Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI will start by saying that I have pictures, texts, and emails to back up all of my statements. The locks were even changed so that I would not find anything thing else to add to my punch list. Which meant we were unable to close in our house and did not get our keys until days after closing. Like I said we were threatened that our land and home would be taken because we did not want to close because of all of the issues. The land was fully cleared in August 2015 and there was full access to the home with a gravel driveway as seen on the google map picture attached. The foundation had already been placed so you can fully see there are no issues with access to the home. Obviously if the house was able to be brought in October, it wasn’t inaccessible until mid January 2016. That’s just how long it was taking. The contractors were not even called to come until December 6, 2015 and that comes directly from the mouth of Zack Foster with the contracting crew. So my house sat for a month and half, with nothing being done, and yes I mean nothing because I visited it everyday taking pictures when progress was made, Only a few of the hardwood boards were placed because they did not want to take up the entire area like it should have been done so they just jammed a couple of boards in and it very obvious where they have done that and where the scratched area is, I have pictures of the equipment on my bare floor, as well as pictures before it was “repaired” and after it was “repaired”. Its not right by any means. The seams are still in the carpet, and have never left. Never repaired, replaced, nothing. There are also areas that look like seams because the carpet is two different colors but there is no seam so defective carpet was used and I’m supposed to be okay with that? I think not! Its an eye sore and an embarrassment. I cannot believe any company would want their name on this. There is a cut in the carpet outside of one of the upstairs bedrooms. When pointed out to Kyle Hinshaw before we closed, he promised this would be fixed. Its still not fixed and after asking multiple times, his solution was to cut a piece of carpet from our closet to patch this and replace the carpet cut from the closet with another shade of carpet. That is completely unacceptable. The carpet is already lifting up throughout the house especially upstairs. When showed to Kyle this was his response, “I honestly would not even buy carpet from Nationwide Homes”. Basically saying that I need to come out of pocket once more to replace it myself. The shingles have come off 5 times and it was not due to storms and wind. Two weeks ago I had this repaired for the 5th time and the man told me the reason the shingles keep falling off is because the person that nailed them down pressed down too hard with the nail gun and the nails went all the way through the shingle. Isn’t that lovely? Not really. Saying is was replaced as a consideration to the customer is a joke, there is not a storm of any kind or wind of any kind that has happened here that should have caused this. Aren’t roofs supposed to be strong? There is currently a crew at my home working on the ceiling at once again the fault of an improper installation. I was told once again, today as I came home from work and the guys were still here, that when the ceiling was initially cut out, it was extremely obvious that the sheet rock was not screwed down properly. Now, each piece throughout the entire house is showing through the ceiling and walls. They have been here to work on this for over 10 times, which means I either have to take off work and lose money to be here or make arrangements to have someone here. Nothing but a headache. This should not even be happening. I have pictures to show all the seams of the sheet rock on the ceiling and walls if there is any question. This should not be visible in my brand new home. I have emails from my mortgage lender stating that Nationwide Homes was not sending in the proper documents and that was holding up the process with the loan this was not all at the fault of the VA. Yes there was a delay because of the neighbors, but a few days is nothing in comparison to months of waiting while no progress was being made on my home. I was told nothing else would be fixed until closing and all those promises turned into lies and it just continues and continues. The refrigerator was not identical I am pretty sure I have pictures of both as well. Its obvious the non dented new one was much smaller seeing that 1/3 of my food wouldn’t even fit in it. I guess that was supposed to be a funny joke. When we signed our contract, that is when we first found out about the “through the door in 64” policy. It was at that time that we were told by Shannon Wilson that we were eligible for that. It wasn’t until much later, when it was taking longer than planned, that we were told otherwise only after we asked about it. I have the emails from Shannon even telling me she told us wrong and there was nothing she could do about it, they would not honor it even though she specifically told us that. In addition to all this my bathroom vanity in the downstairs guest bathroom was chipped, and repaired and patched I guess it will only be a matter of time before that falls apart like everything else. We have tried getting President Andy Miller to come see these things for himself, but he only continues to ignore us as he has done the entire time we have been dealing with Nationwide Homes. This was our first home buying experience after my husband left the United States Marine Corps, and its sad to see that this is how Veterans and their families are treated. I will be happy to provide and photos, texts, and emails, or you could just come take a look.
Regards,
*** ***

Revdex.com made numerous attempts to get a response from Nationwide Homes as to when the consumer could expect repairs to be completed, but Nationwide Homes failed to respond.  However, the consumer stated the business did complete repairs.

I would like to respond to Mrs. [redacted]’s complaint and what I see are three issues: 1.      We have given her a check for the difference of the upgrade she chose from what her neighbor paid for their upgrade. 2.      We have replaced the grass in...

her yard twice trying to satisfy her. Not being able to satisfy her we have hired a professional landscaper to evaluate and give us an estimate to replace damaged grass. 3.      We have talked to the shingle supplier that delivered the materials and have made arrangements to repair damages to the driveway that their truck made. We are in the process of collecting two estimates and will move forward with scheduling those repairs as soon as possible.
