Mr N [redacted] signed a contract with us on 4-17-We did the roof on 5-17-We sent him bill on 6-1-with no responseAfter trying to contact him with no avail, we sent his file to our attorney to start the lien process on 8-1-we were finally paid thru our attorney on 9-13- His warranty was voided as per our contractWe will, however, take care of any wind damage from the recent high winds in the area this time.Please have him call our office to schedule a date.(864-***-***) Thank you,D [redacted] R***Reeves Construction864-574-

Due to the extent of the damage caused by the tornado, our priority was to stop any further damage by tarping the areaAy the homeowner request, we tried to get the insurance company to replace the entire roofThat sometimes takes timeIn the meantime, we did do the siding repairs, which we have not been paidWhen the final answer from the insurance company was to do the repair only, we put it on the scheduleWe had several weather delays as well as trying to match the closest possible shingleThere were a lot of people affected by that storm and making sure walls did not fall down and keeping homes weather tight that were in much worse shapeWe have since completed the roof repair.Thank you,Donna R***Reeves Construction864- [redacted]

records, we do not have any record of D*** J***We have a MrsJ*** close to the *** area that we did work forI spoke to her this morning, and she is happy with usThat lead me to research D*** J***We have not received any money or payment of any kindWe have no contract or any other paperwork on herIf the check/checks were made out to another person using our paperwork, that is a criminal matterI would like to get a copy of that paperwork, including anything made out to him so I can pursue legal action myselfI have notified local law enforcement and the licensing and permit boards, so he can not use our license

*** ***Response: As of weeks after Reeves took our check, the sales rep still worked at Reeves and said he would try again to contact the ownerReeves has not contacted us about an install date for the skylightThe skylight has nothing to do with the leakIt was damaged in the hail storm but is not the cause of the leak, so Reeves has apparently not even read the insurance adjusters comments about what needs to be repaired, it's much more extensiveReeves says that one call was made; one call was made to the main office after weeks of contacting the sales rep and I still have the call logs and the texts of him apologizing for Reeves not respondingIn fact the Reeves workers that came to our home to start the inside work apologized because they couldn't understand why the roof repair workers would not respondThey themselves tried to get to the bottom of this for us, but were unable to do soRegarding the skylight, they showed up on Friday Feb 26th unannounced to measure the skylight, and as of today March no one from Reeves has contacted us about setting a date for anything

Our guys have been in contact with both Mr.and Mrs C*** last weekShe also spoke with our supervisor this morning around 7am to confirm what they are doing today

Morning Cindy - enclosed are the documents - I received two checks from the insurance company - for $2,228.64, 2nd $6,= $8,562.84. As noted below - roof was completed for $8,leaving a credit balance of $362.84. I have not heard from Reeves. We have done 80% of the work we were supposed to do on the *** jobAt this point, we would be happy to give him a 100% refund, or the chimney which is about a $value and was not included in the insurance estimateThe insurance paid to repair a skylight, interior work, which is 80% complete and some fascia metal and a few other odds and ends, that do not address the chimney leak

I received your note via email this morning regarding
Complaint ID [redacted].  There is a major error in what Reeves construction
is stating in their response.  Here is what they said:
“ 
The office has spoken to and left a message for the [redacted]. We told them that
the skylight had been ordered and when it arrived, was the wrong size so we had
to wait on the correct size.
They
were informed of that. We were told we could not finish the interior until the
leak was stopped.(that makes sense) However, the leak has nothing to do with
the skylight or the roof. The problem is with the chimney,which is not in the
insurance paperwork anywhere. Our construction supervisor explained to the
[redacted], in person, that the problem was the rotten wood on the chimney, and
two areas of flashing. We are working on a price to repair that, but has
nothing to do with what we were originally contracted to do.
 In fact, the when the supervisor visited us (now almost 2
weeks ago), he found an ADDITIONAL source of the leak, which is the
chimney.  This is not the original source that the original agent found,
but is in fact a 2nd source.  The way they have worded their
response it is as if they are saying the leak wasn’t coming from the original
place on the roof, but instead the leak is coming from the chimney.  But
the reality is there are two sources of leaks, and I showed the supervisor both
separate leak points where water was coming into our house.  What he did,
was pinpoint the source of the 2nd leak, but the first is still a
source of a leak that has yet not been repaired.  Reeves is correct that
the chimney leak was not on the original insurance paperwork, but this is a 2nd
source and has nothing to do with the first source. 
Reeves finally contacted us on March 3rd with a
phone call (there was not a message left as indicated in their reply), and the
person was very apologetic about not contacting us or returning our voice mail
to them from weeks prior.  She said she would send their best man out the
next day and he did visit us, I showed him the 2 places where water was coming
in our house.  He quickly acknowledged the source of one of the leaks, and
then found that the chimney was the source of leak number 2.  We agreed he
would get right on it, and that was almost 2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard
anything back yet.  This morning I left them a message that I was going to
take them to court over this.  It was been way too long, and they have
2/3’s of the money from the insurance company and they are not doing anything
to communicate, to set dates for the repair, or anything.
