Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I'm sorry, but I don't understand why I'm getting this
notification. It is the same response from the Revdex.com and the owner that I received in July. I responded to that brief response on approximately July 27, with the following: I'm sorry, but I do not feel that this is an acceptable solutionFar from it. First, as mentioned in my original report, it cost me $to have the concrete professionally removed from my fence, shed, patio doors and house exteriorI then had to spend approximately $more for paint, stain and equipment to put back what was removed along with the concreteFurthermore, the concrete that is now permanently bonded to our asphalt carport cannot be removedThis property belongs to the HOA and I am waiting to hear if we are going to be held responsible for repairing this damage. Second, I did not approve any formsI wasn't home at the timeMy wife was home and as previously mentioned in my original report, when she saw that no form was constructed for the curb, she begged and pleaded to the supervisor to add the decorative curb as specified in the contractHis reply was, “You don't need it.” I came home to find my wife in tears talking on the phone to the owner about the curbIt did no goodThe curb was not pouredJudging from my experience to date with the owner he would not have given us a $credit for the missing curb on the final invoice if he didn't think his company was in error. Third, anyone who thinks, as the owner does, that there's “noting wrong with the concrete” is blind or hasn't seen the YouTube video I producedThe link was in my original reportHere it is again: https://youtu.be/1CU9r1QUAtUThe concrete pad, in my opinion, wouldn't be suitable for a foundation for a barn, much less a patio in a residential area. It should be noted that before I contacted the Revdex.com, I enlisted the help of another concrete contractor just to get their opinion of the mess and the poor quality jobThey were embarrassed for the concrete industry as a whole and offered to be in my corner if I needed someone to verify the validity of my complaintAlthough it was after-the-fact, I also checked YELP for reviews on this companyLong story short, it was a tremendous comfort to know that others have had the same or worse problems with this company. My wife and I are on Social Security and could really use the $500.00, but we feel accepting this meager amount would absolve the company from their obligation to provide what we paid forSo we respectfully decline the offer
Sincerely,
*** *** *** P.SI don't understand is why this business is allowed to included his association with the Revdex.com on his advertising when his Revdex.com status is "Under Review" and has been for a long time. I would appreciate a final resolution to this even if it is a notice that there is NO resolution. The outcome of this inquiry will determine what steps I need to take next. Thank you

we went back to complete the small things and pick up the trash and seal a small part of the patio we got all the trash and did reseal the patio but it started to rain ,,, so I told *** that we would be back on july thats two days from now
to reseal the patio and do the small things he wants me to clean up for him to contact the Revdex.com makes no since to me and to demand 5,is a complete joke if he does not want me to give me the opportunity to go up the for a few hours to do the small things he want done about hrs of work I would be willing to refund dollars may be when he was filling this out *** might of accidentally hit a extra in the amount he wanted back because he will never be able to strong arm me for money the the Revdex.com or any other way I have reached out to *** and asked him if he would still like to me to do the touch ups on the rd as of this time with no response some people really think they can bully a contractor through the Revdex.com sorry it does not work like that
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/07/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
***, I do not accept your offerI propose you send me a check for $5,I will get other contractors to come and fix the following issues: Clean up/touch up siding and trim, paint as needed to blend or complete repaint of walls with concrete splatter and damaged siding/trimDig and properly route drains, ensure rock back fill to allow proper drainage, prevent clogs, and keep clear to prevent freezing or back upStain and seal concrete patio, either the spot requiring it or the entire patio redone to ensure proper blendingMitigate cracks in concrete and caulk or seal concrete touching foundation to prevent long-term water damageComplete any other identified touch upsSeed to fix trash dump area and area adjacent to the exterior wall where you used the tractor and the lawn is destroyedI will keep a record of all work and when complete, no later than December 2015, send you the receipts and the difference between the expenses and $5,I will only keep what I am billedMy honest assessment is I can get it all done in two months but that depends on contractor availability
To your reply, you know you are wrong that is why you are offering to return moneyI paid you half prior to the work, which was to be JuneYou bumped it to June for weather and the fact that your workers had not finished prepI delayed my departure to observe the pourI paid you in full, giving your Foreman a check on June for the remainderFrom that point on you have failed to communicate with me in a timely manner and dragged this on by not completing the workEvery time you sent folks out to work on the property, you failed to call, text, or email me about what happenedEach time the work was not competedYou have never once sent a picture or detailed description of work completed
To your accusation that I am "bullying" you, I find that rather ironicIt is you who cursed at me on the phoneIt is you who said we could "take this a different way" if I did not keep asking when the work would be completedYour response to the Revdex.com complaint even shows your aggression, but do not take my word for itHere is a report from another customer of yours, "When you go over the details of the work with *** and he doesn't communicate your stated plans with the sub-contracted workers, you know he doesn't listen or communicate well; he was changing my plans until I stepped in and called him out on it; it fell to me to watch and correct the workers more than once; he has an intimidating approach to discussions so buckle up if you want to ride this bull(y); he told me who the on-site foreman was, but it turned out to be someone else, go figure; be aware subcontracted work quality will vary greatly because they are paid hourly and have nominal (if any) vested interest in your satisfactionWould I recommend this place NOT!!" (M ** ***, *** *** accessed July 2013)
Finally, my math is correctI am asking for $5,to ensure I can cover what needs to be doneYour math needs to be checkedOn July, you told me there was about hour of work on the property left to be doneOn July, you state in your response to the Revdex.com complaint there is hours of work to be doneSimple math, the 1-hour you did without finishing plus the hours now needed is hoursI still think short of what needs to be done if the work is to be done to standard
I am the customer; I shook your hand and paid you in full prior to all work being completedI gave you that courtesyAll I ask is for the work to be done in a timely manner, to the standard you, me and your Foreman agreed upon in writing and conversation, and I want to be informedAt this time, I do not have confidence in your ability but more importantly your desire to complete the work in a timely manner to a given standard

I met with Mr.*** on Thursday 7/23/and refilled his patio and we worked out the minor details and the issue has been resolved
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2015/07/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not even close to truthfulFirst, we did not meetI live in *** now, so stating we met and this is resolved is just a way to attempt to brush this asideWe did talk via cell and text but the issue is not resolvedThe remaining stain was applied last week and *** sent me a pictureI have since had two people look at the concrete and there appears to be popping and flaking with the stainTherefore, too much was applied or it is not setting correctlyI spoke with the foreman who remembered the discussion on how the drains were to be installed but he is now on vacation so the issue is still not resolved thereI got an estimate and it is $3,to do the touch up workA lot of this has to do with the fact that the stain is all over the siding and even made it to the soffet under the roofI am sure a lot of this has to do with the delay in cleaning and touch up work that allowed the concrete dust and stain to move and set
From the painter as part of the quote, "Here is the Estimate for your Exterior Please note that we will do our best to remove the staining especially from areas like doors and windows which are not getting paintedAlso you will notice that we will need to paint your soffets as well seeing as how they are also stained Please let me know if you have any questions
Also I am not sure if you are aware but it seems that the sealer that was applied to your concrete is popping and flaking as well , I have a few pics if you would like me to send them."

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/13) */
We try our best to make all of our clients happy, and I definitely want you to be happyI never received any pictures, nor the call I asked forBut that is here no there and will replace your tree and fix the issues you have.Give me a call this
week so we can schedule a time to resolve our issueThe tree ring is not in the contract, but I can give you a free tree ring out of a garden blockPlease feel free to call so your issue can be resolved the sooner the betterthank you

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I will not agree to have the cracks simply "sealed." They will be repaired (ground out and filled) I have received a quote of $to $($per linear foot) to repair the cracks which extend the length and width of the patio The patio is now pulling away from the foundation of the house The repair work has been "scheduled" multiple times and no workers ever show
Sincerely,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is blatantly obvious the character and intelligence level of this man by his response and his lack of grammar/vocabulary skills, so I shall not my hold my breath for an apology nor courteous outcomeHe must have a hard time remembering all of his clients that he has spoken rudely toI have spoken with *** (unfortunately) but have recently only heard him speak rudely with my husband (I monitored the calls but let my husband actually do the talking)Every time my husband has spoken to ***, he has had it on speakerphone and recorded it so I may hear what *** had to sayFinally, one of ***'s employees came out to "fix" the water featureAfter letting the concrete set (as we were instructed to do so), we turned on the water again just to find it is having the same issue of lack of water pressure to one side of the waterfallInstead of even attempting to get this company back out to fix it (for the 3rd time), my husband is attempting to fix it himselfThere is no way that this company can stay afloat with their consistent lack of inconsistencyGood luck to any consumer that dare hire themThere is nothing more this company can do for us, as they would never show anyway, therefore, my only hope is to have this compliant been seen by perspective future clients and save them the hassle
Final Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2015/09/17) */
This project was completed last yearthere was an issue with the pump for the waterfall that we fixedThe issue has been resolved!
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2015/09/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In response to the owner's comment from this morning (I reply immediately vsafter several days, such as how his company works), we do not except his "response"After waiting again for several days, we ended up fixing the water feature ourselvesWe do not wish to deal with this company any furtherThis complaint can be closed with the caveat that the customer in fact ended up having to fix the issue on their own accord
