Colonial Savings is our mortgage lender on our primary home. We recently received an Escrow surplus check of more than $2,200 because the wrong amount was collected at Closing. This is a HUGE amount of money to my family. In addition, Colonial will now start taking an additional 1.8% in Escrow although my house insurance and county taxes have not changed.
