? The contract was with me, not my son *** ( *** ? ), living in CO, who ***d a plumber for meHe paid the transportation with his credit cardi called him to check my fundswhen the plumber told him the estimate, *** asked him to leave the houseHe never worked with my son, who was unaware I was coerced into believing an inspection for the sale of my house would not pass, as the water line material was illegal...I showed the line in the basement along the back of the house to the plumber for replacement with copperthis was not done-only the so called burst line under the floor, which he assured me was a burst pipe-before inspectionThe permits were NEVER pulledthe Orleans inspector had to call and ask for it days afterHe was visibly upset by the amount of torn ceiling; not fixing the leak from the back of the refrigerator first, and lies about not passing inspectionHe noted the unnecessary removal of the feet of ceiling which was uncalled for at an hour-a job for a repair contractor-a timely permit might have prevented this(that is why there was noneI didn't know about a permit) A FLAT RATE was NEVER mentioned-only the estimate of for the whole jobThe flat rate came up when I called Tewksbury the next day and, later, in my call to the owner in Boston who also made the point that the plumber doing his work unless it was causal? The offer of a refund was threat, quote "Pay the Bill or Settle in Small Claims Court." I chose to do that myself-here in OrleansThe spontaneous remark sounded like it had been made before to othersMy lawyer advised -even though I would receive a positive judgement , there is no guarantee it would be carried outLawyer fees would be counter productiveThey were NOT HERE NINE HOURS !! They arrived after 11:am started work ripping apart the ceiling in the basement at 12:pm until 3:then took over an hour for lunch and buying materials and left before 6:pmThey would have had to be here until 8:pm if hours, I have witness to 1/hours of which no work done during of them Meal & Talk? THE FACTS:The plumber refused to fix a leak on the back of the refrigerator, stated falsely the leak was from the water line under the floor, which was not ( I showed them where the water was dripping) ripped up feet of ceiling and insulation when only two joists were involved; put a copper line showing from the side of the refrigerator; added a plastic valve under the sink with about feet of cooper and plastic valve unnecessarily and finally repaired the line at the refrigeratorThey did not fulfill the contract to replace the water line written on the form I signedTheir job was to fix the leak at the back of the refrigerator-about minutes-and I only needed a ceiling contractor to repair 3ft ceiling contractor to repair 3ft ceilingNo materials were definedthe labor appeared under "materials" no hours recorded.?

Revdex.com Of Eastern, Ma.? With regard to the last notification from The Comfort Doctors? This is the third time this company has decided to lie about their scam? They were in Orleans for 5-1/HOURS, as I stated each time, and have proof? My plumber showed up around 10:and I turned him away because the CD were already on their way? He had not contacted me after my Saturday and Sunday calls, so I made several calls to others that morning? Then, called my son in Colorado sometime after 9:00a.m? IT WAS 7:A.Min Colorado and he was readying to leave for work? He located the Comfort Doctors, via ***? Since it was listed as close to Orleans, ? he arranged for them to make the call- paying time-travel of $They received the call around 10:00a.mand were here in rather a short time from Tewksbury- a little after 11:30a.m? (This also sets up the fact that they may have been closer to the area.) ? They cleverly are using a wrong travel-time to try to MAKE HOURS? They left here before 6:00p.m.- They would have had to be here until 8:p.m., as I stated before? They came and talked at least minutes telling me of the illegalities in the present water line- convincing me to change to copper-- before I signed their estimate? It had to be an estimate as they had no knowledge of a burst line...As I stated, they ignored the leak at the refrigerator until just before leaving=knowing it would ? solve the problem for their call? Just think; they installed about 18ft-20ft ? of copper looped behind the refrigerator- to the house wall; feet looped under the sink; connected a plastic valve, and lastly, pushed a plastic tube back in place on the refrigerator? Would that take houeven 1/? They also left the house for more than an hour for lunchHow were they so specific in their estimate about labor and materials as $3,789- before doing the work- when they had knowledge of a possible leak ? from the refrigerator? The price was based on the entire removal of plastic tubing - what other reason would I pay that kind of money? ? They keep referring to “he” ? I am not a “he”This is an outrageous scam-- they did none of the line along the back of the house, the necessity of which was bogusThey used the excuse of insulation removal for hours work? What they did was really a travesty for me, as it cost me another $to repair what was doneI have stated my case, named witnesses, told the truth and submitted pictures? If you choose not to accept this as a scam-I don’t know what is.?

Defamation of character will be my counter claim lawsuit.

Revdex.com Of Eastern, Ma. With regard to the last notification from The Comfort Doctors.  This is the third time this company has decided to lie about their scam.  They were in Orleans for 5-1/2 HOURS, as I stated each time, and have proof.   My plumber showed up around 10:30 and I turned him away because the CD were already on their way.  He had not contacted me after my Saturday and Sunday calls, so I made several calls to others that morning.  Then, called my son in Colorado sometime after 9:00a.m.  IT WAS 7:00 A.M. in Colorado and he was readying to leave for work.  He located the Comfort Doctors, via [redacted].  Since it was listed as close to Orleans,  he arranged for them to make the call- paying time-travel of $260. They received the call around 10:00a.m. and were here in rather a short time from Tewksbury- a little after 11:30a.m.  (This also sets up the fact that they may have been closer to the area.)  They cleverly are using a wrong travel-time to try to MAKE 9 HOURS.  They left here before 6:00p.m.- They would have had to be here until 8:30 p.m., as I stated before.   They came and talked at least 45 minutes telling me of the illegalities in the present water line- convincing me to change to copper-- before I signed their estimate.  It had to be an estimate as they had no knowledge of a burst line...As I stated, they ignored the leak at the refrigerator until just before leaving=knowing it would  solve the problem for their call.  Just think; they installed about 18ft-20ft  of copper looped behind the refrigerator- to the house wall; 8 feet looped under the sink; connected a plastic valve, and lastly, pushed a plastic tube back in place on the refrigerator.  Would that take 9 hours-or even 5 1/2 ? This is an outrageous scam-- they did none of the line along the back of the house, the necessity of which was bogus. There are a few comments I wish to add in rebuttal to the response from the business:1-There was not sewage backed up; the original complaint was that two sinks were backing up slightly.2-I was originally quoted a price of $465 for two hours and was not told that a: this was per-hour, and b) that there would be an hour of travel involved.3- The second plumber did not "fake a clog" he cleared a real clog. Comfort Plumbers claimed there was a collapsed pipe that required immediate repair. A few weeks later I had [redacted] out to examine the pipe with a camera. They said the pipe was not collapsed, and was instead bellied where the pipe enters the septic tank. This belly was not visible unless you ran a camera down the pipe, which Comfort Doctors did not do. I had the repair done with another plumber ([redacted] who charged me $4400 for the repair, and it took about 5 hours. Comfort Doctors told me that it would take 16+ hours, require an excavator, and the tenants would have to use porta-potties while the work was performed, and their bill would be $21,799.4- Comfort Doctors broke the access cover to the pipe with a hammer before the work was even started. I had to pay an additional $200 to have it repaired.5- I did not expect Comfort Doctors to stay; they were free to leave at any time.6- When I was presented with the invoice for $1395, I told them I was not authorizing any charges over the initial $465 and I would be in contact with them in the morning to discuss the bill. Instead Comfort Doctors charged me the additional $930 that night. This charge was not authorized by me.7- I called Mr. [redacted] the following day. He kept me on the phone for an hour. I tried to reason with him that I would have never agreed to have someone come out to just look for $1,395. I even offered to pay him $700 which he refused.8-After looking more into Mr. [redacted] and his business practices, I discovered that he recently changed his name to Comfort Doctors. [redacted] gives him a couple of poor reviews. He previously went by the name Dr. Plumber, which has a great deal of bad reviews on [redacted] from people who had similar experiences.I am disputing the $930 with my credit card and hope that they don't honor that bogus charge.

[redacted]

The contract is with [redacted]. We provided almost 9 hours of labor at the house. The price was disclosed, the permits were pulled and the final inspection was done. Everything has been done up to our point. [redacted] paid with a credit card and he was satisfied. We explained to [redacted] that...

we run a flat rate. Tax can not be applied when it is a flat rate as it is already included. IRS state laws states that you can not charge tax on a flat rate. The bid was for $3800 for the quote and estimate. And we were asked to do the job. We worked with [redacted] the entire time to ensure that [redacted] was satisfied. We offered to give her a refund and settle this in small claims and she declined.
