Review: Comic con advertised a time and a price and did not honor either. I was told to register a member ID, verify the member ID at 7am the day tix went on sale, and wait in a "virtual line" at 9am the date tix went on sale as we were all "randomly" put in a virtual line to get tix. I waited over 2 hours to find out I could not even get the worst of tix. This organization should be shut down as there is obvious discrimination taking place.Desired Settlement: Admission to the convention

As Comic-Con has grown in popularity more people would like to attend than we can accommodate. For this reason we make it plainly clear that not everyone who hopes to purchase a badge may be able to do so. In our Terms and Conditions it is clearly stated in bold letters: "Registration for a Comic-Con Member ID does not reserve or guarantee you a badge. "

Additionally, it also states:

"Although Comic-Con makes efforts to ensure the purchase of badges is easy, efficient, and equitable, Comic-Con makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation that, by logging onto the Web site with a Comic-Con Member ID, you are entitled to or be able to purchase a badge. Due to the limited number of badges and the large volume of Comic-Con Member ID holders, badges are sold as long as they are available. Please be advised that Comic-Con badges sell out very quickly. Not all persons eligible to purchase a badge will be able to purchase a badge."

Again we wish we could accommodate everyone who would like to attend but unfortunately with limited space this is not yet possible.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is the standard response I expected. I am not satisfied about the fashion this company decided to conduct business. I do not believe it is fair for them to be able to pick and choose who gets to attend this large convention and who does not. To specify, they have everyone (or so I think) sign up for a "Member ID" prior to "Open Registration". The people who get the Member ID have to verify their code (received 24 hrs prior to "Open Registration") two hours prior to "Open Registration". At this time, they are put into a virtual "Waiting Room" for a chance to register and get tickets. WE WERE NOT TOLD WHERE WE WERE IN THIS VIRTUAL LINE. If it were a legit process, everyone would all know where they stood once they "lined us up" in the virtual "waiting room." They do not. No one is told where they are in line. The possibilities for discrimination here are endless. There should be consequences imposed upon this company for the way they conduct business. People dedicated 3-4 hours of their lives in order to have the opportunity to attend this event. We are asking for 2 complimentary 4 day passes to the convention at this time.
