Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services Reviews (3)

I have reviewed the complaint from Mr. [redacted]. Coldwell Banker does not have record of Mr. [redacted]contacting the department about the gas service in May, June or July as the complaint states. Mr. [redacted]did contact Coldwell Banker in September regarding the gas service. Once Mr. [redacted] notified...

ColdwellBanker that the gas was disconnected I contacted the Owner/Landlord directly. The Owner/Landlord inturn contacted the utility providers and paid the past due amount to have the service reinstated.Coldwell Banker scheduled with Mr. [redacted] to meet the utility company to reinstate the service. Whenthe utility provider arrived to reinstate service, Mr. [redacted] was not present to provide access to the unit.Mr. [redacted] contacted us 3 days later stating that the gas was still not on. Coldwell Banker againcontacted the Owner/Landlord and he rescheduled with the gas provider. Mr. [redacted] was present forthis appointment. During the gas company's inspection, they found that the meter was located insidethe property. So, they pulled the meter and said they would not reconnect the service until new lineswere run to the exterior of the unit. Once completed, they would come back out and install the newmeter on the exterior of the building. This matter must be resolved by the Owner/Landlord.The only gas line to Mr. [redacted]'s property was for a gas stove. To help expedite the process ColdwellBanker set up a contractor to go out and add new electric line and electric stove to the unit. When thecontractor contacted Mr. [redacted] to come out, Mr. [redacted] started yelling at the contractor and said if hecalled again he would call the police. When the contractor alerted Coldwell Banker about the phone callI contacted Mr. [redacted] directly. He advised me he was done and would be moving out as of October 31st,2015. He did not want anyone to bother him or his unit while he was moving out. Coldwell Bankerwould have to wait until he vacated the property to complete any work to the property. To date neitherColdwell Banker nor the Owner/Landlord has received a bill for the gas service. The bills have beengoing to the previous Management Company. With the review of Mr. [redacted]'s complaint completed, Coldwell Banker sees no reason for a refund ofrent/funds.Please feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions you may have regarding this issue.

Review: the gas company came and inspected my gas lines after the realty company failed to pay the gas bill after seven yrs.the realtor denies that they were responsiable for payment.after review of the contract they realized they were to pay the bill.the gas company refused to turn on gas because the lines are all in horrid condition.ive lived here 7 yrs.now we must move out due to the terriable condition of this entire building.Desired Settlement: I would like my past 2 months of rent reimbursed

Review: Do not do business with Coldwell Banker Real Estate. I had the worst experience of my life. Coldwell Banker Real Estate made a stressful situation even more stressful. The closing took over 2.5 hrs long while I had movers sitting in the driveway, waiting to unload the truck. As a result, I had to pay movers an extra $300 for them to wait for me to return. The closing took 2.5 hours long because of negotiations that should have occurred prior to the closing. I had a home inspection completed on the home that I was purchasing. In response, I asked that the laundry tubs, the roof, certain plumbing, 2 railings, the furnace and radon system be repaired or replaced. I was told on Dec 9, 2013 that all of the work that I requested was complete and the closing was Dec. 17, 2013. Between those days the house stood vacant. I requested to access the home to verify that all of the work was completed and completed to my approval. My agent from Coldwell Banker Real Estate never responded or answered my numerous requests.Going through the final walkthrough of the home that I was purchasing which was 30 minutes prior to my closing, I was livid. The house was a mess, dirt and leaves all over the first floor. There were 2 tires in the front lawn and I had no receipts or verification of the work that was completed. I almost walked away from the deal and in hindsight, I probably should have. Again, the worst experience and transaction of my life.Since I moved on Dec 17, 2013, I had to pay a plumber $330 to clear the basement drain twice due to a pre-existing condition. I had to leave the home over night until the plumber came to clear the drain the next day. Whom ever lost the radon test results and the test had to be performed again which resulted in a Radon level in my home of 5.4. This retest just occurred between Feb 4 and Feb 6, 2014. The EPA accepts levels at 4.0 or lower and anything above 4.0 has to be remediated. I just received the invoice for the furnace but haven't verified it.Desired Settlement: I want the radon remedied to an acceptable level of 4.0 or lower and I want the plumbing in the basement drain corrected.

March 5, 2014 To whom it may concern: Coldwell Banker Real Estates Services take very seriously all customer concerns Below is the response to ID Length of closing Generally speaking, the time it takes to close is based on many variables. It is true that the home did not appear in acceptable condition. In addition, the home was part of a relocation type sale and the property owner was not present for direct discussion. This situation did extend the closing time. Delay in walk-thru Generally speaking the final walk-thru is 24-48 hours prior to the closing event. It is true that repairs were made to the home in response to the home inspections. Several attempts were made by the sales associate to secure the repair receipts and have them on hand at time of the walk-thru. Unfortunately, the sales associate was unable to obtain the completed work repair orders. This resulted in the delay of the walk through. Repair receipt’s ,radon repair, basement drain To the best of my knowledge, any and/or all available repair receipts have been provided to the homeowner at this time. The tires have been removed from the home. The radon level of 5.4 is being addressed. The basement drain issue should be addressed to the former owner and/or relocation company. It should be noted, at time of settlement, The new homeowner received a credit in the amount of $500 The homeowner signed off on for any and/or all outstanding repair conditions of the home. Since the date of closing and up to the date of this response ,we continue to work with the new owner to address possible outstanding issues.

Response:

The length of closing was because your real estate agent was ill prepared and did not do her job properly. The attempts made by the sales associate to secure repair receipts is not my issue. That issue needs to be taken to the selling agent. I do not need repair receipts to walk through the home to visual see that the work was completed nor was I given the receipts at the time of the closing. The $500 received was to have the home professionally cleaned because of its filth. The $500 was not received to rectify any outstanding issues that still exist. There are two issues that still exist. The radon has not yet been addressed nor has the plumbing issue been addressed. Additionally, the drained backed up again on 3/23/2014, causing the homeowner and her family to evacuate the home and sleep somewhere else. To this end, the homeowner has be very inconvenienced all because the real estate agent does not know how to do her job. Again, I want the radon remedied to an acceptable level of 4.0 or lower and I want the plumbing in the basement drain corrected
