A couple years back, a home inspection was performed on my house as part of a sale agreement The home inspector found a couple plumbing issues and the buyer requested they be completed to finalize the sale The buyer brought in his own plumber to give a quote on the work but something about that plumber and his suggested solutions wasn't sitting right with me, let alone his price quote So I decided to phone around to get more quotes and information Pete the Plumber was doing a lot of advertising on TV and radio at the time, and there was a little voice in my head saying that this company is going to be another overpriced and overrated plumber But another little voice in my head said to give the company a call, can't be much worse than what I've been getting So I phoned the company and somehow ended up speaking to Pete himself He patiently and clearly explained what needed to be done, never talked down to me (a woman with some plumbing knowledge), and explained why the work proposed by the other plumbers was completely wrong It was all logical and for the first time I heard total sense Then I braced myself for the price quote, which was a third of the other plumbers! The skeptic in me challenged Pete on his pricing...did you forget something?...you going to hit me with hidden costs after the plumber finishes the work?...how can you undercut your competition with such low pricing?...all he said was he's not undercutting, he's charging a fair price, that's it and that's how he does business So Pete the Plumber did the work, as requested and as quoted I was so impressed that I never bothered to phone around when I needed a plumber to install a water softener, garburator, and reverse osmosis filtration system in my new house I recently called Pete the Plumber when I had a kitchen faucet issue in my new house...talked several times directly with Pete and he accurately diagnosed the problem Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hire Pete the Plumber for this particular issue because the kitchen faucet was still under the home warranty It is reassuring to know that I can call Pete the Plumber any time I have a plumbing issue, and not feel pressured to hire the company, or scorned for not hiring the company And reassuring to know that I will get the plumbing work done properly for a fair price (I live in Calgary, so getting a fair price hasn't existed for a very long time) Thank you Pete
I had Troy come in to service a leaking water line, he was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and friendlyHe also investigated further to be sure of no other water sources and found that the stack was leaking and fixed it as well The price was far less then I had expected A++

I just hired Pete the Plumber for a clogged basement drain and had a fantastic experienceThis was the second company I called for the same job The first company came a day earlier, did an estimate for a $fee and recommended either a hydrojet for $or an augering for $ I thought this was ridiculous, so called Pete the Plumber They showed up the next day, did a free estimateThey came back the next day, located the backwater valve (which the other company had not done), removed the valve and cleared the blockage behind All of this for $ Had I gone with the first company, I would have paid significantly more, and it may not have fixed the problem (the auger may have been stuck on the valve, possibly damaging it)
The serviceman were extremely professional and knowledgable, charing a fair price for the work done I am a new homeowner and have just found the plumber I will use throughout the life of my home Thanks Pete the Plumber!
