Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: After lengthy negotiating with the salesman MrJ.Sand MrS.B., we agreed on a sale priceI had happily signed all the purchase documents, the purchase transaction was completed and the vehicle was legally mineI was very happy with the final contract low interest 1.99%, financed by the Bank, and the financed purchase price of $49,( [redacted] city sales tax of approximately $was later added onto the amount financed), and one free oil changeWith the travalue of $33,for my [redacted] truck and rebates of $1,500, having monthly payments less than $MrJ.Sand MrS.Bwere very helpful and worked with me to get the best offer possibleWhen I first drove the [redacted] truck, there was a little vibration in the front-endI told MrJ.Sand he had the front-end aligned- the alignment solved the vibrationMrS.Bgave me one free oil changeMy interaction with MrJ.Bwas very limited, I only speaking to MrJ.Bbriefly prior to his hostile, threatening and unprofessional interaction with me.When I was first contacted by phone, Columbine Ford salesman, MrJ.Squoted me the sale price of $57,for the [redacted] -happy with the quoted sale price, I and my wife drove over miles to Columbine Ford to purchase the [redacted] truckHowever, when I arrived at Columbine Ford MrJ.Ssaid the sale price was actually $58,Considering the additional $to be financed, I decided not to purchase the [redacted] truckMrJ.Sasked the Used Car Manager MrS.Bto help negotiate an agreementMrS.Band I entered into lengthy price negotiationsAfter some time, we finally agreed on a sale price, with affordable monthly paymentsI was happy with the transactionBoth MrS.Band MrJ.Swere helpful and patient in negotiating a final sales agreementAfter agreeing on the sales price with MrS.Band MrJ.S., I had briefly spoken to MsJ.M., Title Clerk, she told me "Columbine Ford was not making any money on the sale" of the [redacted] truck, "only the salesman."After completing the sale agreement for the [redacted] truck, all the sale contracts and agreements were signed by me and MsJ.M., Title ClerkMsJ.Mgave me a white vinyl sales envelope packet with the sale contracts and agreements enclosedHowever, when I asked for copies of other documents I signed, MsJ.Mrefused to provide the copiesShe stated, I do not have a right to the copies! I informed MsJ.MI have a right to copies of all the documents I signedMsJ.Mabruptly took the legal documents from me and the Columbine Ford folder on the table and left the roomMoments later MrJ.B., Owner/Manager, approached me and my wife, yelling, "Get Out! We are not selling the truck to you! Saying I was rude, insulting and demanding, accused me of past similar transgressions and demanded I leave the premisesMrJ.B.' response gives no reasonable or clear explanation as to why MsJ.Mand MrJ.Bsuddenly reacted ,to me and my wife, in such a hostile, threatening, unprofessional manner; refused to give me copies of the signed documents, refused to sell the truck to me (after I signed all the contracts and agreements) and refused to immediately properly destroy all the legally signed contracts and agreements in my presence? Therefore, I must reject the response, because being a frugal consumer I negotiated the best deal possible, I was happy with the transaction and I happily signed all the sale contracts and agreementsThe response leaves many questions unanswered that my wife and I want to know, Why??? If MrJ.Bconsidered me such a difficult and unhappy customer didn't MrJ.Bterminate the sale prior to me signing all the sale contracts and agreements? Why, did negotiating a sale price and requesting copies of signed documents give MrJ.Bcause to believe the sale should be abruptly terminated? Would a reasonable person abruptly terminated the sale for the reasons MrJ.Bstated in his response? Why, specifically, did MsJ.Mrefuse to give me copies of the documents I signed? Why, specifically, what provoked MrJ.Bto confront me and my wife in a very hostile, threating and unprofessional manner? And, why did MsJ.Mtake the signed contracts and agreements from me and MsJ.Mand MrJ.Brefuse to immediately properly destroy the signed documents in my presence? Furthermore, MrJ.B.' concerns of me being an unhappy customer is mote-the salesman were very pleasant and did very thing to make me happy with the sale; secondly, I live in [redacted] (over mile from Columbine Ford) after the sale any warranty repairs and routine maintenance work would be done by a [redacted] Ford dealershipBut of most concern is; MrJ.Band MsJ.M.' actions have caused me consider undue high stress and anxiety that is harmful to my mental and physical health (I am a 100% service-connected PTSD disabled veteran) and I have suffered health problems and considerable mental anguish since the incidentI incurred monetary expenses driving over miles round trip to Columbine FordSeveral hard credit inquiries were made that will inevitably make it difficult if not impossible to get a low interest rate and good deal to pur [redacted] a new [redacted] truckMy wife and I, still have questions that need to be answeredWe want answers , Why??? Regards, [redacted]

Dear ***, We sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding We were asked to see if you would qualify for the 0% from [redacted] Credit and when you did not qualify with ***, we attempted to get the best financing through our other lenders We are sorry that this has negatively affected your credit We were doing our best to get the financing you wanted and we are very sorry that it did not work out We have been told that any inquiries by the same source on the same day should not count as multiple credit pulls Unfortunately this was not the case for you and we are extremely sorry that your credit has been negatively impacted The credit reporting agencies do not allow us to remove inquiries We apologize.Jimmy B [redacted] Columbine ***

Columbine Ford requested additional information from the customer and was able to discuss the issue directly with him We were given permission from Mr [redacted] to drive his vehicle extensively (which is not part of our diagnosis process because most customers don't want us to put a lot of miles on their vehicles) to try and duplicate the problem We were able to duplicate it and are in the process of making the needed repairs We appreciate Mr [redacted] allowing us to drive the vehicle as needed and hope to have the vehicle back in his hands shortly

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: You may have my signature on an application, that is great and looks out for your best interestHowever, your shady car salesman is who should be at blame for thisHe sees a year old female walks in and knows exactly how he is going to take advantage of herI specifically told him twice (once when I called and made the appointment, and again when I arrived at the dealership) that all I was requesting was a balance owed and any feesHe never once talked credit or said it was going to be runI had zero intentions of buying out my lease that day and never wanted to know what my payments would be- [redacted] was going to finance it for meDid he give me other numbers than I requested? YesDid I ask for them, noI told him multiple times that I didn't know how the whole process worked and I was doing nothing while I was thereI had a banker at [redacted] doing everythingI understand you may have my signature, but it was done in the shadiest way possible and I will make sure I tell everyone in the area what happened and to never do business with anyone thereConveniently I do work in a bank where people finance cars ALL the time- I will make sure to refer them to [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

We apologize we are unable to meet your expectationsThis is the reason we gave a complete refund for your oil change package in the amount of $in which had been usedWe feel it is probably better that you seek your automotive needs elsewhere

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Again, Aaron C [redacted] the Service Advisor stated that Columbine Ford has a two-year unlimited mileage warranty on the services that they performed on November 7th and that Columbine Ford would fully cover the warranty work! Aaron even stated he would double check with the service manager Paul E [redacted] to make sure this was covered, and called me back and stated YES! This stuns me that Columbine Ford has chosen to ruin a long time customer since over something like thisNow that it is time to pay for the warranty work, it’s not covered! Sounds fishy to me! I would not be wasting my time or anyone else’s if I was told this was a 1-year warranty from the get go! Now you are saying “We apologize you do not agree with our response, however from the beginning your reasoning for reimbursement was for faulty workmanship (I never said faulty workenship [redacted] Motor Company said this)Workmanship has a month 12,000-mile warranty, (which was news to me on 10/5/thru Revdex.com) the coupon you supplied in the response states a parts warranty of years and unlimited mileage would apply if the spark plug itself had failedEverything you have supplied to Columbine Ford indicates faulty workmanship which has no existing warranty”I am not satisfied with what Columbine has statedI will not be satisfied until I receive a refund check of $ Regards, [redacted]

We are very sorry for the misunderstanding that took place between you and Columbine Ford We do have signed documents in your handwriting showing that you did authorize the credit check in question as well as a signed Purchase Agreement The credit application form clearly states that you are applying for credit and your signature is on the "applicant signature" line The purchase agreement also has your signature For the purposes of lowering your payments, it is necessary to apply for credit in your name to determine if you qualify Our sole intention was to assist you with this process By your signature, you did give your consent to have your credit checked We understand that you are upset that your credit was "dinged" because you are in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage You are requesting that we send a letter to the credit bureau stating that you did not authorize your credit check, but that is not correct and it would not be accurate us to put that in writing The entire misunderstanding certainly got out of hand and there were apparently many unkind things said on both sides of the phone We do apologize for that We did not seek to deceive you and feel very badly that you think that was the case

Columbine Ford has a industry standard workmanship warranty for months or 12,miles whichever occurs firstThis repair was made 11/7/at 131,miles failure occurred approximately months and approximately 31,miles since repair which exceeds the month warranty on workmanship
Columbine Ford does not feel we would be responsible for a refund on said repairs

*** ***To Whom It May Concern:Re: *** ***ID# ***Columbine Ford Service Department
received Ms***'s vehicle on 4/11/at which time Ms*** was experiencing a shutter between first and second gear most noticeable in townTechnician checked vehicle on 4/11/and experienced the shutter while on test drive Technician checked for technical service bulletins and found on the (TSB) Technical Service Bulletins 15-applied to vehicle concernPer Technical Service Bulletin 15-technician performed recalibration to transmission control module as outlined in (TSB).After repairs were completed Ms*** inquired if vehicle could be delivered to *** for a fee, Service Manager, Paul E***, agreed to deliver vehicle to *** for a fee of $Ms*** agreed but cancelled different times and finally agreed to have vehicle delivered the weekend of 4/16/ However there was a large snow storm coming to the ***/*** area and delivery was to be rescheduledMs*** then elected to come pick up vehicle herself which incurred far more expense than the delivery fee.Customer has since experience continued issues with the transmission and we have advised Ms*** that the best solution is to get the vehicle into her local Ford dealership for further diagnosis and repair.Ford Motor Co has issued a Field Service Action (FSA) 14Mand 15Bwhich provides a warranty extension for the Transmission Control Module, which possibly could apply to Ms***'s concernMs*** purchased an Extended Service Plan that may also be applicable with the concern but without additional diagnosis no verification of coverage can be done.Columbine Ford Service Department is uncertain of how to resolve Ms***'s concernWe have followed the repair procedure as outlined in TSB 15-at time of repair no additional repairs were needed. We attached in this email all supporting documentation including repair history of the vehicle, the Technical Service Bulletin, the Ford Oasis showing open Field Service Action, technician notes and email correspondence with Ms***.We are very apologetic that Ms*** is still experiencing issues with the vehicle but without further diagnosis we are unable to assist with resolution to Ms***'s concern

Mr*** purchased a *** *** with a manual transmission Before he purchased this from us, the vehicle was owned by a family member of one of our techs, and was therefore maintained and serviced regularly here at the dealership When the vehicle was being traded in by the family
member, one of the sales managers with *** clutch experience test drove it specifically to feel the clutch and engine power At that time, and up until the time that Mr*** purchased it, the clutch was in perfect working order The pedal engaged low in the throw, was smooth and didn't slip Additionally, when the *** was inspected after it was traded, there was no indication of a clutch problem When Mr*** test drove the car before purchasing it, the sales person noticed that his foot was in the clutch pedal during the drive and that the gas and clutch pedals were being slipped Both types of activities cause fast clutch deterioration and premature wear.Columbine Ford did not sell Mr*** a faulty vehicle and therefore has not agreed to paying for the repair However, we will extend a one-time goodwill discount on parts and labor of 10% off retail pricing in the event he would like for us to perform the repair for him If he wants to take advantage of this offer, he can simply call our service department to schedule the appointment

I am rejecting this response because: As a consumer the expectations of being told the time it would take to work on my vehicle was not met along with the unprofessional manner and rudeness that the service manager, Paul Edwards, expressed when I questioned him on the amount of time it would take to fix the vehicle and why I had not been notified of this amount of time to begin with. Paul's lack of understanding and willingness to help me as a customer when I asked for help and then to put the whole misunderstanding back on me because I had not been properly informed about the time it would take to fix the vehicle IS NOT JUST "NOT MEETING MY EXPECTATIONS".

We apologize you do not agree with our response, however from the beginning your reasoning for reimbursement was for faulty workmanship. Workmanship has a month 12,mile warranty, the coupon you supplied in the response states a parts warranty of years and unlimited mileage would apply if the spark plug itself had failedEverything you have supplied to Columbine Ford indicates faulty workmanship which has no existing warranty

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business, and I am grateful that the general manager of Columbine ford was so helpful in regards to the management of their repair and service department, this issue in not completely resolved but is currently in the processThey drove our vechile from rifle co to grand junction and duplicated the shuttering problem and found two lines disconnected from the twin turbo systemWe are currently waiting for parts to eliminate the exhaust fumes entering the vehicle and a written explanation as to our complaints of the engine shuttering problem and current wear and tear to our vechicles internal parts having driven with this problem for 60,milesHopefully this issue and all of our concerns will be handled promptly and I will update this response when the process has been completedThanks for your time and help

Mr. B[redacted] assures Mr [redacted] that all documents relating to the purchase of the vehicle have been properly disposed of by shredding these documents.  We take great care in making certain that we do not dispose of any signed legal documents unless they are shredded.  Each of the...

finance offices has a shredder that may have been mistaken as a trash can by Mr. [redacted].  We are sorry that the situation became so unpleasant but Mr. [redacted] was very difficult  from the beginning with the salesman then the finance person and also with Mr. B[redacted].  Columbine Ford made the decision that it was better not to do business with Mr. [redacted] as he was unhappy from the start and would never have been happy with any part of this transaction.

We apologize we are unable to meet your expectations. This is the reason we gave a complete refund for your 10 oil change package in the amount of $199.00 in which 3 had been used. We feel it is probably better that you seek your automotive needs elsewhere.

We are very sorry for the misunderstanding that took place between you and Columbine Ford.  We do have signed documents in your handwriting showing that you did authorize the credit check in question as well as a signed Purchase Agreement.  The credit application form clearly states that...

you are applying for credit and your signature is on the "applicant signature" line.  The purchase agreement also has your signature.  For the purposes of lowering your payments, it is necessary to apply for credit in your name to determine if you qualify.  Our sole intention was to assist you with this process.  By your signature, you did give your consent to have your credit checked.  We understand that you are upset that your credit was "dinged" because you are in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage.  You are requesting that we send a letter to the credit bureau stating that you did not authorize your credit check, but that is not correct and it would not be accurate us to put that in writing.  The entire misunderstanding certainly got out of hand and there were apparently many unkind things said on both sides of the phone.  We do apologize for that.  We did not seek to deceive you and feel very badly that you think that was the case.

Revdex.com:
While I appreciate the apology from the business, it does little to change the fact that they damaged my credit with 6 unauthorized credit pulls. While the apology does not erase their actions, the damage has been done and according to the business, cannot be rectified.

I am rejecting this response because:

You may have my signature on an application, that is great and looks out for your best interest. However, your shady car salesman is who should be at blame for this. He sees a 26 year old female walks in and knows exactly how he is going to take advantage of her. I specifically told him twice (once when I called and made the appointment, and again when I arrived at the dealership) that all I was requesting was a balance owed and any fees. He never once talked credit or said it was going to be run. I had zero intentions of buying out my lease that day and never wanted to know what my payments would be- [redacted] was going to finance it for me. Did he give me other numbers than I requested? Yes. Did I ask for them, no. I told him multiple times that I didn't know how the whole process worked and I was doing nothing while I was there... I had a banker at [redacted] doing everything. I understand you may have my signature, but it was done in the shadiest way possible and I will make sure I tell everyone in the area what happened and to never do business with anyone there. Conveniently I do work in a bank where people finance cars ALL the time- I will make sure to refer them to [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because:Again, Aaron C[redacted] the Service Advisor stated that Columbine Ford has a two-year unlimited mileage warranty on the services that they performed on November 7th 2014 and that Columbine Ford would fully cover the warranty work! I would not be wasting my time or anyone else’s if this was a 1-year warranty! I am not satisfied with what Columbine has stated “Columbine Ford has an industry standard workmanship warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever occurs first. This repair was made 11/7/2014 at 131,361 miles failure occurred approximately 21 months and approximately 31,000 miles since repair which exceeds the 12-month warranty on workmanship. Columbine Ford does not feel we would be responsible for a refund on said repairs.” Please see attachments that can be found on Columbine Ford’s website that clearly state 2-year unlimited mileage warranty.I will not be satisfied until I receive a refund of $409.31Regards,
