Coinmach equipment in my building is always breaking and it take from 2-weeks for the machines to be repaired even though the company claims a tech has repaired them Previously machines would be repaired the same week reported, so what has happened

Back when [redacted] and company purchased [redacted] Apartments [redacted] called to say they were the new owners and would like a copy of the laundry contractI told her I would have a copy to her by the end of the weekI stopped by on Friday and gave her a copy and told her the lease was still good but I would be more than willing to work something out with herWe looked at the laundry room and the equipment and she ask if there was any way I could install new equipmentI told her I would get back to her in a few daysThe following week I gave [redacted] a proposal for the new equipment again the proposal stated the current lease was still goodWe talked about the proposal and [redacted] said she would get back to me( [redacted] did not like that the current lease was still good ) Maybe a month or a little longer [redacted] called and ask if we could meet at her office and I said I could be there the next dayWhen I got there [redacted] and I went back to the laundry room and started talking about my proposal again [redacted] ask about the dryers and the venting and we had to get someone to open the door that was nailed shut to look behind the dryersI told [redacted] that the venting would be replaced but they would need to cover a hole that was letting in the cold air [redacted] ask if we would replace the lighting and do the plumbing behind the washersI told her Coinmach could not do the lighting and plumbing but I would be able to redo the proposal and gave her some money to do the repairsI told [redacted] that I would be out of town the rest of the week but I would get her the new proposal the first of next weekThe following week [redacted] had the new proposal for years, New equipment and money to redo the roomAgain [redacted] said she would get back to us [redacted] called some time later and wanted Coinmach to do another proposal this time using less equipmentA proposal was giving to [redacted] by [redacted] my sale representativeThey had a long meeting and [redacted] said the meeting went well and [redacted] wanted to see a lease [redacted] stopped by the following week and gave her the lease and told her we could have the new equipment within weeks after the new lease was signed [redacted] told [redacted] that she had another company come in and gave her a proposal with more money and [redacted] said that the new offer would do the lighting and plumbing and wanted us to match their offer [redacted] ask if he could see their offer and [redacted] said no [redacted] told [redacted] that our lease was still good and we were just trying to help her out [redacted] told [redacted] that she would let him knowBy this time a year had almost pasted and [redacted] call and said she wanted to sign a lease but she wanted the deal with the money [redacted] told her he would need to get back to her and let her know if we could still make the numbers work [redacted] and I went over the proposal and spoke to Corp and they would not let us do the deal because the income had gong down quite a bitWhen [redacted] told [redacted] she was not happy and said she wanted the current lease terminatedI went by the property and spoke to [redacted] and said our lease was still good and I was sorry but we could not terminate the lease at this timeI would be more than glad to install new equipment if she would just give me a letter asking for the equipment( I never got the letter) I have been by the property more than once and spoke to the office staff and was told [redacted] was not there and that she would call me, she never didThe last time I stopped by I had an appointment and when I got there I was told [redacted] had gone to lunch and would get back to meWhen I did here from [redacted] she said that if I had anything to talk about we did not need to meet but send her a email I am not sure why [redacted] has said no one has been in contact with her when she knows we haveI know she is not happy about our current lease but the lease was in effect when they purchased the property Please let me know if there is anything else you might need [redacted] CAS Regional Vice President Boehning Way, Suite D Indianapolis, IN 317-850- [redacted] cell 317-890-x [redacted] office 317-890-fax

Coinmach Corporation operates the laundry room services for my apartment complex in Denver, COIt appears as though they do not perform regular maintenance on their machines as they are frequently out of orderOn multiple occasions we have attempted to use their online service to load money onto our laundry card (this is the only option) and were not able to redeem the money onto our laundry cardOn each occasion we were forced to utilize other methods to get our laundry doneThe customer service representatives, while kind, have minimal knowledge and offer little to help our situationWe still have not resolved the most recent occurrence

I am beyond livid with Coinmach's machines. I have never had any serious issues with any washers or dryers anywhere until moving to this building just over a year ago, but I have now had these issues on multiple occasions just within the last few months at my apartment complex on more than just individual machines:
Washer doesn't drain properly, leaving the machines full of water at the end of their cycle
Washer misreads that the lid is open when it isn't, resulting in serious delays and frustration to complete the wash
Dryer consistently leaves the load still wet, particularly with denim
Has serious issues reading the credit card, often giving a bad read or timing out, and when it does go through, ends up showing more authorizations on my account then what was actually accepted; is even more prone to this when trying to run more than one machine at about the same time
I don't even bother calling for a refund anymore, the fact that they issue the $1.75 refund as a check by mail is a joke and shows how little this company cares about their equipment and their operations.
I have also once had the washer short out while handling my wash, thankfully another tenant in our building discovered it before it fully caught on fire and pulled the plug, but it did fill the laundry room with smoke, forcing me to move my load (soaking wet as well) to another machine in a different room (had to fight the smoke in the room as well when removing the wet clothes). Only responses I've ever noticed from them were the refunds for the amounts (which were essentially just voids of the failed machine runs, still had to complete the washes on another machine and pay there, no additional compensation). I highly doubt the machines have ever been checked out by a technician since I've been using the machines as they show the same wear and tear as always (even after the short out). Building maintenance doesn't have the authority to service the machines themselves, so there's little that they can do, but maybe when I give them notice that I will not renew my lease when it is up may cause them to take action, but I doubt it.

Also forgot to mention: their website service request form allows for no real details of the problems to be entered, and I doubt anything I can enter about these issues in their short entry line (I never even received a response when reporting the short out nearly causing a fire) will likely just be noted and no real action will be taken.

Review: The machines at [redacted] are always breaking and never appear to be fixed. The apartment manager told us she has already placed a service call but the machines still appear to be broken and the laundry room has been locked.

We were offered a refund but since the machines are broken, we can't use the refund we were given. Also the $10 refund only covered the money we put in the card, it does not cover the detergent and bleach we wasted in a broken machine. Review: Their washers and dryers needs to be serviced frequently, however, it is hard to reach a live customer service representative to report an issue to, especially on the weekends when most people do their laundry. They do have an online system which is great, however, my laundry is stuck in one of their washing machines and I can not get through to customer service still. My building maintenance told me that he cannot help me and that I have to call Coinmach. I find this unacceptable, if you have equipment that is used 24/7, there should be an after hours # for a switchboard and there should be somebody on call in situations like this. I should not have to wait to retrieve my laundry that is trapped in a washing machine.Desired Settlement: I would like them to improve their customer service availability. If it is not possible to have a number posted publicly to call, at least have an after hours maintenance number that my building management can have to get in touch with an on call service repair person.

Review: Dryers continually breakdown --3rd time in one month. Customer service took my information, but I never received

any application or instructions re a refund. The money is minimal, but it is the principle. My am now out six dollars.

I want a refund and I want Coinmach to call the property manager and explain why we have inferior machines yet are locked into a contract.Desired Settlement: Refund AND resolution to this problem of continually malfunctioning machines.
