Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,[redacted]
This is liable and should be dealt with in court  What Mr. [redacted] says is inaccurate.  I called Columbus Campers having found the camper we wanted online on January 19 and Mr. [redacted] said that we could have the 'deal' done and approved etc by Tuesday.  My husband's businesses are in Vermont and so our mailing address has always been the PO box in Vermont where his businesses are. .  We own a house right over the border in [redacted] MA and we put both as the mailing address & physical address.  When THEY filled out the final paperwork they filled In the PO Box in [redacted] but put the [redacted], MA city which of course was incorrect.  I am a realtor and own and manage several vacation rentals in the [redacted].  We have recently become Florida residents and are building another house on OUR property in near [redacted]t which is where the camper will be housed.  All this was explained to Mr. [redacted] and for him to say that we are scammers is liable and should be dealt with in the courts.  We have impeccable credit and are [redacted] customers and were approved immediately by [redacted] and each time we tried to make an arrangement to come and pick up the camper we were given different reasons why it couldn't be picked up.  TEN days later after we had scheduled and rescheduled with my brother in law to come and pick up the camper Mr. [redacted] said that it wouldn't be possible because the address had to match our Florida address on our licenses and that we would now have to start with a new contract.
At this point we were completely exasperated and decided that there would be a good chance, we would make the 11 hour trip to find yet another reason we could not have the camper.
Mr. [redacted] told my husband that that he couldn't have his $3000 deposit back for 10 days because the check and paperwork had been mailed to the bank and it would be that long before they got it back.  When my husband confronted him with the fact that the CASHIERS check had been made out to Columbus Camper and would make no sense to have been mailed to the bank, Mr. [redacted] THEN said that he hadn't said that but rather it was 'his' policy to wait 10 days to be sure checks cleared.  A CASHIER's CHECK doesn't clear, it's money and is instantly credited to his account which happened days ago.  He continued to refuse to send us our deposit check back whereupon my husband said he would contact the Revdex.com and the Governor's Office of Consumer Protection, feeling at this point we'd never see the money.  Mr. [redacted] was on speaker phone and I will quote his words before he hung up on us  "Now you won't get your money in 10 days, you'll get it when I've gotten notice from the Consumer Protection office."
If you go online and google 'reviews' for Columbus Camper you'll find many such stories as mine and particularly referencing the 'owner' himself,  and then to the 11 complaints filed and the "F" rating given Columbus Campers  by your Revdex.com, it speaks for itself.  To say we are scammers?
As I write this we are in our car driving to [redacted] to buy a camper and our appointment is made and done.  Scammers?  Mr. [redacted] owes us $3000 which he has now had for over a week and we would ask that he immediately fed x us OUR money and we had given him our FedX number to do that.  He refuses to do so.
Thank you for your consideration.  [redacted]

[redacted] AND [redacted] WANTED TO BUY A CAMPER OVER THE PHONE AND THEY WE SENT THEM A CREDIT APPLICATION AND THEY PUT A VERMONT PO BOX AS THERE ADDRESS , WELL AFTER WORKING WITH THEM THEY HAVE A VERMONT PO BOX AND A FLORIDA [redacted] DRIVERS LIC. [redacted] CALLED ALMOST EVERY...

OTHER HOUR CHANGING EITHER DELIVERY FROM A OUTSIDE SHIPPER TIME AND LOCATION OR THE TIME THERE FAMILY MEMBER WOULD PICK IT UP, DEMANDING EACH TIME THAT THERE WAS A GREAT RUSH ON PICKING THIS CAMPER UP FROM OUR DEALERSHIP AND THE WHOLETIME THE CONTRACT WAS NOT PAID FOR BY THE BANK WHO FINANCED THEM.
WHEN THE BANK RESEARCHED THE ACTUAL ADDRESS AND FOUND OUT THAT VERMONT IS NOT A PLACE OF RESIDENCE AND ONLY A PO BOX THEY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD US THAT THE BUYERS WOULD HAVE TO BE RECONTRACTD SHOWING FLORIDA AS THE PLACE WHERE THE CAMPER WILL BE KEPT AND TAGED WITH THE CORRECT HOME ADDRESS.
WE AS A DEALERSHIP FELT THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL THAT THEY DID NOT PICK UP THE CAMPER BEFORE WE GOT OUR MONEY FROM THE BANK BECAUSE WHO KNOWS IF WE WOULD HAVE EVER GOT PAID WITH THE CAMPER SITTING DOWN IN [redacted] FLORIDA.
YES THE BUYER DID PUT $3000.00 DOWN AND YES IT WAS A CASHIER CHECK AND YES WE DO HOLD ALL REFUNDS UNTIL TEN DAYS AFTER THE CHECKS HAVE BEEN DEPOSITED IN OUR BANK.
NO WE NEVER SAID THAT WE SENT THE MONEY WITH THE CONTRACT AND WHAT WE DID SAY WAS THAT THE DAY WE SENT THE CONTRACT TO THE BANK WE MADE THE DOWN PAYMENT DEPOSIT IN OUR BANK.
WE FELT THERE WAS A SCAM GOING ON THE WHOLE TIME AND WE STILL CANNOT SHAKE THAT FEELING, THE BUYER USES A VERMONT ADDRESS AND LIVES IN [redacted] FLORIDA WHICH WE UNDERSTOOD IT WAS JUST A VACATION SPOT WHERE THEY WHERE GOING TO HAVE THE CAMPER NOT THERE HOME THAT THEY ARE PLANNING ON LIVING IN I GUESS AND WITH [redacted] CALLING AND PUSHING THE PICKUP DATE BEFORE THE BANK COULD CATCH THE SCAM I WOULD SAY WE GOT LUCKY.
SO LONG STORY SHORT WE DO HAVE A 10 DAY HOLD ON ALL FUNDS DEPOSITED.
WHEN MR [redacted] GOT RUDE AND VULGAR ON THE PHONE WE DID HANG UP BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE ABUSE FROM A BUYER WHO WAS RUNNING A SCAM ON OUR DEALERSHIP.
WE FEEL IT WAS A SCAM BECAUSE AFTER ONLY 48 HOURS THE BANK INFORMED US TO RECONTRACT THE BUYERS USING THE FLORIDA ADDRESS AND THE BUYERS ALL OF A SUDDEN DO NOT HAVE TIME TO RECIEVE A FEDEX OVER NIGHT AND SIGN THE NEW CONTRACT WITH THE CORRECT FLORIDA ADDRESS ON THE CONTRACT AND SEND IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP.
AND YES WE HAVE BEEN DOING BUISINESS AT THE SAME LOCATION SINCE 1999 AND WE DO HAVE 11 COMPLAINTS FROM BUYERS WHO WAS UNREASONABLE WITH THERE DEMANDS.
OUR DEALERSHIP HAS SOLD 4300 CAMPERS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS AND 11 COMPLAINTS SOUNDS NOT GOOD BUT NOT ALL THAT BAD IF YOU TAKE THE 4289 OTHER BUYERS WHO SAVED AN AVERAGE OF $ 5000 ON EACH CAMPER,
WE WILL OF COURSE REFUND THE BUYERS $ 3000.00
BUYERS WHO MAKE THREATS AND WHO ARE RUDE AND DEMANDING FOR NO REASON WILL NEVER HAVE A GOOD BUYING EXPERIANCE.
AGAIN WE ARE SO LUCKY THE THE BUYER DID NOT PICK UP CAMPER AS PLANNED WHO KNOWS WHERE THE CAMPER WOULD BE NOW.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First...On July 11th I did as they asked and took the trailer to them to look at. The service man assessed the problem and determined it was a bad master cylinder. He told us that it can take a few weeks for the part to come in and therefore we could take the boat and trailer home and they would call us when the part came in.  I watched him write down the needed information to order the parts. I waited 2+ weeks and never heard from anyone. I had to call and ask for a status update.
Secondly - demanding...probably so. If I do not demand it be repaired, how else can it get repaired because Columbus Camper has not made an effort to repair it.  *I never wrote in my Revdex.com complaint that I was understanding - because I am not understanding...I am the opposite. I do not understand why I have waited this long to get a warrantied part fixed. Polite - I did not use profanity, I did not raise my voice, I have waited weeks with no update on the status of the part that was to be ordered.  I simply wanted answers and feel I am getting the run around.
Lastly, now I am told that In order for the trailer to be fixed, [redacted] has to come fix the brake system and the boat has to sit at Columbus Camper until this happens.  I was NEVER told this. The man at the service center said he was ordering the part, it would be about 2 weeks, then I could bring the trailer back for the part to be replaced. BUT - at the end of our conversation on 7/25/15, I asked the gentleman on the phone what would be a good day to bring the boat...unfortunately he had already hung up on me! I work two full time jobs, and my husband works in [redacted], therefore I need to schedule a date and time to bring the trailer and need to know a close estimate on the date the trailer will be ready because I have to arrange my schedule and make sure I have access to a vehicle that can pull a trailer/boat without brakes. Unfortunately, I was not given this opportunity because the phone call was disconnected by Columbus Camper staff.
As I have stated in my Resolution request..".I want the trailer fixed with proper communication in a timely fashion. I would like a respectful polite manager to call me with a resolution to the problem - I don't want to bring the boat and wait weeks on end to hear nothing but a bunch of excuses. The trailer was purchased at Columbus Camper, the trailer has a warranty. The warranty needs to be honored and the trailer fixed."  I do not mind bringing the trailer for [redacted] to come repair or I can bring the trailer when the part comes in as I was originally told was the process - but communication is key to customer satisfaction and being hung up on is unacceptable.  Someone at Columbus Camper needs to call me to make arrangements and give me a general idea on the length of time the repair will take.

*The buyer was not as polite and understanding as they wrote on the Revdex.com complaint.

I recently bought a camper from the Columbus location and I received very good and friendly service. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the product and answered all my questions. The financing was done fast and they got me a great rate. I was in and out in a little over 2 hours. The service guys got it prepped and checked all devices to be sure they were working. I hope if I do need any warranty
or service work done, they will handle it as well as the sell went. I am very happy at this point. They offered the best price I could find on the unit I was looking for.
