Community Medical Center Reviews (29)

CMC requested several times  from the consumer additional  information by mail and phone to complete the financial application and we never received it.

We require hard copy proof of income included to the phone review.  That was requested and we never received it.  If consumer would like to provide that we can reconsider.

The Community Medical Center's billing practices are a farse. After spending hours on hold over several days spanning a bill started in February it was finally resolved in September. Unbelievably difficult to get assistance or explanations of bills. Trying to send supporting documentation of the incorrect bill was near to impossible since their fax lines were always busy/not working. I finally had to talk to the head of accounting to get a resolution. This whole department should be replaced!

Review: My ex-husband, [redacted]. [redacted], took my daughter to the emergency room in November and December, without my knowledge. I only found out of this after receiving a bill saying that I was liable for these charges. I contacted CMC after each bill I continually received, and each time they told me that this was an error and that they would send it to the person who signed the waiver ([redacted]). I didn't hear anything for months, and assumed this had been dealt with and that this charge would rightfully go under my ex-husband. Instead, I receive a credit alert that both charges had been sent to collections under my name. I called CMC again and explained once again that these charges were not mine, and that I thought this had been dealt with. She said she would look and see who signed the waivers and call me back. She called me back and said that they were in fact signed by my ex-husband, but I was told that because they are regarding my child that I am liable under Montana state law, despite the fact that I had no idea about the ER visits in the first place. I asked if my ex-husband could continually do this and she replied "I guess so". She then spoke to her director, and they told me to contact the collector and deal with it myself.Desired Settlement: I want these to be pulled from collections under my name. These are not my charges.

Hello!

I checked my credit report today and found that the charges have been removed. Thank you so much for your help!

Review: The first issue I have is that CMC Physician services incorrectly billed my insurance for a medical appointment. TWO YEARS LATER I received the first bill for this service. My insurance said that it would have paid the bill if it had simply received DNC codes for the vaccinations. Because two years have passed it is now too old to bill the insurance and CMC is expecting me to pay a bill that is a result of their mistake. The second issue is that CMC Physician services incorrectly sent me a bill for medical services for my husband that are not his. He not only did not have the services done that they are billing us for, but he never even had an appointment that day.I have called the billing office repeatedly over the last six-to-nine months about these issues and they still are not resolved. I have never seen such incompetence in a place of business.Desired Settlement: I would like both bills removed from my account. The first in the amount of $487 because it was a result of the billing office's mistake and I shouldn't be responsible for their mistake. The second in the amount of $206.57 because we're being billed for services we never received.

Review: Asking for resolution of a billing issue. They threaten collections despite my contacting them multiple times to correct the coding of a medical bill. They have not returned calls or followed through on what was discussed over the phone.Desired Settlement: Correct billing applied and submission to our insurance as previously promised by the billing service.

Review: My wife visited ER due to an inflamed gall bladder. We presented insurance documents to this in network facility. They assigned an out of network surgeon without informing us. Our insurance has covered more than the usual and customary cost of the surgery but doctor is billing us aprox 6 times this amount, a total of $18k (approx $400 per minute). After investigation we discovered that this surgeaon accepts virtually no insurance so that he can balance bill unsuspecting patients any amount that he chooses. We believe this is an unfair practice and that Community Medical is aware of the abuse and even party to it by allowning this practice.Desired Settlement: Community Medical should work with surgeon to resolve issue as they were aware of our insurance coverage and decided to assign out of network surgeon.

Review: I was billed for $82.63 when I only owed $62.63. When my wife called to get it straightened out she was given a run around stating from [redacted] and [redacted] that she had to prove that $20 was paid on the account. She wrote the check on the 7th of March and it was put in the bank on the 21st of March. She had talk to [redacted] on April 21st at 9:35 a.m. plus on May 27th at 8:55 a.m. She also talk to [redacted] on May 1st at 9 a.m. and 15th at 10 a.m. She called our bank to have a copy of the check faxed to them and the one number would not work so they gave a [redacted] number so the bank faxed it on May 28th at 12:03 p.m. Had heard nothing from them. She called on May 30th and talked to [redacted] which kept saying there is nothing they could do without proof. She told them that she was only going to pay the $62.63 and that is all. What is strange is our bank that the check was written on it the same bank that CMC Physician Services use. The bank mailed 2 copies of the check to us and then [redacted] said that would not work. [redacted] also said that they did not get the fax. Not only that she told them it was their stamp on the back of the check. I finally called because of the run around and talk to [redacted]. He said that he had the fax in his hands. Why didn't anyone else find this fax? Why did they arguing with my wife? He apologized but that doesn't help with the run around for months and basically calling us lairs. We tried everything we could to prove it and it was not good for [redacted] to keep interrupting instead of trying to help especially when they had the fax the whole time. No one should go through that. Apology is a little late at that point and time.Desired Settlement: I would like one person to know what the other person is doing instead of blaming the customer. I also would like them to put the check into the account as soon as they get it. The bank ( First Interstate Bank ) was extremely helpful and was doing everything to try and help me. CMC needs to have a meeting to get everyone on the same page and when they say they will get back to you then they need to call you back like promised. Even if it is no news. At least we know they are working on it.

Review: On 8/15/2014 My wife [redacted] went to the community medical center> Her co-pay on health ins. had been already met, so there should be no charge. On 12/27/2014 we received a bill saying we owe $103.96 There is a duplicate charge for the same service on the same day which was covered by insurance. On our ins. explanation of benefits it clearly shows that any amount over covered is not due by the paitent as per their contract. Community continues to say that it is owed and our Ins. keeps telling us that it is no. We have sent the documentation all to no avail.Desired Settlement: Quit billing us and correct your billing and live up to your contract. We have documents if there is a place to incorperate them into this complaint

Thank you for the notification. Please find below Community Medical Center's response. Community Medical Center was notified of a possible error on

this patient account on December 31, 2014. On January 6, 2015 – three

determined that there was an incorrect charge on the identified encounter. The

correction to the account was made that same day and the issue was documented

as resolved. If there are any additional questions about the account, a
