive frame. The manager proceeded to show her additional frames and after a few minutes, chose a [redacted] frame which was priced at $289. After her insurance allowance of $130 the frame price would be $159. Even through [redacted] liked the new price, she still decided to go with [redacted] frame, because she felt that they looked better. [redacted] proceeded to pay for her new prescription eye glasses and after paying was told that they would be ready for pick up in one hour. About an hour latter [redacted] returned to pick up her glasses and requested to speak with the manager. She put on her new glasses and was very happy with the result, and then asked the manager to please go over the prices again, which he did very thoroughly even though [redacted] was given the receipt break down at the time of sale. [redacted] then showed the manager that she also had a $100 coupon for glasses. The manager explained that coupons & store promotions cannot be combined with insurances programs or vision plans, which is stated on the coupon that was presented). [redacted] understood, thanked the manager and went on her way. [redacted]’s glasses without her insurance would have been $723 with the coupon applied. It is always in our store’s interest to help the patients that shop here, and always try to accommodate within reason. The store does have a no refund policy because all prescription eyewear is custom made. Thank you in advance for helping us resolve this situation. Sincerely[redacted] Store manager

Hello.
I'm writing to complain about my visit today at Cohen's Fashion Opitcal in [redacted]. I had went to get new glasses and I walked out paying $300 for my glasses. I have a great insurance and I knew I spent more than I was suppose to.
I was initially being told my total was $400 and there was a lot of back of forth with the worker.
I had my insurance information on my phone and I was showing the worker the benefits that I should be receiving and all the worker kept telling me was how my insurance does not cover this and that.
All the worker did was hand me the most expensive eye wear from the start which I told the worker from the beginning I did not like anything fancy.
To sum up my experience, my insurance had called that store and told me how that store kept fighting back when they knew they were in the wrong. I eventually found out I was suppose to pay about $100 less than what I had end up paying.
The fact that they're trying to rob people of their own money is disgusting and down right wrong.
I hope this stops and never happens again to anybody. This isn't the way of doing business and next time I will be going to [redacted] because I had went with my friend and he received such exceptional service and the lady was going within his budget and not trying to force him into anything he couldn't afford.
From,
Never will be a customer again.

Went to Cohen's optical in September for 1st Routine Contact Exam, left with prescription and ordered contacts from 1-800 contacts. When trying to file claim with insurance company for reimbursement, was informed that Cohen's Optical had charged for contacts that I never ordered nor ever received. Their deceptive practices must be stopped.
