A third attempt to repair the windows was completedI will not know if the job was done correctly till it rains againThere was no compensation from Columbus Handyman to make up for damages or work time lost caused by the leaks and multiple attempts to repairIt took over nine months to get to this point and there was little to no effort made until the Revdex.com was involvedThank you for your assistances with this issue, Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed Mr***’s responseHe did not mention how much money he owed meHe didn't want to return my moneyHe always talked something irrelevant to the main subject I followed the insurance estimate to pay himHe took the first start payment $14,and he only worked $worth jobAll the works are finishedHe should return me the rest $I have asked him to pay back many many times and he never wants to return the rest of money I have given him jobs to work onCabinet installation Painting house Appliances installationI paid him cabinet and appliances job right awayWhen I was paying him the last appliances payment , I asked him that he still have some started payment can be paidHe did not want to pay and told me that it will be a different accountI think he was planning not to return my money I did not owed him any moneyI have no financial problemsI upgraded my carpet and my hardwood floorI spent my own money to pay the extraThis is not his business and nothing to do with this case

I have contacted Mr [redacted] by phone so we can resolve his issues with windowsI assume everything was ok from our last visit when went out to caulk windowsMy installer said there were no issues with crack windows sills when they completed installwe will make sure Mr [redacted] is completely satisfied when we go back to correct any issuesthanks John H***

I [redacted] have contacted the owner and explain to him my team had tried several times to start project, we were not able to connect with the tenents for several reasonsMy self and the owner has agreed to a full refundI tried several times to process his credit card payment to our old credit card company, which they told me that transaction was completeI assume this transaction was refunded thru are new credit card company and in fact it did not happen, thereful I explain this problem to customer and he and I both agreed to send out check for his refundTo explain we changed credit card companies and the process was very difficult,to issue a refund to someone that paid there downpaymentGoing forward I talked to Mr [redacted] on Thursday Jan 22nd and we both agreed that I would wire the funds or send out payment the last week in Januaryhe will respond to Revdex.com when he receives payment in the next few daysthanks [redacted] Owner Columbus Handyman

Mr [redacted] did not answer my questionHe should explain how he could not to pay back customers money without doing that much workWhat is the insurance explanationHow much the insurance pay me is not his business

I am writing to ask that you re-open our complaint with Columbus HandymanWe are not satisfied with the response from the companyFirst, the owner, MrH [redacted] did come to our property to walk the grounds with usThis was only after we had initially contacted him back in November when we expressed our unhappiness, but he never came outMrH [redacted] did not come out to our property until my husband called him back again to specifically ask him to come out to our homeWithin the first seconds of stepping into our yard, MrH [redacted] said that if this was his home, he would also be upsetHe also did not walk the entire property, he stopped the walkthrough and said he had seen enough, so how would he know what the full extent of the issues are? He advised us, as he did in the response to the Revdex.com complaint, that he could see the issues with qualityWe also found even more problems after he leftWe made it very clear to MrH [redacted] that we were unhappy, and we were just having him over as a courtesyWe had already spoken to MrH [redacted] and his workers numerous times before this, discussing our unhappinessMrH [redacted] said he was going to call us back in a couple of days to discuss if he could refund us our money, but after a couple days, my husband had to contact MrH***He originally said he would refund the money, then he went back on that and said because we filed a complaint he could no longer refund us anything until he spoke with his lawyer and/or Revdex.com representativeHe did also say something about already spending the money on materials, but we never came to an agreement or understanding about what was to be doneWe never told MrH [redacted] that we wanted them back on our property to continue the work, therefore I am not sure why he took it upon himself to purchase more materialAlso, you can return any material that was not used, so I do not know how that is a part of his response to our complaintMrH [redacted] also wrote in his response, "on Monday March 6th we showed up at Mr C [redacted] and would not let us take care of the issues"The lead carpenter, Leonard was confrontational and unprofessional with my husband on March 6th, therefore we requested Leonard to leave our propertyMy husband then contacted both MrH [redacted] and the PM Grant that he had to request Leonard to leave our property because of his unprofessionalism and confrontational demeanor MrH [redacted] knew, as we made it very clear, that we were very uneasy about having people, who should have done the work correctly the first time, who had already come out and 'fixed' things, that are still finished inappropriately, to now come out again and do the workIt just does not make sense for us to have him come out to fix the mistakes that have been made on our property multiple times alreadyWe feel uncomfortable with this suggested solution because we do not feel safe that the work will be done properlyMrH [redacted] also responds about us making payments and a final paymentWe did make payments because that is what we were told to doThey called, asked for a payment, therefore we paidWe were not happy with the work to begin with, but we also thought more work to remedy the issues were still to be doneIt was not until we were able to take a closer look at the work and quality of the work that we became even more unhappy (ieboards falling off, nails sticking out of the fencing, the deck is literally falling apart, part of our 6ftprivacy fence is being held up by our neighbor's chain link fence, etc)We paid for the deck, fencing and door/window install, and gutters when we were asked to, therefore, we are not customers who were refusing to payWe simply are requesting a refund because the work was done improperly and their solutions that they have offered are just not acceptableThey want to rip down and reuse the fencing we already have which is already compromised in quality, they want to use workers who have already shown that they are not willing to do quality work, the owner or PM want to 'supervise' the job again but where were they when we originally had issues with the work in November, and it just doesn't seem like good businessMrH [redacted] also states in his response, "keep in mind also this project started in winter and tho it has been mild the soil or landscaping has been muddy." If this is a professional company, which we specifically asked them about and were told it would not be a problem, then why would they not advise us to wait to build our fence so that our landscaping would not be completely destroyed? How are we supposed to know, that is why we hired a professional company, to advise usMrH [redacted] ends his response with, "I cannot offer a full refund as the issues can be taken care of"If this is so, then is he saying, per our complaint, that he is willing to pay for another company to completely tear down, replace with brand new and rebuild, our deck and fence (as MrH [redacted] has said he would be willing to do to my husband), plus refund us for the [redacted] chainlink fencing that they scrapped (after we made it very clear that we wanted to keep the fencing), fix the bowed gutter, plus compensate us for the trash/concrete/sawzaw blades that they left in our yard that we and our neighbors had to clean up, and compensate us for our ruined landscaping? MrH [redacted] has been disrespectful and confrontational every time we have spoken with him on the phoneWe have had this added stress to our lives for the last months because of Columbus Handyman's unprofessionalismWe do not find it unreasonable to ask a company to refund us our money when they have had to come out to our property over times and different people working on the project, to attempt to fix things that were completed improperly, as well as everyone blaming someone else for the workmanship and customer serviceIt is also not unreasonable for us to not want them on our propertyWe are concerned that MrH [redacted] is stating that we said we were happy with the work when that is not true at allWe would never be happy with work that is clearly done improperlyHe also states that we walked the job with his workers and Project ManagerThis also concerns us because if he, the owner could see all the problems within the first few seconds of stepping on our property, how could these other professionals not notice the improper installation of all that was completed? We also have proof of our communication with MrH [redacted] and his company which started back with complaints in November, as well as pictures of all the improperly installed materialsThe pictures do not lieAt the very least, we have expected an apologyMrH***'s response to us has always been, "What good would an apology do anyways?" My husband's response to MrH [redacted] has always been, "but you've never tried."

I met with customers yesterday March I walk thru with them and and explained to them I would get back with themthis complaint showed up in my email today there was no mention to me from the customer Mr [redacted] that this was filedTherefor here is my response; I agree there are problems that my lead carpenter on the Job will take care ofwe have tried several times to make this project and customer concerns taken careon Monday March 6th we showed up at Mr [redacted] and would not let us take care of the issues we had bought all the material at our expense to remedy there concernswhen they made there final payment on the contract I was told there was no issues and Mr [redacted] was happykeep in mind also this project started in winter and tho it has been mild the soil or landscaping has been muddyMy decision is to credit or discount the job and let us finish the corrections which I will superviseif Mr [redacted] is still not happy with the corrections then we need to adjust contract furtherI cannot offer a full refund as the issues can be taken care ofthanks John H [redacted] Owner Columbus Handyman

I would like to reply to Columbus Hanyman's last posted reply with the following. What kind of disreputable company is Columbus Handyman? They cashed my check for $17,in April and never began work on their contract? They seem to think I have made them a zero % loan with no pay back date and have broken eight agreement they made to pay back They says they are working with my lawyer to pay back their zero % loan but are not Though they payed a nominal amount back weeks ago, I have listened to too many excuses why they haven"t got the moneyI fear I will havel to file a case with the Ohio Attorney Genera'ls Office

We have decided to refund customer her deposit on her contractwe tried several times to accommodate Mrs *** she was not comfortable with Columbus Handyman holding her deposit until work was to begin.there was a trust issueI myself the owner decided to refund her on her request

I am rejecting this response because: It is not a full rejectI am fine with painting the walls if they guarantee they can be painted again when neededI would like to know what is going to be done about all the swirls and scratches in my vanity topsOther than that I am fineI appreciate MrH***'s quick response to my concerns
Regards,
*** ***
